In professional terms, the Alfa-Direct terminal is the client part of the information and trading system, through which you interact with the exchange in real time via the Internet. In other words, the Alfa-Direct program is your window into the world of exchange trading, as well as a powerful tool that will help you make decisions and immediately implement them.

Attention! If an error message appears when connecting to the server, re-enter the username and password, after checking the case and keyboard layout.

Now you can start making trades. However, before you press the button that submits your application for trading, you need to comprehensively study the current situation around the instrument you are interested in, as well as find out the general situation in the markets, in the country and in the world.

Calling the quotes window

Alfa-Direct quotes window is one of the most important indicators of the current state of the stock market. This window displays not only the latest data for each of the selected financial instruments, but also other information characterizing the dynamics of the current trading session on the selected trading platform.

To display the quotes window, follow these steps.

Choose a team Quotes on the menu Information or click the "Quotes" button on the toolbar. A window of quotes for financial instruments displayed by default will appear (in the current version of the program, these are listed shares on the MICEX, see figure).

If the window that appears does not contain the instruments you are interested in, or you want to change the data fields displayed, you will have to customize the quotes window.

Tool selection

To customize the quotes window, follow these steps.

Right-click the data area of the quotes window and select the command from the context menu that appears. Tune.

A dialog box will appear Window setting tab open Filter.

Click the button in the field Filter to select the required tools.

The Select Financial Instruments dialog box appears.

In field Available groups of available tools are displayed. In field Selected groups of selected instruments are displayed (by default, this is “Listed shares on the MICEX (A1 level)”).

Click the icon to the left of the name of the group of instruments, for example "Listed shares on the MICEX (level A2)". A list of instrument code names will appear below the instrument group name.

Select the desired tool (for example, AFLT1) by double-clicking on its code name. The tool will move out of the list Available to the list The Chosen Ones at the same time in the list Selected the name of the corresponding group of instruments "Listed shares on MICEX (level A2)" will appear, containing the code name of the selected instrument (in this case, AFLT1).

Advice. To select a tool or an entire group of tools, select the corresponding names in the field Available and then click the button. To select all available tool groups, click the button.

Click the icon to the left of the name of the group of instruments, "Listed shares on the MICEX (Level A1)". A list of instrument code names will appear below the instrument group name.

Remove an instrument from the list (eg IRGZ3) by double-clicking its code name. In field Available the name of the group of instruments "Listed shares on MICEX (level A1)" will appear, containing the code name of the selected instrument (in our case, IRGZ3).

Advice. To remove a tool or an entire group of tools from the field, select the corresponding names in the field Selected and then click the button. To remove all existing instrument groups from the field, click the button.

Repeat steps 4 to 7 to select the tools you want and remove the ones you don't, and then press the button OK to return to the dialog Window setting.

In field display click the icon to the right of those fields that you do not want to display in the window Quotes, and an icon to the right of the fields to display in the window Quotes.

Click the button OK to close the dialog Window setting.

Note. In the quotes window, the symbol line is highlighted in red by default if the price of the last deal was less than the price of the penultimate one, and in green if the price of the last deal was greater than or equal to the price of the penultimate one.

Now you can start viewing the queue of orders for the purchase and sale of the desired instrument. To do this, you need to display the request queue window.

Application queue

Queue of orders (or quotes of the second level) is an ordered sequence of unfilled orders registered in a given trading system. In the buy queue, the order with the highest price is the first, followed by the order with the lowest price, and then in descending order of price. In the sell queue, the order with the lowest price is the first, followed by the one with the highest price, and then in ascending order of price. If prices are equal in bids of the same direction, the bid submitted earlier has priority. There is no queue before the start of the auction. The order queue is an important indicator of the current state of the price of a financial instrument - as existing orders are satisfied and new orders are received, the values in the order queue window change, determining the current price movement direction.

To display the queue of orders for any instrument, do the following.

In the window Quotes double-click the line corresponding to the desired tool.

A window of buy and sell orders for this instrument will appear. The title of the order queue window displays the code name of the selected financial instrument.

By default, this window displays the top 10 buy orders and the top 10 sell orders.

Advice. To reduce the number of tickets displayed, simply reduce the size of this window.

Note. Values in columns To purchase And For sale correspond to the number of lots of securities. Information on how many securities correspond to one lot for this instrument is contained in the window FinancialInstruments(command ).

However, viewing only quotes does not give a complete picture of the dynamics of the instrument's price, and even more so, of its possible behavior in the future. To do this, there are charts and technical analysis tools. Their use is described in the "Graphing" section.

Plotting

As you know, graphs are one of the main ways to visually represent numerical data. Alfa-Direct allows you to use several types of graphs and their combinations to represent data.

Candle Lines Histograms.

To build a graph, follow these steps.

