Baidu is a Chinese antivirus and that says it all. The program was developed by the creators of the largest search engine after Google. The application is distributed in the form of a malicious program, installed on a computer in the background (silent installation) without notifying the user, and after starting it constantly monitors active processes, slowing down the computer and conflicting with the installed antivirus. Many Windows users, having fallen victim to such an "antivirus", are looking for ways to remove Baidu. Today we will do this.
In general, the procedure for uninstalling Baidu is not much different from uninstalling other products, in addition to the absence of the uninstall.exe file in the directory with the program and its interface in Chinese, which complicates even such a simple task as clicking the "Yes" or "Ok" button.
- Finishing all Baidu-related Windows processes.
To perform this action, launch the task manager. It is invoked using the "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" keyboard shortcut or the context menu in the Windows taskbar.

An easier way to do this is to use the Process Explorer utility. In it, select the main process named Baidu, press Shift + Del and confirm the completion of the process tree.

To uninstall the application, open the "Control Panel" and go to "Programs and Features" - the application responsible for removing any Windows components.
We go down to the bottom of the list of applications installed in Windows and find the "antivirus", focusing on its blue icon and the name containing hieroglyphs.
We call the context menu of the element, which is Baidu, and select the only item in the drop-down menu "Delete / Change".
After the appearance of a yellow window with a white sun inside, click on the white button located to the right (as in the screenshot).
This will launch Baidu's uninstaller on your computer. In order to remove this garbage, in the next window we also press the white button, launching the uninstallation of the antivirus from the computer.
We confirm our intentions to rid Windows of applications by clicking on the same white "Delete" button.
After that, the last dialog box will appear, where we simply press a single button, an analogue of the classic "OK". You do not need to leave any checkboxes.
- We are removing the second program, which is installed with Baidu.
We launch the Windows Control Panel element called "Programs and Features" and, as with the removal of Baidu, we call the only context menu item of the remaining program with a green icon.
In the window that appears with a green heading, we also click the button located to the left, which allows you to remove Baidu.
This will immediately remove the remaining program from the Windows computer. We wait until the process completes.
In the last window, also click on the single button.

Again, we launch the "Task Manager" by any method and try to complete the process remaining after Baidy. It is usually protected and the operation will fail.
We reboot the computer in safe mode by pressing the F8 key and selecting the appropriate item in the menu that appears after loading the BIOS.
We go into the “Program Files” and “Program Files (x86)” directories one by one, we find the directories whose name begins with the phrase “Baidu” and delete them from the computer, preferably by means of the “Shift + Delete” combination, bypassing the basket.
After that, you can use the functionality of the CCleaner program or something similar. This utility will scan your computer for the remains of an unsafe application and will quickly remove them both from the disk and from the Windows registry.

Not all Chinese antiviruses are created equal. Don't believe me? In vain! This fact has been proven more than once or twice by user experience. Disable services and processes
1. Reboot your PC in safe mode:
- during the restart, hold down "F8";

2. Disable services that use antivirus:
- open the "Control Panel";
- in the "View" setting, set "Large icons";
- go to "Administration";
- double-click the left button on the "Services" shortcut;
- disable the services used by the antivirus (they are not difficult to identify by name): 2 times click on the service → select the "Disabled" setting in the "Startup type" option.
3. End the "baida" processes:
- press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc";
- open the "Processes" tab in the manager window;
- disable active files of the antivirus BaiduProtect, bddownloader: right-click on the name → End processes.
Note. Baidu's processes may have other names as well. Their characteristic feature is the presence of hieroglyphs in the description (see the corresponding column in the object field).
Cleanup startup
The autoload setting can be performed both with the standard system tools and with the help of special utilities. Let's analyze each of the options for solving the problem separately.

1. Click "Start" and type in the line - msconfig, and then press "Enter".
3. Disable baidusdTray and other elements in the startup that have the name of the antivirus in their names:

Registry check
1. Press "Win + R".
2. Type regedit in the Run box, click OK.

Open it with a double click and click the "Stop" button. If you don't have any Baidu-related services, just exit here.
2. We complete the Baidu processes. We call "Windows Task Manager". To do this, you can right-click at the bottom of the screen on the taskbar and select "Start Task Manager":

You can right-click each process in turn and select “ Open file storage location”. After that, a window will open, in the top line of which you can see the full path to this file. But memorizing this path is not necessary.
Right click on each of these Chinese processes and select “ End the process”. The system will ask you if you really want to end it - press the “End process” button again.
It is possible that not all Baidu processes can be completed. A window may appear: “The operation could not be completed. Access denied". It's okay - just skip it:
3. Remove Baidu from startup. To do this, you can use the standard Windows tool ("Start" - "Run" - msconfig- "Startup"), but I suggest using the utility CCleaner.
Launch CCleaner(if you don't have it, you can download it) - select the “” tab on the left. In the window that opens, we find the program in which the word “ baidu”. We click on it with the right mouse button and select “Delete” - “OK”. There may be several of them here. It is not a fact that they can all be removed.
4. Remove Baidu using the standard Windows uninstaller. Go to "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Programs and Features" ("Add or Remove Programs" in Windows XP).
Here we organize programs by installation date(to do this, click on the "Installed" column). Those. at the very top, those programs that have been installed recently will be displayed. In my case, the Chinese programs turned out to be on top:

We are trying to remove these programs from the computer: select the first one and press the “Remove” button. The following window will open in which we click on the highlighted hieroglyph:
