Write below in the comments what graphic settings the game ran on and what the characteristics of your PC are. It will be interesting for me and future players to know this information.

A network action game about battles on modern tanks, in which you can both fight with other players and complete PvE missions together.

« Armored Warfare: Project Armata» was developed by the famous American studio Obsidian Entertaiment, known for such games as . The game was launched in Russia on September 13, 2015, and worldwide on October 8, 2015. Since February 20, 2018, the game is also available on Sony PlayStation 4. “Armored Warfare: Project Armata” is distributed using a shareware model.

The events of “Armored Warfare: Project Armata” take place in the near future, after humanity has experienced a large-scale war. Now the interests of those in power around the world are defended by private military corporations, and the player is a fighter of one of them. Due to the damage caused by the war, any equipment is used, so in Armored Warfare you will have to fight both on combat vehicles of the sixties of the last century, and on the most modern tanks, such as the latest modifications of the Abrams and Leopard, as well as the Russian T-14 "Armata".

The developers are constantly expanding the number of military equipment, adding vehicles not only from leading military powers, but also from lesser-known states in this matter, such as Brazil or the Republic of South Africa. All equipment is purchased from three suppliers, and to obtain the most modern machines you will have to spend some time on pumping. In addition, the crew also improves - the fighters have about a hundred perks, the choice of which affects the style of play.

The fleet of vehicles is not limited to tanks alone - it is also full of other vehicles. Armored combat vehicles are good for reconnaissance, but they can also snap back quite a bit if their weapons include guided missiles. Tank destroyers are ideal for ambush operations: they quickly change position, are armed with powerful weapons, but are poorly protected. Finally, you can also play as artillery in PvE. By the way, vehicles can be both tracked and wheeled - these two types have completely different indicators of speed, maneuverability and cross-country ability.

Modern technology leaves its mark on the gameplay of Armored Warfare. Firstly, even the heaviest tanks here are very mobile - so battles are often fought at enormous speeds. Secondly, in the game, especially at high levels of pumping, there are a lot of high-tech things - there are guided missiles, complexes for jamming and destroying shells flying at a tank, and just a system for setting up a smoke screen. If you use all this, your chances of winning increase significantly.

PvP in Armored Warfare is represented by several sets of rules. The basic idea is simple - you need to destroy all enemy tanks or capture his base. But there are also options: for example, there may be objects on the map that the capture of which will help the team - like artillery support or a drone showing enemies in a certain square. Finally, there is the Clash mode - it takes place on a huge map, players fight for control points, and conditions can constantly change. For example, the positions that need to be held change at each stage, plus there may be a sandstorm - and then visibility will drop significantly.

PvE fans can try their hand at completing cooperative missions for five people. Initially, these were separate missions, but then the developers moved on to releasing special operations - mini-campaigns consisting of several missions. The tasks are united by a common plot, and the special operations themselves gradually reveal the details of the world of Armored Warfare and the events that take place in it.

Armored Warfare is made on one of the latest versions of CryEngine, which allowed the developers to create an impressive picture. The tanks are modeled down to the smallest detail, plus excellent special effects, and the system requirements are not very high.

Victory in Armored Warfare largely depends on how well you know your tank and enemy equipment. Therefore, if you decide to play, then take a look at the section on our website - it contains guides on all popular tanks, as well as a lot of other useful information.

And a brief description of this game will be given below. We are talking about an online action game created by Obsidian Entertainment. The user will have to participate in battles while controlling a tank. The project is dedicated to modern military equipment. Here you can control tanks, artillery and other types of armored vehicles. In the project you can find many combat vehicles that are in service with different countries.

Maximum performance

So, let's start with the minimum that is required for Armored Warfare. The system requirements in this case can be called modest. First of all, we need RAM, at least 2 gigabytes. GeForce and more powerful models are suitable as a video adapter. The Intel Core 2 Duo is a processor that is quite capable of handling the load of gaming. Windows 7 is suitable as an operating system. Moreover, its bit depth is not important, both x86 and x64 will do.