In the window Quotes right-click the line corresponding to the desired financial instrument (for example, EESR2), and then select the command Schedule in the context menu. A window will appear containing 1-minute charts of the price and volume of the selected instrument for the current and several previous days

Right-click the graph, and then select the commands you want from the context menu that appears.

Instruments- adding\removing tool charts from the current window, changing the color, style and inner window for display, as well as selecting the appropriate axes

Indicators- adding, deleting and changing indicator parameters

line drawing- drawing lines on the chart

Display properties - change the background and border colors of the window

Window Rename\Delete\Create - the corresponding operation on the current inner window

Increase decrease - changing the scale of the chart

Period- changing the period, periodicity and interval of charts in the current window

Information- enable / disable the "tracking" mode for the mouse pointer. In this case, the relevant information is displayed (or not displayed) in the status bar at the bottom of the chart window.

Update from server- request to update information on all instruments in the current for the specified period

Status bar- show\hide status bar

Seal- printing of the graph in the selected window with pre-setting of printing parameters.

Advice. To zoom in on any part of the graph, click the button (enable magnification) in the lower right corner of the graph window, place the mouse pointer on one boundary of the proposed area, press the left mouse button and, without releasing it, move the pointer to the other boundary of the area. Release the button and the selected area will be enlarged to the size of the chart window. To return to the normal scale, click the (align) button in the lower right corner of the window.

Now that you have complete information about the dynamics of the price of an instrument, it would be nice to know what is going on behind the walls of the room where you work. And this is not a manifestation of idle curiosity, but reasonable foresight, since every minute events occur in the world that can cause both an increase in quotations and their fall. So just open the news window.

Displaying the news window

The Alfa-Direct program provides its users with the opportunity to keep abreast of all political and economic events taking place both within the country and abroad. Without leaving the program, you get access to news from leading news agencies.

Follow the steps below to display the news window.

Choose a team news on the menu Information or click the News button on the toolbar. The news window will appear.

To participate in a discussion, follow these steps:

Another window will appear Communication Center, in the title of which the alias of the discussion participant you selected will be displayed, and containing only those messages that are either addressed to him or sent by him.

Now, looking at the numbers, letters and lines, it remains to wait for a favorable moment to make a deal. As soon as it arrives, you should submit an application, for example, for the purchase of securities, as described in the next section “Applying”.

Advice. To delete your message, right-click on this message and select the item in the context menu Delete message

Applying

Listed Briefcase select your portfolio number, which will take into account the current application.

In field Quantity enter the value of the number of securities in pieces.

Note. The number of securities in the order must be a multiple of the lot size set for this security.

Note. The lot size for this instrument can be viewed in the "Financial Instruments" table (menu Information\References\Tools)

Click the button Buy or Sell. A dialog box will appear.

Note. Please note that the background of the confirmation window for a buy order is green, for a sell order the background color of this window will be red.

As soon as the application is satisfied, the corresponding line in the application window will change.

If necessary, repeat the steps for other applications, and then click the button close to close the dialog box Filing an application.

Note. With the Alfa-Direct program, you can submit stop orders, as well as set various conditions for the execution of orders.

However, the situation is not ruled out when, after you submit an application, you suddenly need to withdraw it. How to do this is described in the "Withdrawal of an application" section.

Cancellation of the application

If for any reason you need to withdraw a submitted application, please follow the steps below.

Choose a team Applications on the menu portfolios or click the "Applications" button on the toolbar. The application window will appear.

Check the data listed in the dialog box and click the button Subscribe to “sign” your instruction to withdraw an order with an electronic digital signature and send it via the Alfa-Direct server to the trading system.

Note. If the EDS secret key is not currently loaded into the computer's memory, then after pressing the button Subscribe A dialog box will appear asking you to insert a floppy disk with a private EDS key into the drive.

If your application is not yet satisfied, then after a few seconds you will receive the following message.

Click the button close. In the order window, the line corresponding to the deleted order will change.

Note. With the Alfa-Direct program, you can cancel several applications or even all submitted applications at the same time. For information on how to do this, see the "Closing an Order" section in the "Performing Operations" chapter in the user manual or help system.

However, suppose that you did make a purchase of securities and invested all the money from your account in them. And suddenly a good opportunity turned up to “play” on other papers, but, alas, you no longer have money. But do not be upset, because the Alfa-Direct program is not only a tool for applying, but also a tool that allows you to instantly get a loan. How to do this is described in the section “Lending with money and securities”.

