BeatsX Wireless Headphones Review. Beats X Wireless Headphones Beats EP On-Ear

Beats by Dre has been a traditional headphone manufacturer for a long time, but the BeatsX is a different breed. That's because instead of sticking to heavy workout headphones or wildly expensive ears, the company has come up with a new pair of musically tuned ears for anyone already tired of losing their brand new Apple AirPods.

While they are slightly different, BeatsX borrows heavily from previous Beats products. For example, the earbuds have a flat, non-integrated cable and all-star compatibility with iOS devices. But they are also carving their own niche as one of the first balanced earbuds from a younger loving company.

[Update: after this review, we also checked the budgeturBeats3but if you prefer your headphones to be wireless then BeatsX andPowerbeats 3these are your only options.

Of the two, PowerBeats are worth considering if you mainly listen to music in the gym, otherwise the BeatsX outperform their more comfortable fit. Check out our guide tobest wireless earbudsfor our other recommendations]

But the BeatsX has a few tricks up its sleeve that not many Apple headsets or Dre's Beats have had before: Quick Charge.

It's a feature that lets your new kidneys last up to two hours with a single five-minute charge and Apple's new W1 wireless chip. We'll talk about what the W1 is doing in detail later in the review, but we preface that conversation by saying that it significantly improves the BeatsX's battery life and performance over Bluetooth.

Carrying over from previous generations, however, is his appreciation - the BeatsX is not what we'll look at as an affordable pair of in-ear headphones. They cost $ 149 / £ 129 / AU $ 199, which is much more expensive than similar audible wireless in-ear headphones - including our favorite pair of gym friends, the Optoma NuForce BE Sport3 - but cheaper than other wireless headphones made by Beats. Fortunately.

So, the new BeatsX pound for pound of Apple's best headphones?

design

Recently, in-ear headphones have taken on one of three designs. They are either fully connected to the ears, which connect the drivers to the 3.5mm jack; two completely wireless headphones that connect to each other via Bluetooth; or two headphones connected via a cable that wraps around the neck. BeatsX falls into the latter category.

Having two headphones connected via a cable may not seem like an ideal solution for some - after that, the cable tends to weigh the headphones down, but it's not without its advantages. First and foremost is the fact that they are harder to lose than fully wireless earbuds. Second, the wire between the two buds can provide the home with built-in controls and battery, allowing the earbuds to last longer between charges and allowing you to communicate with Siri.

The built-in controls here are exactly what we like: basic but effective. You can use them to raise and lower the volume, pause music, skip tracks and rewind. There's also a built-in microphone that you can use to make calls - something we'll touch on later in the review.

If you're worried that the cable might feel uncomfortable, let's face your fears - the BeatsX is absolutely one of the most comfortable wireless ears we've ever worn. It fits naturally to the neck thanks to the flat cable and doesn't really get in the way.

The solution here is to carry most of the weight in the thickest part of the cable that sits around your neck, leaving the two smaller cables with the headphones attached to run up to your ears. This technique helps the BeatsX sit snugly in your ear without giving you the feeling that they are about to fall out. As for the in-ear insert, Apple ships each package with four different earbuds and two sets of fenders to help keep the earbuds in place during development.

Speaking of workouts, the BeatsX is water resistant, but not completely waterproof. In practice, this means you can take the BeatsX with you on a sweaty ride to the gym without worrying about your safety ... as long as you avoid taking them to the pool. When they're out of your ear and hanging loosely over your chest, the earbuds will snap into place thanks to built-in magnets that help keep the wires from getting tangled - a neat, new feature if we've ever seen one.

If you want your BeatsX to match your gym bag, the headphones come in four colors: black, white, gray, and blue. While a pair of black earbuds might make the most sense given the amount of sweat, dust and dirt they can attract in a bag, we can't help but feel a particular attraction for the gray and blue options - the black sheep group.

By design, BeatsX has three advantages over AirPods. First, they are much more difficult to lose. Second, they have a longer battery life - around eight hours on the BeatsX compared to six AirPods. And finally, four sets of earbuds give you a better chance of finding the right fit compared to the AirPods' one-size-fits-all approach.

Play

Give us any name you like - cheap, thrifty, thrifty - but we're expecting a lot in terms of sound quality from a $ 149 pair of headphones. And while the BeatsX strikes a few of the right notes - especially in terms of achieving tonal balance - it's not exactly a perfect step up for the price.

