A smartphone called Galaxy Ace, which is designed to return the company leadership in the average price segment to return the competitors. The name - ACE - probably selected not by chance, it is such a trump ace that the company pulled out of the sleeve at the crucial moment. As in the case of Galaxy Spica, the key point is the combination of price and technical characteristics, but at the same time the company approached the creation of the phone quite carefully, so as not to damage sales of senior models.

It is worth noting that recently Samsung began to withdraw from his phones a separate camera button: it was absent in Galaxy S, there is no it in Galaxy Ace. In my opinion, it is unforgivable because it makes the photography with the help of the phone as uncomfortable as possible.

Screen

The Galaxy Ace uses a 3.5-inch TFT-screen with a capacitive touch surface having a resolution of 320x480 points. The screen is bright and contrast, the viewing angles can be called satisfactory, but no more. In my opinion, the quality of the Galaxy ACE screen is somewhat inferior to the same Optimus One. Initially, I had information that the Galaxy Ace would be built on the basis of the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7230 chipset (Processor SCORPION core with a frequency of 800 MHz and the Adreno 205 graphics processor). Unfortunately, this information was not confirmed, the "budget" solution of Qualcomm MSM7227 with Adreno 200 graphics is used in the smartphone, but the processor core is dispersed to 800 MHz. In HTC Gratia and Samsung Galaxy Mini smartphones, the same processor is used on the "native" frequency of 600 MHz.

Despite the budget chipset, the phone showed well in Benchmarks Quadrant and Neocore. Another 9 months ago, such productivity was available only to buyers of top Android smartphones, and today it is already a lot of solutions of the middle class.