Lending with money and securities

When playing on the stock exchange, it is very important to be able to quickly get a loan - money for bullish or securities for bearish, or, as traders say, to open long or short positions. If you have opened a margin account, that is, an account on which a margin loan can be provided, then with the help of the Alfa-Direct program you can easily take advantage of this opportunity. Moreover, for this you do not need to take any additional actions - you, as usual, submit an application for the purchase or sale of securities. Only now, when making a transaction, you pay not with your money or securities, but with those that you borrowed. In general, you can expect to receive an instant cash loan in the amount of 100% of the current market value of your own assets - money and / or securities, and to receive securities on credit with a total value of approximately 66% of the current market value of your own assets. For example, if you have 3,000 rubles of money in your brokerage account and 7,000 rubles of liquid securities, then you can get a margin loan of up to 10,000 rubles and a securities loan of 6,666 rubles. Moreover, if you return the loan taken before the end of the current trading session, then you pay nothing for its use.

Note. A margin order for the sale of any security is accepted only if this security is included in the list of "marginable" securities, the current state of which can be seen in the window FinancialInstruments(command Information | Reference | Instruments). Liquid securities are securities, the estimated value of which is taken into account as part of assets (collateral) when calculating the indicators of the current liability margin and initial margin, as provided in the Margin Agreement. A list of such securities can also be seen in the window FinancialInstruments(command Information | Reference | Instruments).

To find out how much money you can get in the form of a margin loan, follow these steps.

Press the F2 key or the "Apply" button on the toolbar. A dialog box will appear Filing an application.

Listed Market select the name of the trading platform where you plan to make a deal.

Listed Tool Select the code name of the security you want to buy or sell for margin credit.

Listed Briefcase select the number of your portfolio in which the future trade will be taken into account.

Press L button buy imitations or L imitations for sale. A message box will appear with information about the number of securities you can buy or sell with (and without) margin credit.

Note. If your portfolio already contains open positions for this financial instrument, then the amount of margin credit provided for buying may differ from the amount of margin credit for selling. You should also keep in mind that when market conditions change, the amount of your assets and, as a result, the amount of margin credit may change during the trading session.

Note. With the help of the Alfa-Direct program, you can also get a cash loan or borrow securities for a longer period.

If you are lucky and the securities bought on credit increase in price, then you can sell them profitably. The difference between the amount received from the sale of these securities and the amount borrowed to buy them will be your profit. This money will appear on your portfolio immediately after the sale of securities.

Reports

When making exchange transactions, transfers of money and securities, the client does not have to remember them at all, since at any time he can quickly receive a complete report on his activities. In the Alfa-Direct system, all operations carried out with a client's account - the purchase or sale of securities, depositary or money transfers - are recorded in the server database.

To get a complete account of all transactions made in all markets on your account since its opening, follow the steps below.

Choose a team Reports on the menu Service. The Report Wizard window appears.

Select the required from the list Type of report and required parameters, set Reporting period and press the button Generate a report. The “Broker report on the results of the Client’s operations” will appear in the Report Wizard window.

change Password

Using the Internet to access electronic trading has a number of obvious advantages, such as speed, accessibility, low cost. However, one should not forget that the Internet is a public computer network, access to which is open to everyone, including persons with criminal intent. To prevent unauthorized access, you can enter the Alfa-Direct system only by entering a username and password. The user name (or personal identification code (PIC)) the user receives when registering as a user of the Alfa-Direct program. As for the password, the user must come up with it himself. For security reasons, users are advised to change their password periodically.

To change your password, follow these steps.

Choose a team Administration on the menu Service. A window with the Questionnaire of a registered user of the Alfa-Direct system will appear on the screen.

Enter a new password in the fields New password And Confirm new password and press the button Change.

Note. When entering a password, observe the following requirements:

the password can consist of any combination of Latin letters, numbers, spaces and symbols from the first half of the code table;

password length must be at least 6 characters (maximum password length is 20 characters);

The password must contain numbers, lowercase and uppercase Latin letters.

A message will appear stating that the new password has been successfully changed.

Attention! Your password is known only to you. If you forget your password, then it will not be possible to recover it. Therefore, after changing the password, write down the new password and keep it in a safe place.

When Alfa-Direct is launched, a special service window opens - the Main Panel, where the Main Menu button and a set of tabs are located. This window is usually displayed at the top of the screen.

The Main Panel also displays the status of Alfa-Direct's connection to the Bank's servers, the Bank's current time, and a message indicator.

Closing the Main Panel closes Alpha Direct, while minimizing closes Alpha Direct temporary windows and minimizes all other windows.

Alfa-Direct does not have a main window limiting the positions of other windows. Alfa-Direct windows can be placed anywhere on the screen, but in such a way that the window is completely on the monitor screen (or on monitor screens). At the same time, the Alfa-Direct application appears as a single window in the Windows taskbar.

To open a new window, click the Main Menu item New Window and select one of its sub-items.

Alfa-Direct windows are grouped into tabs. The list of tabs is displayed on the Main panel, the active tab is marked with a background color. Inactive tab windows are not displayed on the screen. For each type of data window there is a special dialog form of settings.

