The REDMOND RMC-M60 multicooker is one of the novelties of 2013 and is characterized by the presence of a window through which you can watch the cooking process of a particular dish. The device has a bowl with a volume of 5 liters, quite modest dimensions and a set of ready-made programs. Among the numerous multicooker from REDMOND, the RMC-M60 model has an attractive cost and decent functionality. In general, the reviews characterize this model as quite reliable, although there are opinions that its control is inconvenient. It is quite possible that you just need to read the instructions. A distinctive feature of the REDMOND RMC-M60 multicooker is the presence of a transparent window through which you can observe the preparation of food - a unique opportunity that has not been previously implemented in other models. The device contains many programs, including the "Multipovar" program, where users have the ability to independently regulate the temperature within certain limits. Many users argue that the temperature regimes are not fully implemented rationally.

Also, this model implements many additional features: preparation of dairy products: yogurt and cottage cheese, preparation of cheese and fondue, pasteurization of products, sterilization of dishes, preparation of vegetables for conservation.
Additional conveniences are created by the "Delayed start" and "Auto-heating" functions. It is recommended to use the last function with the utmost care, as it can dry out the dish and make it tasteless. Consumers will appreciate the ceramic non-stick coating of the bowl, and the bowl is universal and can be replaced with another bowl. If necessary, the bowl can be placed, for example, in the oven.

The situation with the transparent window is rather ambiguous. The opinions of users are divided: some say that it is very convenient, and the other half of the users claim that it fogs up quickly, which makes the contents of the multicooker no longer visible from the outside. Also, many question the advisability of its presence.

At the beginning of 2014, the M60 can be considered an outdated model. There are other multicooker with a window in the lid. Moreover, they are more advanced and functional, and at a more modest price. For example, for 3000 rubles or Polaris PMC 0516ADG. And with an amount of 6,000 rubles or more, you can take a closer look at the multicooker-bread maker.

Multicooker REDMOND-M60. Video reviews:

A premium multicooker that can be an irreplaceable assistant in the kitchen. The main advantages of the model: 16 automatic cooking programs + an adjustable “Multipovar” program, a spacious bowl with a non-stick ceramic coating and heat-resistant plastic handles, a convenient touch control panel. The device will make it easy and simple to prepare such dishes as soup, pilaf, fried or stewed meat, bread, pizza, yogurt and others. Note the extra baskets for steaming and deep-fat cooking. Bonus: a book for 200 culinary recipes for cooking in this particular multicooker.

Good afternoon. We are glad to present the multicooker of the specified model. We hope this video will help you use it.
The multi cooker has a convenient carrying handle, a removable steam valve, a container for collecting condensate. Let's open it by clicking on the button. Here we see an aluminum removable bowl lid with a seal and the same steam release valve.
At the bottom of the multicooker there is a heating plate and a button for controlling the bowl. The appliance will not work without the bowl.
The main value of any multicooker is a bowl with a non-stick, ceramic coating. There are divisions on the bowl showing the minimum and maximum levels.
The bowl should fit evenly and tightly on the bottom of the multicooker. And the multicooker itself must be tightly closed before cooking.
Includes - Deep fat frying basket with removable handle. The handle can be removed and put on easily, bowl extraction tongs, steaming container, measuring cup, scoop, stirring spoon. Spoon holder.

Let's get acquainted with the management. The multicooker has the following programs. We press the Menu button - Multi-cook, Milk porridge, Stewing, Frying, Soup, Steamed, Pasta, Simmering, Cooking, Baking, Cereals, Pilaf, Yogurt, Pizza, Bread, Desserts. In each case, the multicooker offers its own cooking time, but it can be changed according to your wishes.

To control there are the following buttons - Express, another program, albeit without settings, pressed, held and the process began. Start - the beginning of cooking. Reheat / Cancel - cancels everything and turns everything off, but it can help to reheat a cold food. If you need to warm up a cold dish, click Heating. The dish will heat up to about 70 degrees. Don't forget to disable. Delayed start. You can postpone the cooking process. Temperature - sets the temperature in the Multi Cook program. Hours, minutes buttons set the cooking time and delayed start
.
Let's reveal the secret: turning on / off auto-heating, which will start after the end of the program, is carried out by pressing the "Menu" button for two seconds while the program is running - a completely non-obvious solution.

