HP Q2612A manual

To refill the cartridge we will need the following tools:
1. Phillips screwdriver;
2. Wire cutters;
3. Homemade awl;
4. Paper or newspaper;
5. Funnel attachment;
6. Toner.

Homemade awl. Can be made from a regular awl, bending the tip 40 degrees. It will be useful at those stages when the cartridge pins will be pulled out. Used both for refilling the HP 1010 cartridge and for refilling other models of cartridges where the pins have to be pulled out. Therefore, we recommend purchasing this device.

Will refuel cartridge Q2612A. To view the cartridge in detail, you can click on the picture.

First the spring is removed. Next, the protective curtain of the photodrum is pulled back, we grab it with something, for example, a scraper or an awl, and then remove the spring. It is advisable to remember how she stood. If you install it backwards incorrectly, it will start to hit the photodrum.

As in the picture, unscrew the two screws that secure the drum cover.

Remove the cover.

Then we pull out the drum, lifting it by the gear.

Using an awl or other grip, we pull out the charging roller, hooking it onto the metal axle.

The picture shows a hole inside the cartridge; a pin is pushed out through it, which holds the halves of the body together.

This illustration shows the hole on the other side of the cartridge.

An awl is inserted into the hole and the pin is pushed out.

A similar procedure is performed on the other side of the cartridge. Be careful when turning the cartridge, there is waste left in it that can shower you with toner.

We hook the pins on the outside of the cartridge with duckbills (nippers) and pull it out.

We carry out similar actions on the other side. The cartridge is now disassembled into two halves.

Let's take the half with the waste toner. Let's consider several options. The drum curtain is removed, the screws are unscrewed, and the waste is shaken out, after which it is necessary to vacuum it. The second option is to carefully vacuum through the gap between the squeegee and the toner collection. And the easiest option is to simply shake out the waste.

We take the second half of the cartridge, which contains the magnetic shaft. We unscrew the cover from the side where there is no gear on the magnetic shaft. Rock the lid and carefully remove it.

We take out the plug that covers the toner hopper and hold the magnetic shaft with our fingers.

Now we pour the toner into the hopper, holding the magnetic shaft, not allowing it to fall out and the toner to spill out.

Carefully put on the lid. We take care not to damage the spring on the magnetic shaft. Tighten the cap with a screw.

Let's take half a cartridge with a waste bin. First we wipe the charging roller and install it. Then the photodrum is installed. The photodrum cover remains removed for now, so that later it will be more convenient to insert the pins that connect the two halves of the cartridge.

The halves of the cartridge are connected and the pins are inserted. First on the one hand,

and then on the other. We press them in completely with a screwdriver. We check that the curtain closes completely without touching the pins.

We hold the photodrum and put on the cover, tightening it with screws.

All that remains is to put on the spring. The arrow in the photo indicates its correct location. If the spring is installed incorrectly, it will touch the photodrum. Done, Q2612A cartridge is refilled.

To begin with, it should be said that refilling the HP q2612a cartridge must be done using the appropriate toner. The best option in this case is Katun powder. But before you refill the cartridge for the hp 1010, hp 1018, hp 1020, etc. printer. you should acquire the necessary set of tools. And first of all, you should have a Phillips screwdriver on hand; an electric screwdriver with an appropriate attachment will also work well.

Also prepare pliers or something similar, a funnel for toner, and a homemade tool such as an L-shaped ejector tool. To make it with your own hands, you just need to take a knitting needle or an awl, and then bend the end of one of these products at an angle, which can range from 40 to 90 degrees - everything in this case depends on the convenience of each person.

In general, the listed devices will be enough to refill the hp laserjet 1018 printer, but it is best to additionally prepare a service vacuum cleaner. The fact is that when you refill HP cartridges, you may spill a little toner, which must be collected immediately, because... he is . Of course, if you don’t have one, you can use a regular brush, soft rag or some other similar device. But keep in mind that when refilling the q2612a, do not use a household vacuum cleaner to collect the toner, otherwise you may damage it. And they are unlikely to be able to remove the toner - its microparticles will simply fly in a circle.

It should be emphasized that q2612a cartridges can be refilled many times without any difficulty. The fact is that they do not have a chip. Disassembly and assembly of such consumables to solve the problem of how to refill the q2612a cartridge is carried out without serious intervention in the design of the product. To refill the q2612a cartridge successfully, carefully read the instructions below.

Necessary tool

detailed instructions

To refill cartridges 12a, first remove the spring from it, which serves to fasten its two parts. To do this, use platypuses or regular tweezers. Be careful not to scratch the cartridge drum and not to “shoot” the spring, which otherwise will take a very long time to find.

At the next filling step 12a, you need to unscrew the two screws that are on the cover - they are used to secure the drum from the gear side.