Perfect quality

You can achieve maximum beauty from the graphics of Armored Warfare. At the same time, system requirements increase significantly. RAM requires 4 gigabytes. The ideal video card for this case is GeForce. An Intel i5 processor with a frequency of at least 3.0 GHz is also required. As for the operating system, it can be any current version of Windows.

Golden mean

We have examined the two extremes that Armored Warfare places on equipment. The system requirements are higher than those of some competitors, so to maximize the optimization of the game we will give a few more tips. According to the developers' recommendations, it is better to use a 64-bit operating system. Sometimes in 32 problems arise when working with a client. At the same time, the creators of the game claim that this difficulty will soon be eliminated. In addition, Armored Warfare is compatible with Windows 10, and the game runs just as fast on this system as on others. Now let's discuss the issue of RAM. The game client itself requires about 1.5 gigabytes to operate. This allows you to run it on systems that have less than 4 GB of RAM, which is what was specified in the minimum requirements section. At this stage of development, the game takes up more than 41 gigabytes of hard drive space. Of these, 14 are needed by the distribution, and another 26 are allocated for the client. Every day there are updates that increase the stability of the project along with its performance. Now you know how to launch Armored Warfare. Its system requirements on PC are very lenient with minimal settings.

Many players should be familiar with Obsidian Entertainment. She is the one who is designing “Armored Warfare: Project Armata”. A large number of entertaining gameplays have been released under her name. The company's specialization is RPG, so its participation in the design of a release in a rather unusual genre seems interesting. The main difference between the game under review and the same development of its main competitor is the timing of the action: there are no ancient T-34s here, and everything is run by modern-type equipment with powerful force.

Don’t even think about the barely moving ancient military transport. In Armored Warfare, Abrams and Leopards literally almost fly across the battlefield, which helps to increase game dynamics. The first clashes begin already in the first seconds of battles: squads of tanks controlled by players move at speed around the map, hiding in closely spaced shelters, and making a breakthrough to the rear of the artillery in this game acquires the status of not a simple tactical move, but a matter of strict obligation.

Project Armata system requirements

The system requirements for the game Project Armata are as follows:

  • OS: Windows Vista, Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8. x64 (64 bits)
  • Processor: from 3.1 GHz Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4440 CPU @ 3.10 GHz (4 cores), ~3.1 GHz or higher
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • Video card: GeForce GTX 275 896 MB
  • DirectX version: DirectX10 and higher
  • Hard disk space: 44 GB
  • Additionally: Internet connection 128Kb/s or faster

As for the sensations that the player experiences while playing Armored Warfare, they are not similar to those in World of Tanks, but much more dynamic - like an online action movie: you need to make tactical decisions almost on the fly, and stay alive by the end The game is very difficult.

One cannot but be pleased with the number of all kinds of equipment, variations and body kits installed on the tank. The design in which the interface is made becomes an excellent assistant in order to understand the existing diversity and make an informed choice. But still, windows that constantly pop up with hints (which are typed in small font) greatly strain your eyesight. For a comfortable game, of course, you need a personal encyclopedia.

One of the most serious changes since the time of the CBT is the changed branch for pumping. There are two types of tanks in Armored Warfare: light and combat. As for combat ones, everything is obvious here - they still remain the main weapon of a tank rush. But the light type, different from those encountered in WoT, should be dealt with. They are no longer the famous firefly scouts, but have become fast and maneuverable hunters who perform various useful purposes on the battlefield. Thus, the functional purpose of reconnaissance activities has been transferred to armored combat vehicles, which are not actually tanks. However, the speed they are capable of developing is impressive.

Review of the game Project Armata, for those who want to watch the game

In addition, branches of tanks with national status are a thing of the past. You will play as a mercenary, whose equipment does not come from a government warehouse, but from a kind of “black” suppliers who do not care which state owns this or that type of equipment. The main point on which attention is focused is her behavior during the battle.

