S Voice what is this Android app? S Voice what is this program.

Hello!
If you're a Samsung user, you're probably familiar with the S Voice app. For those who do not know what it is, I will explain - this is the Samsung analogue of OK Google, Siri or Cortana. You can also talk to him a little.

I (and not only me alone) find it not very convenient when this program (for seemingly incomprehensible reasons) suddenly starts for no reason at all. In fact, there is such a reason. This is a double tap on the Home button. I myself very often caused this miracle by accidental pressing, until I decided that it was time to turn it off. For those who do not know how to do this, I share the recipe.
For example, I use Samsung Galaxy S4 with Android Lollipop.
So, we launch the application, go to its settings. Here we immediately see the menu item “Open with the Home key”. We uncheck the box next to it, we leave from here.

Everything, now the program can be launched only through applications, and the “Home” button will be used for its intended purpose.

Launching S Voice through apps

Galaxy S5, Note 3 and some other gadgets allow you to receive weather forecasts, find out the exact time or results of sports competitions, make appointments, write SMS, retrieve contact information and call, and much more. However, not every user is ready to use this feature, preferring Google Now or Google Play. Note that in this case, the S Voice application begins to interfere with the owner of the device, as it slows down the work of other applications that they have chosen for themselves.

How to disable S Voice or uninstall?

I must say that for the complete removal of S Voice would be needed, and this complicates matters. However, the resources of the smartphone are wasted if the named function is not disabled. Those who have know that the "Home" button allows you to go to the named application (for this purpose, you need to press it twice). If the owner just wants to get to the home screen, then after a single click on the mentioned button, he is forced to wait until the system orients itself. The user does not need such a pause, since everything can be brought to automatism.

We offer the following way to solve the problem and disable S Voice on Samsung: first open S Voice with a double tap, and after this download you should find the "settings" (they are in the "Menu" indicated in the upper right corner). Here you can see that the item "Open via the home key" is marked with a checkbox (tick). This mark must be removed, and then the S Voice application that the user does not need will turn off. In any device equipped with the S Voice option, you can turn it off in this way.

Galaxy smartphone owners may wonder s voice what is this program on my phone? They have no idea how cool this feature is. This is a built-in voice assistant. Analogue of Siri on Ios, OK Google voice search on other android devices. What is useful in the S Voice program and how you can use it.

To launch the program, you need to double-click the "Home" button, and say a question or command. If you launched S Voice for the first time, then you need to agree to the terms of use with a few clicks of the button below. After that, you will be able to give orders to the application. Depending on the commands used, S Voice can set an alarm, send SMS, tell you about the weather, and much more. An extensive list of commands can be found below.

It is worth noting that you can start the voice assistant without pressing buttons, but with a special voice command that you can record in the application settings. Then, when the screen is off, you say the key phrase and the assistant will instantly wake up to listen to you.

If you ask a question that S Voice does not understand, then the program will offer to search for the answer on the Internet, that is, it will show the search results for your phrase in the browser.

So we got acquainted with S Voice and understood what kind of program it was. It should be noted that the application requires the Internet to work, otherwise you will hear in response to your commands only "There is no network connection, please try to connect to the network and try again."

If in the process of communicating with the program you find cool questions, send them to me through the comments. And maybe your friends with Galaxy smartphones will be interested to know about this information, so repost is welcome.

Hello guys Let's talk today about the S Voice program, which is designed only for Samsung phones. Well, what does this program do, you probably think .. well, I will answer, everything is simple here, S Voice acts as a voice assistant. Well, the first thing that came to my mind was Okay Google, although these are probably a little different things after all

So what can S Voice do? The possibilities are interesting, but I’ll get ahead of myself and say that there are probably disadvantages in this application! Well, in the sense that there is no life without jambs, I don’t know why, but in every application that IN THEORY COULD BE VERY USEFUL, then it has jambs such that in the end you just don’t want to use the application! Sorry guys, a bit off topic, just my thoughts!

WELL SO, what can S Voice do? But what, it can call and send SMS, if this is all the program really knows how to do without jambs, then honor and praise to her! Also, S Voice can recognize the weather, commendable too! S Voice can determine where you are now, here you probably need to have a GPS module in your phone. It can get directions, well, yes, but Google Maps or Yandex Maps also do a great job with this. There is a built-in alarm clock, there seems to be nothing special here. You can add notes and reminders to your calendar. You can also turn Wi-Fi on or off .. Well, and much more, something necessary, and something superfluous, well, it seems to me ...