Now carefully remove the cover and pull out the drum. In the latter case, you can rotate the drum left and right so that it doesn’t take you much time to complete this task.

Wipe the drum gently and gently. For this, use a special napkin or any soft, dry rag that is free of lint. After this, wrap this part in paper or put it in some dark place.

At the next stage of solving the problem of how to refill the HP q2612 cartridge, grab the primary charge shaft (), which is a rubber part located under the drum. Use platypuses for this. After this, wipe the shaft with a cloth moistened with water.

Now push out the two pins that hold both parts of the cartridge together. To solve this problem, use an L-shaped homemade product or the corner of a flat-head screwdriver. In general, you want to pull them out enough to be able to grab them from the outside with duckbills or pliers. This way, you can finally divide the printer consumables into two halves.

Now you need to deal with the half of the cartridge that contains the hopper with waste powder. Unscrew a couple of bolts that secure the blade (squeegee).

Pull out the blade using tweezers, taking them from the edge. Underneath it you will find waste toner, which you need to empty into the trash bin. If you have a brush, very carefully clean out any remaining toner from the hopper. After this, reassemble this half of the cartridge by installing the charge shaft back - if it is dry, of course.

Take the other half of the consumable and remove its cover, which is located on the other side of the gear.

Next you will see the lid of the container, which is intended for toner. Pour new powder through the hole, which is usually used to refill your printer. At the same time, be sure to hold the magnetic shaft - in the photo the right arrow indicates its end.

Seal the toner bottle with the cap and carefully attach the cap. Tighten the screw, after which you need to replace the charge shaft, if this has not been done before.

Connect both halves of the cartridge, insert the drum and put on the cover for its fastening, using two bolts for this. Also don't forget to put the spring back in place.

Refilling the HP LaserJet 1020 is not a replacement of the cartridge, but a replacement of the toner (powder) in the cartridge, therefore it is cheaper than purchasing a cartridge. Refueling is done only with departure. To create a request for refueling, simply click the "Refill" button.

In this material we will clearly analyze such a popular topic and find out how the Q2612A cartridge is refilled. This cartridge is widely used in many models of HP laser printers, for example HP1020, HP1018, HP1010, MFP 3820 and other models of printers and MFPs. This step-by-step instruction with photos will show you how to properly refill the Q2612A cartridge.

To refill the cartridge you will need the following tool:

1. Phillips screwdriver

2. Pliers (preferably thin)

3. An awl or something similar with a sharp tip.

4. Well, in fact, you need to have the toner itself to refill our cartridge

We have divided the entire refueling process into stages, according to which you must adhere and, together with us, perform the actions shown in the pictures.

1. You need to open the cover of your printer and remove from it the cartridge that we will refill.

2. After we have removed the cartridge from the printer, we need to carefully remove the contact spring. See picture.

3. After removing the contact spring on the Q2612A cartridge, we need to unscrew the 2 screws that secure the drum cover. To do this, follow the steps shown in the photo.

4. After unscrewing the screws that secure the drum cover, we need to remove it. Do all this as shown in the picture below.

5. After all this, carefully, holding the drum gear, remove it from our cartridge.

6. After this, we need to remove the charge transfer roller. Our awl will help us for this. Using it, we hook onto the roller itself and remove our charge transfer roller. Look as shown in the photo.

7. After all this, we need to pull out the 2 pins that hold the two halves of the cartridge together. (We need to divide it into 2 parts.). This moment is one of the most difficult when refueling our Q2612A. To divide the Q2612A cartridge into 2 parts, we need to carefully remove these pins. How to do this, look at the picture carefully and repeat everything as shown. Take an awl and push out the pins securing the 2 parts of the cartridge.

8. We perform the same operation on the other side.

9. After these pushing operations, the pins should come out, after which they must be carefully removed from both sides.

10. That's it, now our cartridge is divided into 2 parts. The Q2612A cartridge has been disassembled and is ready for refilling. We also recommend cleaning it from waste. In order to clean the Q2612A cartridge from waste, you need to unscrew the 2 screws that secure the curtain and shake out the toner.

11. Our next step is to refill the Q2612A cartridge. To do this, take the other half of the cartridge, where the magnetic shaft is located, and unscrew the lid, gently rocking it and holding it with your hands.

12. After this we will see a plug through which we need to refill our cartridge. To do this, carefully remove it, and at the same time hold the magnetic shaft of our cartridge.

13. After everything has been done, we will see a hopper available for refilling our cartridge. We carefully pour our toner into this hopper, and do not forget to hold the magnetic shaft so that our toner does not spill out. After all this, close our lid back and now our cartridge is ready for use. Do not forget to wipe the toner on the cartridge itself after refilling.

Here, using a clear example, with photos and pictures, we examined in detail how you can refill the Q2612A cartridge with your own hands. In fact, the procedure is not complicated and almost anyone can do it.