For example, from Sophie Wölfli you can receive equipment from heavy equipment such as tank destroyers, and from Marat Shishkin - equipment of a reconnaissance nature. During battles, players are not divided into camps, and both can fight for one team, otherwise there would be a significant imbalance.

For fans of tank simulators, the technology development branches will also be a nice feature. The game under review presents them in volume, with a wide range to choose from. However, sometimes improvements introduce confusion into the game. For example, to install some new gizmo on a certain vehicle, you first need to purchase an “upgrade” in accordance with other vehicles representing this family.

The Armata project has earned very positive reviews

Testing was carried out in game version 0.19 with the maximum quality profile selected.

A recording of the battle in the mission “Operation Cobra” was played, which takes place in a location with abundant vegetation in heavy rain. All this puts maximum stress on video cards, especially when combined with explosions and smoke. The same minute-long episode was repeated six times.

The game has SD and HD versions of the client with different textures. First, let's compare the performance in two versions of the client with the same Ultra quality.

The difference between the two options is minimal. Therefore, feel free to enable HD in the settings; SD mode will only be relevant for very weak video cards with a memory capacity of about 1 GB. In HD mode, video memory load is 500 MB higher, but still below the 2 GB level.

Let's compare NVIDIA and AMD video cards in 1920x1080 resolution at Ultra quality.

GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and GeForce GTX 960 demonstrate 37-47 fps, which may suit an undemanding user. Since these are performances in a heavy test scene, many gaming cards will have higher frame rates. But the minimum option for comfortable gaming is the GeForce GTX 780, and better with higher frequencies. In the low-end segment, the GeForce GTX 950 is noticeably faster than the Radeon R9 270X. Senior AMD representatives are losing to the GeForce GTX 780 Ti, and the GeForce GTX 1060 is even further ahead.

Standard Ultra settings include FXAA anti-aliasing. Based on the experience of our other reviews, we can safely say that this is an economical method that has minimal impact on performance, but not the best. SMAA may work a little better; MSAA provides maximum picture quality. This anti-aliasing has a serious impact on performance. Let's see if older video cards can handle MSAA in 4x mode.

This anti-aliasing seriously reduces the performance of all video cards. Only GeForce GTX 1060 and GeForce GTX 780 Ti allow you to play in this mode. The Radeon RX 480 has an unacceptably low frame rate, and the video card itself is at the level of older models - Radeon R9 290X and GeForce GTX 780.

On NVIDIA video cards you can also use special anti-aliasing TXAA. It affects performance at about the MSAA level, but ensures perfectly smooth lines without ladders. The downside of TXAA is that it blurs the picture; image clarity in this mode is slightly reduced.

Let's look at performance at 2560x1440 resolution. The younger models were discarded from this comparison, but the overclocked Radeon RX 480 and the GeForce GTX 1080 at nominal were added.

The senior representative of NVIDIA easily copes with the WQHD format, outperforming the GeForce GTX 1060 by 61-65%. The latter also provides high performance, allowing you to play normally in this mode. Please note that the Radeon RX 480 at maximum frequencies is still weaker than the GeForce GTX 1060 at nominal, and at the initial frequencies the older Radeon loses to the GeForce GTX 780 Ti. You can play on the GeForce GTX 780 only with overclocking.

Will video cards overcome high resolution with MSAA 4x?

An unbearable load for the GeForce GTX 1060 and Radeon RX 480, although the usual ratio is maintained with a serious gap for the NVIDIA video card. Only the GeForce GTX 1080 can play at a resolution of 2560x1440 at MSAA 4x.

The last test will be a comparison of older video cards in 4K mode. Due to the low frame rate in Ultra mode, I had to lower the settings to Very High. Here the GeForce GTX 1060 and Radeon RX 480 are tested at nominal and overclocked.