The multicooker has touch control. Some buttons work immediately, some need to be held.
Let's move on to examples. Milk porridge. We do not agree with the time of 10 minutes and the buttons for hours, minutes, we set our own value, for example, 15 minutes. We keep Start. The process has begun. Something I didn't like - keep Warming up / cancel.

Another example. Quenching. We agree to cook within an hour, but we want to delay the start. We press the delayed start and the Hours buttons, we postpone it for 5 hours 30 minutes. We keep Start. The countdown has begun. The dish will be ready in six and a half hours. five and a half hours of waiting plus an hour of cooking. In some programs, you still need to take into account 5 minutes of entering the mode. At the end of almost all programs, the multicooker goes into heat preservation mode at a temperature of about 70 degrees.

There are some peculiarities in the Pasta program. Do not rush to throw them. We add to 8 minutes, for example, two more, Hold Start, the water is heating and boiling, we hear the signal, it's time. Carefully open and put Pasta, eggs, dumplings in boiling water. Close, press Start again and wait 10 minutes. The signal sounds, keep heating / cancel. Can be taken out neatly. There is no delayed start here.

Frying. It is better to fry with the lid open. There is no delayed start.

Yogurt. There is no automatic transition to keeping warm.

The best program is Multipovar. You can set any temperature and time. We are offered 120 degrees, and we set the Temperature button to 140, we are offered 15 minutes of cooking, and we press Hours and minutes and set, for example, 20 minutes. For greater importance, through the delayed start button, we postpone cooking for 3 hours, then we start - we hold Start.

Use gentle methods to clean the multicooker body. The bowl is dishwasher safe. The bowl lid is removable. The valve is removed and disassembled. Remember to empty the container.

Let's summarize and list the programs available in this multicooker. MULTI-COOK PROGRAM The MULTIPOOK program is designed to cook almost any food at a user-specified temperature and time. Thanks to the MULTIPOVAR program, the multicooker REDMOND RMC-M90 will be able to replace a number of kitchen appliances. In addition, "MULTIPOVAR" allows you to adapt for cooking in a multicooker any recipe you are interested in, read in an old cookbook or taken from the Internet. Temperature setting range: 35-170 ° С.

3D HEATING

Three heating elements are located in the multicooker REDMOND RMC-M90 in a special way, providing comprehensive and uniform heating of the product throughout the entire volume of the bowl. This allows you to select the optimal cooking temperature for each program, reduce the risk of food scorching and get rid of excess condensation, which means you get a better result.

HEATING FUNCTION

This function allows you to reheat a ready meal even if you just took it out of the refrigerator.

MAINTAINING THE TEMPERATURE OF COOKED MEALS (AUTO HEATING)

Multicooker REDMOND RMC-M90 equipped with an auto-heating function, which starts automatically at the end of the cooking process, keeping the dish hot for a long time. You should use this option wisely, as prolonged heating can dry out the dish.

AUTO HEATING PRE-SHUT OFF

Now it is possible to turn off the function of maintaining the temperature of the dish while entering the cooking program. If the food has been cooked at a low temperature (yoghurt, dough, etc.), the automatic activation of the keep warm function at the end of the program may spoil it. Now you do not need to wait until the end of cooking in order to have time to turn off the auto-heating function. Do this while setting up your multicooker program. Then the automation will do everything for you!
DELAY OF STARTING THE PROGRAM

The delayed start function allows you to prepare a dish at the desired time with a delay of up to 24 hours. Set the desired value on the timer, and the dish will be ready for breakfast or the arrival of guests. We decided to include a fresh video review in this article, in which an attempt was made to unbiasedly deal with the freshly purchased multicooker. Take it apart, so to speak.

Interestingly, it is possible to upgrade this multicooker and install a remote control unit.

The Redmond company not only modernized the controls of this multicooker but also used it as the base model for the Redmond RMK-M911 multi-kitchen. Check out our article Multikitchen Redmond RMK-M911 -programmable stove review and instruction, in which we analyze in detail the operation of this multikitchen. Some of the information given there may also be useful for you - after all, the multicooker themselves are sisters.

