Step 1. Create a new document in Photoshop: File menu / New, or Ctrl + N, set the size to 640x480 pixels and OK. The background color is black.

Step2. We choose Type tool on the toolbar and paste the text you want. The author chose the word GOLD. Font "Times New Roman Bold". If the text size does not suit you - edit using the menu Free transform or Ctrl + T.

Step3. Duplicate the GOLD text layer using the context menu or combination Ctrl + J... Next, we will work with a copy of the layer. GOLD copy.

Step4. Add a golden gradient for the text. In the Layers window ( Layers palette) there is a useful button in Photoshop Layer Styles(Layer style):

Step5. The gradient you create should simulate the overflow of gold, so there should be a transition from light gold to rich gold. In the gradient editor window, set the color of the left marker as in the picture - R: 247, G: 238, B: 173, which corresponds to a light gold color (# f7eead).

For the right marker, similarly set R: 193, G: 172, B: 81 (# c1ac51). Then click OK, close the editor window.

Step6. The text should be three-dimensional, for which we use other layer effects. In the style editor window, set the following parameters for Bevel and Emboss (Embossing)

Gloss Contour on "Ring Double"

and select the Anti-Aliased option.

Set the size to 16 pixels and the Depth to 171%:

The letters are now gold.

To enhance the effect, you can add a Contour.

Step7. Let's continue working with the style editor dialog box. Selecting Inner Glow

and set the following parameters: change the color to orange (R: 232, G: 128, B: 31),

This completes the work with the duplicate text layer.

Step8. Let's continue working with the original text layer. Click on this layer in the layers palette to make it active.

Click on Layer Styles to start working with the styles for this layer.

Select Stroke (Stroke) and set such parameters for it

Set up a gradient for the stroke. To do this, open the gradient editor and for the left marker set the color R: 247, G: 238, B: 173 for the right marker - R: 193, G: 172, B: 81. OK.
Step9. Now you need to adjust the Bevel and Emboss (Embossing) for the Stroke (Stroke).
To do this, in the style settings dialog box, you need to select Stroke Emboss and configure other parameters as in the figure:

The result should be like this.

Step10. Now you can add in the dialog box style settings Outer Glow (Outer glow), color R: 183, G: 145, G: 79.
Step11. Now let's make the text sparkling and shining. To do this, add a new Sparkles layer. This layer should be above all layers. Use a brush similar to X, which we will choose from the Assorted Brushes in Adobe Photoshop.

Let's choose the lightest color for painting that is in the image. In some places add some sparkles, sparkling highlights in the Sparkles layer. Make the layer semi-transparent and enjoy the result.

The graphic editor has ample opportunities for text design; you can make inscriptions with various effects. Now we will learn how to make golden letters in Photoshop. Get ready for painstaking work, you need to do everything step by step and not neglect small nuances, then everything will work out.

Step 1: getting ready to go

1. Create a new 1200x800 px picture and open the "Layers" window.

2. Make the background black using the Paint Bucket tool.

3. Select white in the palette and write something using the "Type" tool. We chose 230pt Times New Roman Bold, Figure 2.

4. Position the text in the middle using the Move tool. To resize the text, use Free Transform in the Edit menu.

Step 2: making gold

1. Click the fx button at the bottom of the Layers window and choose Gradient Overlay from the list. Click once on its color to edit. A window with a color school will appear. If you have standard colors (black and white) on the toolbar, then the gradient will be black and white.

On the scale, you will see sliders, these are color control points. Double click on the lower left slider and select yellow (# ffff00) from the palette, Fig. 3, in the same way change the final color of the gradient by clicking on the second lower slider on the right. Set the shade closer to gold (we took # cc9900), fig. 4. Click "Ok". In the window with gradient styles change the style to "Mirror", set the opacity and scale to 100%, Fig. 5, click "OK" again. It should look something like this, fig. 6.

2. Press fx and Emboss again. Change the method to "Hard cut", depth 195%, size 90, Fig. 7, select "Double ring" for the gloss outline and check the "Smoothing" checkbox next to the outline, Fig. 8. It looks like gold. You can further increase the depth to taste.

3. But do not rush to close the styles window, on the left under "Embossing" check the box next to "Outline".

4. In the same place, in the style window, check the box in front of "Gloss" and select it with the mouse, going to the settings. Select the "Color Dodge" mode, set the Opacity to about 50%, and the color to bright yellow (# ffff00), Fig. 9.

5. Now select "Drop Shadow", Blending Mode "Normal", Opacity 100%, Color # 999900, Offset and Swipe = 0, Size = 6, Contour "Double Ring" plus "Anti-Aliasing", Figure 10. Here's what happened, fig. 11.

1. Create a new empty layer (the second button to the right of the trash can in the layers window).

2. Activate the Eyedropper tool and sample the color from the lightest area of the letters.

3. Switch to Brush with 100% opacity and adjust the size of the tool.

4. In the brush settings in the top menu, load the "Miscellaneous brushes" category and select the brush # 25 or # 48, fig. 12.

5. Draw glitter on the letters where appropriate. Approximately as in the sample, Fig. 13.