The GeForce GTX 1060 breaks the 30 fps mark after overclocking, the Radeon RX 480 is traditionally in the rear. In any case, the performance of both is low; only the GeForce GTX 1080 allows you to play in this mode.

conclusions

The game "Armored Warfare: Project Armata" demonstrates nice graphics thanks to the CryEngine engine. But the system requirements are higher compared to other tank MMOs. The minimum option for Ultra quality in Full HD is the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or GeForce GTX 960. The GeForce GTX 1060 video card allows you to play comfortably not only in the standard Ultra mode, but also with the additional activation of high-quality MSAA anti-aliasing. The GeForce GTX 1080 easily handles 2560x1440 resolution and even allows you to play in 4K, but with a slight reduction in graphics settings. AMD video cards in this game are weaker than similar NVIDIA solutions. In particular, the Radeon RX 480 is not only inferior to the GeForce GTX 1060; in heavy modes with MSAA, the video card is even inferior to the GeForce GTX 780 Ti. In the budget segment, NVIDIA solutions also look preferable. 2 GB of video memory is fully enough for resolutions of 1920x1080 and 2560x1440. Higher volume is required for heavy MSAA modes or in 4K format.

Tank MMOs are extremely popular among domestic players. Among the well-known representatives of this direction is the game “Armored Warfare: Project Armata”. This is a Mail.Ru Group project, which was developed and until 2017 supported by the Obsidian Entertainment studio. The game invites you to take part in military conflicts of the near future using armored vehicles of different classes - from models of the 50s of the last century to the most modern combat vehicles. Among the progressive models of weapons, the T-14 Armata tank is also available, the name of which is included in the title of the game. There are mandatory PvP battles, and there are also a variety of team missions in PvE mode. Armored Warfare uses the CryEngine engine and puts forward serious system requirements. In this review, we will find out which video cards will provide a comfortable gaming experience with maximum graphics quality in different resolutions.

The CryEngine engine provides detailed, vibrant images on large, varied maps.

The game offers large areas with complex terrain. Combined with abundant vegetation, the local landscapes look very pretty. Relief texturing is intensively used.

Note. These issues may be resolved if you update your device with the latest version of the operating system. Just before the open beta held at the end of August, we now also know that it is recommended to take full advantage of it.

Various player groups are available in the game

Of course, those who participated in the beta testing saw that it was possible to increase the stud a little with the proposed requirements. Don't forget that they serve to ensure that the user can play the game with a minimum quality. We are modifying the light tank, which was too effective in the open beta; and we agree that horses can take too many shots at this time.

A picture rich in details with pleasant lighting effects pleases the eye. There are also well-developed industrial maps with factories and oil complexes. But some maps lack detail; they look more faded compared to the background of the main locations. So the final impressions are mixed.

Review of the game Project Armata, for those who want to watch the game

Through beta testing we have also found that you need more tools to work on cars before this and no doubt we will see what we can do to help you. Felipe Ferreira Lima Vicente - 1º Ten. The evolution of conflicts in their four generations brought about a spring of change in the basic concepts of what was considered the ideal weapon for war. The great battlefields have given way to the narrow streets and alleys of the cities of the modern world, and armor has become a much more modern figure in this operating environment.

Armored Warfare runs on DirectX 11. The game has several graphics quality profiles and a set of manual settings. Maximum visual impressions will be ensured by maximum graphics quality, and it is in this mode that we will compare NVIDIA and AMD video cards. By default, FXAA anti-aliasing works, but SMAA and MSAA algorithms are also supported; the GeForce GTX has an exclusive TXAA mode. Additional testing will be carried out in MSAA 4x quality mode. Higher graphics cards will be tested in high resolutions, up to 4K mode (3840x2160).

Features such as portability, size and weight are becoming increasingly important when designing the ideal weapon for today's soldier. The project has been approved and is ready to equip various military organizations of the army. Since then the battle has undergone a constant process of mutation, and his article "The Changing Face of War - Into the Fourth Generation" divides Mr. Lind into four generations.