Despite the fact that almost every multicooker has a delayed start, many have not yet had time to appreciate this opportunity. But it is this simple function that is simply indispensable for working people who are accustomed to morning porridge and a hot dinner after work. If you come home from work tired in the evening, and barely open your eyes in the morning - this function is simply created for you!

What it is

The Delayed Start function allows you to postpone the start of cooking for a specified time, but no more than 24 hours. Thus, there is no need for a personal presence in the kitchen to start the multicooker cooking program - the delayed start will do it for you.

However, one nuance must be taken into account - this function works only when you select automatic cooking program, where the whole process is set by the multicooker microprocessor: from the set temperature to the cooking duration.

You can only program the start time for cooking.

On practice

Using a delayed start in a multicooker is very simple. To do this, load the multicooker bowl with the necessary ingredients and select the desired automatic program. Before pressing the START button, press the TIMER button, use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the time for which the start of cooking should be postponed, and confirm your actions by pressing the START button.

It should be borne in mind that the cooking process itself will also take time. Thus, if you want to get a hot dinner by 19.00, then the multicooker should start working no later than 18.00. If the program involves a longer cooking (for example, braising), then the delayed start time must be increased by the same, or the delayed start function must be started earlier. It is also not recommended to cook quickly perishable foods using a delayed start, because all this time they will be inside the multicooker bowl, and not in the refrigerator.

Delayed start is convenient because it allows you to prepare all the ingredients when you have time to do so. There is no longer any need to rush to work, set an alarm early in the morning, or postpone a walk with children for another time.

Imagine your multicooker cooking breakfast while you sleep! And when you wake up, you do not need to think about what to feed the children or have breakfast yourself.

If you live alone, this does not mean that a hot dinner cannot be waiting for you at home. While you are busy at work, the multicooker is waiting for you to come home to delight you with the delicious aroma of a freshly prepared dish.

After the multicooker finishes the cooking process, it will automatically switch to auto-heat mode, so don't worry if you are late at work or if you decide to sleep a little longer on the weekend.

Delayed start in multicooker Redmond

Let's take a closer look at the delayed start function using the example of the Redmond RMC-M45021 multicooker.

The minimum possible start delay is 10 minutes, and the maximum possible delay is 24 hours.

]

This multicooker model is equipped with two timers that work independently of each other and remember the time at which food is most often prepared: timer 1 - for morning hours, timer 2 - for evening hours.

To set the delayed start function, prepare the required food and add it to the inside of the bowl. After selecting the required cooking program, you need to set the time for which the dish should be prepared.

ATTENTION! You choose not the time to start cooking, but the time when the dish should be finished! The multicooker will calculate the required time to start by itself.

To set the delayed start function, follow the given algorithm:

  1. Menu- select the cooking mode (except for the "pasta" and "frying" programs);
  2. Delayed START(after clicking you will be offered 2 cells to choose from to save time). Timer 1 can be used for morning hours and Timer 2 can be used for evening hours. Thus, the multicooker will remember the parameters you use, and next time you will not need to set the time yourself, but only select the already saved time - morning or evening;
  3. Time setting
  4. Cooking time- you need to set the time parameters. Each press increases the time by 1 hour;
  5. Time setting- the time setting on the multicooker display will start;
  6. Cooking time - you need to set the time parameters. Each press increases the time by 10 minutes;
  7. START;

The multicooker will switch to delayed start mode and cook food at the SET TIME, then start the automatic heating mode.

Delayed start in a multicooker Polaris

Polaris multicooker models also have the ability to set a delayed start. Let's look at how to do this using an example. Polaris modelsPMC 0512 AD.

This multicooker model can stay in "sleep" mode, waiting for the programmed time to start cooking up to 24 hours. After the end of cooking, the multicooker automatically switches to heating mode.

Before starting the delayed start function, all food must be prepared and loaded into the bowl. If you are going to postpone the start of cooking for quite a long time (more than 6-8 hours), then it is better not to use dairy or perishable foods.