When closing, Alfa-Direct automatically (without confirmation from the user) saves all settings made by the user, in particular, tabs, windows opened on them, their sizes and locations. At the next start, these settings are restored, and the user continues to work with them in Alfa-Direct.

The set of saved settings is called a configuration.

The Alfa-Direct distribution package includes several configurations that become available to the user for use after installation. One of these configurations, the default configuration, is applied when Alfa-Direct is launched for the first time.

    Trading operations

In order to make a trade operation in Alfa-Direct, the user forms a trade order from the Alfa-Direct Terminal and sends it to the Broker. Having received a Trade Order, the Broker creates one or several (depending on the order type) orders according to it. These orders are displayed to the user in the Terminal; for unfulfilled orders of some types, the user has the opportunity to adjust the price.

Having created an order, the Broker either puts it on the exchange (i.e., forms exchange orders and sends them to the exchange), or waits for the conditions specified by the user in the order to occur, and only then places the order on the exchange.

For the formation of a trade request and its sending, the Trade request form and trading panels are used, which are equipped with some data windows of the Alfa-Direct Terminal.

How to make trades through the "Trading order" form

The Trade Order form allows you to generate and send to the Broker the widest range of trade orders of various types.

Purpose: open the Trade Order form

Actions: go to any data window and press the F2 key.

Result: Alfa-Direct will create a form window and set the instrument and/or subaccount in it, if these parameters can be unambiguously determined from the data window. For example, if you select a line in the quotes window and press the F2 key, Alfa-Direct will set the instrument from the selected line in the Trade Order form.

The form window opens in the so-called modal mode, i.e. while the window is open, access to other windows is blocked. To exit this mode, click the button located in the upper left corner of the window on its title bar. The window can then be linked to other windows.

    The form has 3 tabs:

q Standard - for the formation of simple orders, according to which the Broker creates limit or market orders and immediately puts them on the exchange.

q Standard+ - for the formation of orders of more complex types.

q Text - represents the text description of the formed order compiled by Alfa-Direct.

Purpose: Send an order to buy at the market price.

    Actions:

Go to the Standard tab. If necessary, in the Subaccount field, set a subaccount to refer to the order that will be created by the Broker when processing the order.

Install the tool using one of the following methods

q In the Issue drop-down list, select the ticker of the instrument (if it exists), and if necessary, change the market in the Market drop-down list (the same financial instrument can be traded on the stock exchange in several markets)

q If there is no instrument ticker in the drop-down list, then click the button with the magnifying glass icon located to the right of the drop-down list. Alpha Direct will open the tool search form. Find the tool in it and press the button in its line in the Select column. Alfa-Direct will install the selected instrument in the form of a trade request.

Click the button located to the right of the Price field, and in the price selection menu that appears, click the MKT (by market) item. After that, the Price field will become blocked from entering.

In the Quantity field, enter the quantity of the purchased tool in pieces.

Choose a direction. To generate a buy order, click the Buy button; to generate a sell order, click the Sell button. Note that changing direction changes the background of the Buy, Sell, and Send buttons.

    Click Submit.

Result: Alfa-Direct Terminal sent the generated order to the Broker. Having received an order, the Broker will create a market order and put it on the exchange.

Purpose: Send a buy limit order

    Actions:

    A buy limit order is formed in the same way as a market order, except for filling in the Price field. For the Broker to place a limit order on the exchange, enter the price in the Price field..gif" alt="(!LANG:D:\CW\UserGuide\Icons\Zoom.png"> (увеличить на 1 шаг) и (уменьшить на 1 шаг).!}

    Click Submit.

Result: Alfa-Direct Terminal will send the generated order to the Broker. Having received an order, the Broker will create a market order and put it on the exchange.

More complex orders must be generated and sent on the Standard+ tab.

Consider the formation of a stop-limit order. This order is executed by the Broker as follows. The broker creates a conditional order, but does not immediately place it on the exchange, but starts tracking the current price of the instrument (i.e., the price of the last transaction). As soon as the current price is worse than the stop price specified in the order (i.e. more for a buy order and less for a sell order), the Broker places a limit order of the corresponding direction on the exchange at a price that is worse than the stop price by the amount of the breakthrough specified in the order.

    Actions:

    Go to the Standard+ tab.

Set sub-count, instrument, quantity and direction.

In the Type drop-down list, set the Stop Limit order type. Alfa-Direct will change the set of displayed fields so that the user can enter the parameters of the stop limit order.

Specify the value of the stop price in the Price SL (stop loss) field. To do this, either enter the price value from the keyboard, or press the button and in the menu that appears, select the percentage by which the stop price will exceed the current price.

Enter the breakout amount in the Breakthrough (max.) field in price steps.

To check the generated order, go to the Text tab and read its text description generated by the Terminal.

    Click Submit.