The evolution of war has always been parallel to the evolution of the main means of warfare: weapons. Ancient swords and muskets have given way to modern and precise weapons, enhancing the combat power of the 1st to 4th generation military. Modern battle has also proven ideal for the use of armor, especially in cities where the enemy's position is often unknown, making armored protection even more important.

This study was conducted within the framework of the scientific process and methodological procedures. Thus, it began with documentary and bibliographical research, where, firstly, texts concerning the evolution of armed conflicts were analyzed after the Treaty of Westphalia, giving a brief analysis of the successive evolution of weapons.

Finally, documentation obtained on the use of armor in modern combat, especially in the Beirut, Grozny and Baghdad campaigns, was analyzed. In everything that has been revealed, especially in the evolution of wars, we can observe that battle undergoes a constant metamorphosis, adapting to missions, enemy, terrain, means, time and civil affairs, which we know as decision factors.

As part of this constant evolution of war, its larger symbol, the weapon, never ceased to change. From the Treaty of Westphalia to the present day, we can divide the war into four distinct phases. At that time they were conducted on large fields, formally and orderly.

This period was fundamental to the development of armies, since it was then that uniforms, continents, and hierarchical degrees were introduced, creating a military culture. The second generation was summarized by the French as "artillery-infantry capture". The detachment commander became a great guide who organized his resources according to the stage of the conflict.

Discipline was highly valued at the time, where initiatives were not allowed as they could endanger the rest of the troops. The third generation of war is also a legacy of the First World War. Developed by the German Army, blitzkrieg or maneuver warfare is based on speed, surprise and mental and physical movement rather than firepower itself. Third generation warfare is not linear and requires commanders to have much greater planning and coordination capabilities.

Initiative was more important than obedience if it was aimed at accomplishing a mission. The 4th generation may be the most diverse and complex generation, since the greatest achievement of the Treaty of Westphalia has been lost: state control of war. Thus, conflicts that characterized themselves as political acts involving a struggle of interests between two peoples became an ideological issue that must be managed by anyone who wants to fight for any reason.

War has lost the minimal order that existed under the Geneva Conventions and the international law of armed conflict, since its participants are no longer exclusively military. Another striking feature of the 4th generation is that much of the conflict has migrated to the cities, among the population, where terrorist and revolutionary groups can co-opt members and support themselves more easily.

In parallel with the evolution of wars, weapons also developed, becoming lighter, smaller and with smaller calibers. This is mainly for two reasons: the movement of war from the countryside to the cities; and the increase in the amount of material carried by a soldier these days.

Over the course of four generations of war, its environment has gradually changed, from the large fields of the past to the alleys, streets and alleys of today. In close combat, weapons with high flow are not required, which is typical, for example, when lengthening the barrel. This fact allowed the weapon to shrink over time, reaching an average size of 850 mm today.

Another major issue with the evolution of warfare is the amount of material carried by a soldier. During the 1st generation of wars, the military mainly carried its own weapons and ammunition. Nowadays, in addition to weapons and ammunition, a modern soldier carries with him a computer, night vision equipment, gas masks, a ballistic helmet, a ballistic vest, non-lethal weapons, various grenades, a kettle, a canister, a work ration, various kits, among others. make him prepare to rotate about 30 kg.

All of this content is constantly being developed to become lighter and easier to download. With weapons it could not be otherwise, being constantly the object of research to reduce its weight. Additionally, as a consequence of modern combat, armor has become a common medium in urban environments, especially when used to create a combined combat vehicle - naval vehicle. Due to its characteristics such as mobility, wide and flexible communication system, and armored protection, the use of force has become commonplace in current warfare.

The reason for these requirements is that the interior of an armored vehicle is a relatively dense area to accommodate Marines, as well as their specific materials, which cannot be left outside the backpacks. In addition, in addition to what was previously stated, the armored vehicle is increasingly used in urban environments where light, small and easy-to-handle weapons are required.

The city is a fact when it comes to modern combat. The 4th generation took the war to a narrow, confusing and dangerous place. The characteristics of the armored unit, such as armored protection, mobility, and a wide and flexible communications system, made it a powerful alternative to solve urban failures.

Accompanying the evolution of war, the armed forces have evolved, one as a consequence of the other, wars developing with weapons and weapons developing as a result of war. A modern project, well researched, well evaluated and Brazilian. This last is perhaps its most important characteristic, which allows its continuous improvement, in addition to the development of national industry.

Its characteristics, especially its size and weight, are the key to its success and the path to its entry into the hall of the world's top weapons. There is still a lot to develop in the project, which will never stop, especially when we are talking about war. Relatively often we receive complaints from players that the game does not work properly. In most cases, however, after taking a closer look at the player's situation, it turns out that the problem is caused by a combination of the player's report and the selected graphics settings.

Despite having a relatively strong machine, they deny their performance advantages thanks to the 32-bit operating system. To prevent similar issues in the future, we would like to pay attention to the minimum and recommended system requirements. You must identify them to ensure that your gaming experience is as smooth as possible.

Armored Warfare also uses modern technologies. First of all, you should pay attention to dynamic protection: the first shell destroys the armored unit, while leaving a gap in the protection. If a shot hits this particular gap, the armor itself is struck. In order not to come under fire from vulnerable points, it is necessary to “scroll” the body, that is, spin in place like a top.

There are two modes: PvP battle mode and PvE mode. As for the second, unfortunately, separate cards have not been developed for it; for this reason, actions are carried out on the same number of cards inherent in the first mode. A full-fledged opponent is also not thought out, and players will be forced to beat bots in the process of carrying out individual operations around the world. Each mission has a specific task: in one place - to destroy an object, in another - to capture a point. No more than six tanks can take part in one PvE battle at a time, while they have significantly more opponents. This is where all the lessons learned during PvP battles come in handy. As for tasks with a low level of complexity, here you can allow yourself to relax; there is no punishment for a bad position or simply wasted ammunition.

operating system Windows XP/Vista/7/8
CPU Intel Core i5-4440
RAM 4 Gb
Free hard disk space 10 Gb
Video card Nvidia GeForce GTX 275
DirectX version 9.0c

Armored Warfare requires a lot of computer resources to run properly. Its graphics are at a normal level, but you can only enjoy it if you have a good video card from the Nvidia GeForce 8600 category or stronger. You can find information about the video card if you use the context menu on the desktop in the “Settings” tab, or it is better to open the computer’s system settings and look in the “Display” tab.

In addition to the video card, the computer must have Direct X version 9.0c or higher. Windows XP does not support versions higher than 9.0, which means that for Windows 7 or Vista you will have to install more advanced versions of Direct X on your computer. You can download Direct X from the official website, where you can select the current version that suits your operating system.

The game works on Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 operating systems. The game will not work on older versions, and it will not work correctly on new versions.

RAM is an important part of hardware. The game requires about 2 GB. You will need about 10 GB of hard drive memory to install the application. You can find out whether there is enough memory on your hard drive using the context menu that is called up when you click on the local drive in the “My Computer” window.

An Intel Pentium Dual E2200 or stronger processor is capable of adequately processing data from the Armored Warfare game and not being overloaded.

Ways to check system requirements

1. You can find out your computer’s system parameters using the Win+R key combination, after which you must enter dxdiag and press Enter.

2. On the desktop, right-click on the My Computer icon and select Properties in the window that opens.

If your computer starts to perform poorly while the application is running, you can reduce the settings to the minimum levels, which will increase performance at the expense of worse graphics. If this option does not fix the problem, then you can check out other similar games on the site that will meet the system requirements of your PC.