To set a delayed start, follow the instructions:

  1. Select one of the cooking programs (Crust, braising, soup, double boiler, cooking) by pressing the FUNCTIONS button;
    • When you select the Steamer mode, you additionally indicate which products you will cook: vegetables, fish, meat, because the time provided for automatic cooking depends on this;
  2. Then press the PROGRAM button, it will set time to turn on delayed start;
  3. You need to set the time on the timer using the CLOCK buttons (1 press increases the time by 1 hour) and MINUTES (1 press increases the time by 10 minutes);
  4. Press "TIME" to set cooking time, and then on the HOURS and MINUTES buttons - set the time that will be spent on cooking (For example, you can stew for 30 minutes or 50 minutes);
  5. Press START, and the multicooker will go into standby mode, and at the time you specified, it will start the delayed start function.

ATTENTION! In this model, you program the START time of cooking, i.e. to the time specified by you, you need to add the time for heating the bowl to the desired temperature and directly the time itself for cooking in the selected mode.

At the time programmed by you, the multicooker will start cooking, when the appropriate temperature is reached, the cooking timer will start on the display. After the end of cooking, the multicooker will beep, go into auto-heating mode and start the countdown timer. Thus, you can always find out how long the multicooker has finished cooking and, if necessary, adjust the delayed start start time.

The delayed start function is not possible for the following modes:

  • Fast cooking
  • Bakery
  • Pasta
  • Frying
  • Yogurt
  • Heating

Additional features

No wonder, all modern multicooker has a delayed start function. The ability to start the start of cooking without being personally present is one of the most convenient and useful multicooker skills.

However, do not forget to multicooker cooked food at the specified time, and delayed start function was not satisfactory, you should be correct set time in the built-in clock multicooker.

However, the newest models of multicooker can cope with such a problem - special applications for phones and tablets have been developed for them. Thanks to this application, you can remotely start the start of cooking at any time. All you need to worry about in advance is to load the food into the multicooker bowl. And in some settings, you can turn off the automatic heating mode, because the multicooker itself is able to keep the cooked dish warm for up to 2-3 hours.

Most modern multicooker models have such a useful feature as the delayed start function. This function expands the capabilities of the device and improves comfort. It is ideal for those who like to have breakfast, lunch or dinner at home, but do not have time to prepare full meals. Thanks to the delayed start function, you can get freshly prepared porridge, omelet, pilaf or any other dish at the right time. To do this, it is enough to put the necessary ingredients in the bowl in advance, choose the most suitable program and the time by which it is desirable to have a hot dish. The multicooker can handle the rest on its own, and it will do it no worse than a professional cook.

The delayed start mode will be especially useful in the morning, if you put the necessary products in the bowl in the evening. If the device allows you to postpone the start of the program by at least 12 hours, then you can prepare breakfast the night before. To do this, all parameters can be set using the table that is available in the instructions for the multicooker, or you can calculate the time yourself. The same can be done in the morning, and when you come home after work, you can get a freshly prepared aromatic dinner. It should be said that the delayed start mode works only with preinstalled automatic programs.

How to enable delayed start function

The easiest way to figure out how to enable delayed start is with a specific example. In order to get a freshly cooked porridge at 7 in the morning, you need to do some simple calculations. For example, if the food will be placed at 22:00, then until 7:00 from that moment there will be 9 hours. This data will be required at the final stage. First, you need to put cereals, butter, milk, sugar and salt in the bowl, and then mix the ingredients with a special wooden or plastic spoon. Most often, such spoons are included in the multicooker set. After that, on the multicooker control panel, using the appropriate button, you need to select the automatic program "Milk porridge" or another, if you are going to cook another dish. Next, using the "Timer" button, set the time to 8 hours. Please note that not 9 hours, but 8, since it will take 1 hour to cook porridge. Thus, the program will start at 6-00 and by 7-00 the aromatic porridge will be ready.

Therefore, to enable the delayed start mode, you will have to use only three buttons - "Menu", "Timer" and "Start". In some models, these buttons may have a slightly different name, but they will not be difficult to find. The "Menu" button will allow you to select the appropriate cooking program, the "Timer" button will help you set the delay time, and the "Start" button will activate the delayed start mode. For those dishes whose cooking time is less than an hour, it is still recommended to set the timer with this hour in mind. If the dish is ready earlier, the mode of maintaining the temperature of the finished dish will automatically turn on, which will keep it hot until the desired time.