Russian language is present in S Voice, it's good

Basically things like that. You can play with S Voice, can this application be useful in practice? I do not know…

But after reading about S Voice on the Internet, I came to the conclusion that not everyone likes this program, well, some users are wondering how to turn it off? Well, if you are interested in this, then I will now answer this question. I hope my solution, if anything, will help you. In short, we launch S Voice, then we go to the settings, and here there will be an item Open with the Home key, we remove the checkmark from this item:

Well, what have we done with it? Now the Home button will perform its intended purpose and the S Voice program will not be launched by this button. There is another option to turn off: select Applications and find the S Voice App there and turn it off. Well, or turn it off through the manager

By the way, Windows 10 also has an assistant, but I think it will be cooler, you might even know him, this is the Cortana assistant. Looks like a female helper.

Here's how S Voice knows the weather:

Hmm, I didn’t know about this, but there is one very interesting feature of the S Voice application, in short, you can give commands to your smartphone even when it is ... OFF, wow! However, not all models support such an innovative feature! That is, from your voice, the phone can turn on! Didn't I mess up anything? Yes, apparently not! Look, go to the S Voice settings, there is an item Turn on by voice, move the slider to the right and then click Yes:

But check that the Wakeup command checkbox is also checked. Then, to send a command, you need to call S Voice, for this, say the wake-up phrase, by default it is: Hello Galaxy. After this phrase, the S Voice application will open and everything will be ready to receive your command

Here I found a picture, it says Welcome, well, this is a type of greeting:

After the greeting, a tutorial will be offered, you can skip it, or you can learn how to use S Voice by watching a short lesson:

Then there will be such infa, it says here that you need to press the microphone and say a phrase (look for a cow smiled).

Today we will touch on the beautiful and wonderful - the voice assistant. This is the feature that many manufacturers believe should change the world and take the user experience to a whole new level. Since we have not done a review of S-Voice, Samsung's signature assistant, it's time to review!

S-Voice is a voice assistant or assistant, as you prefer, which Samsung introduced along with the third version of its flagship and the new version of TouchWiz Nature UX. Since the presentation itself, I have not ceased to rejoice that the leading manufacturers have begun to pay more attention not to hardware, but to software, and the subject of today's review confirms this. In a nutshell, S-Voice is a lady in your smartphone (only if your smartphone is a Samsung Galaxy S 3) that will at least try to answer all your questions and complete the tasks assigned to it.

Surely, they are working on the technology, since my English remained clumsy, but S-Voice now does not shut me up, almost always understands the first time, and this, of course, is good. Let's start from the very beginning - from the first launch. First, you will be told that the smartphone can perform various tasks with the help of voice. Further, a series of instructions, in general, we geeks skip all this.

You can activate the assistant at any time by saying hello. The default is "Hi Galaxy", but you can easily change it to "Hi Borodach", "Hi Aladin" or whatever you want.

If we compare the call of the voice assistant in SGS3 and in the iPhone, then here it is more logical - you need to press the mechanical Home key twice. A long press brings up a menu of running applications. On the iPhone, the opposite is true, and this is not correct, since you have to use this menu more often, so it would be logical to hang a single long tap on it.

In childhood, S-Voice was not the smartest in the class, but now she has grown up and has become much more intelligent and educated. Having at least some English, you can already ask S-Voice any questions on a general educational topic. Moreover, I asked absolutely any interesting questions, starting from presidents, ending with the conversion of values. If S-Voice has something to say, in addition to two or three words, the "More" button will appear under the answer.

But, of course, we are most interested in the basic functionality of S-Voice as a voice assistant. You can check the weather anywhere in the world at any time, you can use your voice to turn on and off all kinds of phone functions, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. By the way, I could not get Siri to turn on Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. You can tweet something with your voice, set a timer or alarm, make an appointment on your calendar. I was very pleased with the opportunity to build a route and turn on turn-by-turn navigation, for this you just need to ask to take you somewhere. You can also add notes and much more.

At the moment, the Russian language is not supported, but it should appear. S-Voice is not the only cool thing in SGS3 related to voice. Like any other device on Android 4, there is a "stenographer" (somehow we nicknamed her).

In any place where you need to enter text, you can press the microphone and just pour out your soul (read - copy the hut to the cat), she will understand everything and write it down on paper.

Final revision

Probably the biggest drawback is the inability to work with the voice assistant offline. At least GPRS, but needed. And I also wonder wildly what will happen with the update of SGS3 to Android 4.1, because there is a pretty good helper in the form of Google Search. Will they be left to live next to each other, or will the GS functionality be merged with S-Voice?

I will no longer compare S-Voice with similar solutions in some other devices, since these features are exclusive and you will not be able to put any of them on another device. S-Voice was even torn out of the firmware and made publicly available, but the assistant simply does not want to work on other devices. But what you can install are similar solutions from the market like Iris, Assistant, Jeannie and others. Having used, at one time, each assistant, I can say with confidence: if you have SGS3, it’s better not to look for an alternative to S-Voice, all third-party solutions are somewhat simpler. But I will put an end to this statement when S-Voice learns Russian.