But before we hit the house where BeatsX goes crazy, let's focus on the high notes. Sound quality is actually relatively transparent to a pair of in-ear drivers. You won't find shimmering heights and sparkling middle rings here, but the sound is far from flat or hiss. What's more surprising is the overall balance Apple has achieved - the mids, highs, and lows are all on the same keel. The highs and lows could have been even more pronounced than they are, but we never thought we'd live to see a pair of Beats headphone jacks in the middle.

Where the "phone wobble" is when it comes time to seal the sound. Even with the seemingly airtight seal, we could still hear most of the conversation around us. We didn't expect the Bose QC to be level 30 noise canceling, but we don't think it's not too much to ask for passive noise canceling.

With this, at least the BeatsX does not flow sound. Despite the fact that he played at an ear-destructive level, no one in the car was wiser, what kind of guilty music of pleasure we were listening to at the time. (In case any of you are reading, this was the soundtrack for the Whiplash movie.)

If you're looking for a ton of bass and we can't believe we're talking about it, you won't find it on this pair of Beats-Levels from Avicii was relatively tame, and Little Black Submarine by The Black Keys lacked that punch and weakness. which we have heard with other pairs of cans. For most audiophiles, this news won't upset you. But for people accustomed to the pairs of Beats sounding like inside a subwoofer, you might have been disappointed.

What we really liked was clearer. Nothing seemed dull or drab, but there was a definite lack of energy here. For quality, we put them right next to the Klipsch Reference X6i - a solid, mid-range expensive pair of in-ear headphones since 2016.

As we mentioned at the beginning of the review, BeatsX can also be used for field calls and Siri pull-ups. Using the BeatsX as a Bluetooth headset is surprisingly simple, with one tap on the line remote to answer calls and two clicks to hang. In terms of call clarity, everyone we spoke to said that when using the BeatsX headphones, we were clearer than we were using the iPhone SE's microphone, if a little quieter.

W1 Chip and Battery Life

Even though we are not the main fans of Apple's spread of strange, new, proprietary technologies (cough, lightning, cough), we have a love for the new W1 chip. This is undoubtedly the brains behind the wireless operation inside the BeatsX. This helps the headset sync easily with iOS devices and helps save battery life.

Strange, yes, but it's very easy to use. Holding the unpaired BeatsX next to the iPhone prompts you if you want to connect headphones. Click "Yes" and it will pull your name off your phone - in our case, renaming itself "Nick's BeatsX".

As far as we can tell, this works with any number of iOS devices, including Apple Watches and iPads - although it didn't trigger a clue on our slightly older Macbook Pro.

For Android users accustomed to using NFC to pair their devices, this might not be a groundbreaking feature (a few things that come from Apple). But for iOS users struggling with headphones, we appreciate the usability improvements the W1 Chip has to offer.

When it comes to battery life, the W1 also adds a je ne sais quoi that helps squeeze the extra performance from the built-in batteries. Apple AirPods, which also use the W1 chip, last about six hours between charges, while the BeatsX lasts about eight hours before needing to be refueled. Our testing has shown that it can last a little longer than the eight hours it was designed for, but that number can drop after a certain number of quick charge sessions.

Speaking of Quick Charge, the feature worked exactly as expected, delivering roughly 25% charge in five minutes or less. Now you're forced to use a Lightning cable to charge your headphones instead of the more versatile USB-C type, but as long as you don't mind keeping the new cable with you, your headphones can stay charged at all times.

We liked

While we still won't use the word "stylish" to ever describe in-ear headphones, BeatsX makes a pretty compelling case to get us started. That said, whatever you make of the design aesthetic is still incredibly comfortable to wear for a long time at a time. The 8-hour battery life facilitates longer listening sessions plus when you run out of juice it only takes a few minutes to boost the headset up to 25%.

We didn't love

While the sound quality is decent and balanced for the Beats headphones, they're still not where we'd like it to for the price tag. There are simply better tones that cost less. While the headset does a decent job of stopping you from listening to the music you're listening to, it doesn't do a great job of shutting down external noise. Finally, while we didn't skip the Lightning headphone charging cord throughout our review, Android and Windows phone users may not be as susceptible to adding a different cord to their bags.

Final verdict

BeatsX caters to two different, but sometimes very different, camps.

For starters, it will almost certainly resonate with a workout crowd looking for a solid pair of ears that feel decent and won't weigh them down.

But secondly, and more surprisingly, the headphones will also appeal to your standard music listener - someone who has just been looking for a pair of ears for a long time. There are some obvious issues with noise condensation here, but they're not unforgivable given the worthy tradeoffs in terms of battery life and excellent iOS integration.

If you're looking for a pair of headphones and don't mind dumping cash on them, BeatsX is for you. If you're a cheap, humble, or thrifty audiophile like us, there are still better options out there for less.

BeatsX are new wireless headphones from Beats, partnered with Apple. This headset is designed for use with Apple devices, more specifically with iPhone, iPad, MacBook or iMac. But it is possible to connect them to any device with Bluetooth support, but all the headset chips are lost in this case. Beats X is sold in four colors: white, black, blue and gray. They have a stylish design, ergonomics and good autonomy. But are they worth the money? Moving on to a detailed look at the Beats X.

Beats BeatsX headphone review

The review should start with the fact that they are not suitable for some people. Their main advantages are ease of use and sound quality. Also Beats X is good to use as a headset for conversations. They have a large set of commands on the RemoteTalk. This device is also suitable for athletes and those who need a long-playing wireless headset. Instructions in Russian will be in the review below.

BeatsX uses in-ear earbuds, meaning they fit completely into your ear and provide excellent noise isolation by wrapping around the opening of your ear. This allows you to comfortably listen to sounds even in very noisy places. However, the environment will not be so audible, especially if something is playing. This form factor has both pros and cons. With the Beats X on, it will be very problematic to hear what is happening around. Talking to people in Beats is almost impossible, you have to film them for a while. Also, when talking through a headset, it is difficult to control your voice, as a result, you can start screaming imperceptibly for yourself, since you cannot hear yourself with a normal tone. But this is solved by simply removing one of the headphones. Bottom line: excellent insulation is suitable for consuming content in noisy places, but prevents your own hearing and understanding of what is happening around.

The Beats X are water resistant, but not completely waterproof. You can play sports in them without any problems and not be afraid of sweating, but swimming in the pool is prohibited. It is also possible to use them in the rain.

Sound quality

The Beats X review cannot do without describing the sound. Sound quality is definitely good for any wireless headphone, especially when listening to lossless music. Beats has support for the old and rather mediocre SBC codec that will be used with Windows and Android devices. Apple's iPhones and other gadgets use the AAC codec, which Beats X supports. However, some smartphones on a green robot can handle a better AAC codec, but you need to find out before buying.

Thanks to the AAC codec, the sound from Beats is balanced and clear. The volume of the Beats is of average power, they do not knock, but because of the in-ear system, this is enough to hear everything. Highs, mids and lows are balanced, there is no definite bias in one thing. However, all Beats products are characterized by strong bass and this product is no exception. After reviewing the sound, you can see that the bass is not very pronounced, but its intensity is sometimes felt.

Design

Design review is a subjective topic. The Beats X are stylish yet bulky. At first glance, it might seem that the Beats monitored have too many unnecessary elements, but this is not the case. Each part of the device has its own function and is made conveniently. The monitored Beats X are lightweight and, due to their construction, are almost imperceptible on the body. The long cable allows you to fully roll your head without pulling on the Beats X.

The wire is strong and thick, has a flattened shape, which is why there is no strong elasticity. The wire is divided into a third, two parts of the wiring go to the ears, and the third is behind the neck to connect the charging blocks. These two energy storage tanks are thin and elongated, serve to balance the structure, but do not strain during operation. The wire between the batteries is much thicker and more difficult to bend, this is done so that it is more comfortable to hold on the shoulders.

On the left side there is a remote control for intelligent control of the device, its overview will be further. The similarity with Apple is minimal: only the light connector gives it out. Each Beats headphone features the Beats logo. The Beats X themselves are small and barely visible in the ears.

Autonomy

One of the main features of the monitored Beats X is battery life. Due to the large battery, the device is capable of working up to eight hours of continuous playback. While waiting, this value is multiplied several times. It follows from this that Beats can be turned on during the day and used until the evening without fear of discharge.

The Beats X is powered by the W1 chip, the exact same chip used in the Airpods. This means that they have full compatibility with Apple products. All the functionality, features and benefits of using an iPhone paired with Beats have a place to be.

Charges Beats X with a lightning cable. This is another plus in the direction of choosing these headphones for iPhone owners, since they do not have to carry around several different connectors for recharging. Equipped with fast charging, but no wireless charging. Alas, you cannot use the monitored Beats while charging, as they are automatically turned off when the cable is connected.

According to the manufacturer, the earbuds can be charged in five minutes for two hours of playback. It takes 45 minutes to fully charge. Considering the size of the battery, this is the best result among wireless headphones. So the Beats X is one of the staples for people looking for long-lasting wireless headphones.

Connection

The headset review for Beats X wireless headphones has detailed instructions, since there are a lot of possibilities thanks to the remote control. The main button for turning on and connecting devices to the headphones is located on the right side of the block. There is also a luminous status indicator. The playback control is located separately on the left earphone.

Headphone-on overview

To turn on or off with the earphone, you need to hold down the button for one second. If the light is blinking white, it means that the bluetooth headphones are ready to sync with any device. After connecting, the light will stop blinking and will show the battery charge level. Here's an overview of the battery level notations:

    White indicates that the earbuds are charged;

    The red color signals an imminent discharge (less than an hour left);

    A flashing red light indicates that the Beats X is dead and needs to be charged;

    The light is off - the headphones are turned off or completely discharged.

To listen to anything through Beats X, you need built-in Bluetooth Class 1 for wireless connectivity. Without it, you won't be able to connect headphones in any way.

Connecting headphones to Apple technology

How do I connect them to an Apple device? Very easy. It is enough to press the button under the right earpiece for one second and bring the device to the iPhone. After that, an interface will appear on the smartphone, offering to connect a headset. If this does not happen, you need to reconnect. To do this, press and hold your finger on the connect button for five seconds. This will put the headphones into reconnect mode, so any device can now sync with Beats X. For subsequent connection you need:

    Open the IOS control center by swiping your finger from the bottom up (On MacOS, just click on the bluetooth icon in the control panel);

    Click on the device name at the bottom of the card and select your headphones from the list of playback devices.

Connections to third-party equipment

To connect the headphone to Android, Windows or to any other device, you must hold the power button for five seconds until it starts blinking. After that, in the bluetooth settings, select the headphones and wait for the connection.

After the first connection, the second time the device synchronizes itself after turning on (one second of delay on the button). It is only necessary to hold for five seconds if you need to connect the headphones to a new sound source.

Playback Control Overview

On the left side of the cable, the monitored Beats X has a smart, flexible RemoteTalk. It houses the central control button and volume rocker. The volume rockers smoothly change the volume by pressing or holding on them. The center button can be used to:

    One click will pause or play a track;

    Double clicking will switch the track forward;

    Triple press will switch the track back;

    Double tap and hold will fast forward the track;

    Pressing and holding three times will rewind the track;

During a call, the functionality of the central button changes, it can be used for the following actions:

    One press will accept or end the call;

    Long press will reject the incoming call;

    During a parallel call, one press will accept the second call and put the first on hold;

    One press during two simultaneous calls makes it possible to switch between them;

    Double-clicking will redirect the conversation to the smartphone, while stopping the headset from working.

Factory reset and update

To reset the settings, you need to hold down and hold the power and volume down buttons in the off mode for ten seconds. The headphones will restart and have to be reconnected. To update the firmware, simply connect your Beats X to your iPhone and the update will automatically download. Updates are not available on other devices.

The convenience of use

Beats are wireless headphones, which means they don't need to be connected to a playback device, and the music is transmitted “over the air”. The monitored bits use bluetooth technology to transmit information, which makes it possible to use them with smartphones, computers or laptops with bluetooth support of the latest version (4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 5.0 and higher).

You do not need to connect to the gadget, but between the headphones themselves there is a wire with battery blocks and a RemoteTalk cable. Using Beats X, you can easily move around the room or gym without having to carry your smartphone next to you. The connection works stably if the two devices are up to 15 meters away from each other, however, obstacles can contribute to the disconnection of the connection. In the event of a gap, as soon as the distance is short again, the gadgets will automatically sync and continue to play, you don't need to do anything for this.

They are put on by the neck and stretched along it, while two power supplies should be on the neck, and the RemoteTalk remote should hang in the air. If you use only one ear, the second earbud will dangle against your chest even during normal walking, this is quite uncomfortable. But two headphones can be magnetically connected at the breasts so that they do not dangle when not in use. Thus, it is convenient to wear them only either two at once, or not one.

The wire that connects the Beats X headphones is long but not heavy and does not cause discomfort over long periods of time. Because of this, the wire with the earphone itself sticks out a little forward, and two blocks do not allow the wire to rise up and touch a person. With this design, the Beats are nearly impossible to drop when running, cycling, and so on. They sit firmly on the head and do not slip out. During prolonged wear, they do not create pressure on the body, since they have a soft fit and a pleasant manufacturing material - plastic with rubber. In winter, they can be worn without problems under clothes, the length of the wire allows you to do this.

Equipment

Along with the headphones, the set includes interchangeable ear pads of various sizes, false silicone tips, soft cases and a short lightning charging cable. The packaging of the monitored Beats X is large, the headphones themselves are beautifully wrapped in a box, under which there is another one with various accessories.

There are four pairs of replaceable ear pads, and they differ significantly in size, it will not be difficult to find comfortable ones. The color of the ear cushions depends directly on the color of the purchased headphones. In addition to them, there are also attachments for the headphones themselves, which help to attach them in the ear. These tips serve as anchors in the cartilage of the ear. The headphone case is small and made of black rubber. The wire is also included in the kit only in black. Also as a bonus there is a branded sticker with the Beats logo in the form of a letter "B".

In 2014, Apple bought the headphone maker Beats, thereby strengthening the audio direction, not so much with technology as with a strong brand. Therefore, it is not surprising that the company used its own W1 chip, which is responsible for the wireless connection, in the BeatsX wireless headphones. What this gave the Beats headphones and how good they sound, we answer in the review.

The BeatsX comes with a set of replacement ear pads, cartilage clips, a short Lightning cable, and a rubber carrying case.

Design, materials and usability

BeatsX are made in the classic design for wireless headphones with two speakers connected by a wire. The latter turned out to be quite thin and flexible, as it is made of rubber. The wire smoothly goes into two plastic blocks in which the battery is located, and then it is thinned to the speakers, being interrupted on the left side only by the remote control with volume control. This design gives the BeatsX good flexibility, so you can twist the headphones without worrying about damage. In addition, the absence of a rigid frame makes it possible to comfortably wear the headphones around the neck, which is also facilitated by their low weight, which is 23 grams (with ear pads and cartilaginous clamps). The length of the BeatsX cable initially seems excessive, but in practice it does not interfere during use, and, on the contrary, during sports, it allows you to exercise freely.

Overall, the BeatsX look good, with a simple and somewhat minimalist design that will suit any outfit and style. Six colors are available for sale at once:

As for the usability, I will immediately scold the complete ear pads. Firstly, there are only four pairs of them, and secondly, they are not as soft as we would like. Because of this, it will be more difficult to choose a pair for the most comfortable fit, but it's good that you can use other ear pads, the mount is standard here. Cartilage clips allow the speakers to fit more tightly in your ears, so even if the fit isn't perfect, they prevent the headphones from falling out while providing additional noise isolation. The latter depends on the fit and the ear cushions themselves, and differs little from other in-ear headphones.

On the headphone case, you can find a remote control with volume control and a pause key, which, when pressed twice, launches the Siri voice assistant. It is convenient to adjust the volume with the remote control, it is not very close to the speaker, and is easy to touch. Another mechanical button in BeatsX is responsible for turning on the headphones, as well as connecting to devices. It is deeply recessed into the body and is pressed with a short stroke, so it is often difficult to tell whether it worked or not. The only indicator light that confirms action is very small and difficult to see.

Connection

Thanks to the W1 chip, the headphones are very easy to connect to Apple devices, just hold down the power key and a window will immediately appear on the iPhone screen with a proposal to connect BeatsX.

Connecting to computers with macOS occurs through the standard Bluetooth menu, and if they were previously connected to the iPhone, they are immediately recognized as the user's headphones.

In the future, switching between a smartphone and a computer occurs almost instantly, which is very convenient. The stability of the Bluetooth connection is excellent, the headphones do not get lost and keep in touch well.

Sound

Beats headphones are often criticized for their mediocre sound at a fairly high cost. BeatsX is no exception in this regard, although it does show that the company is working on sound quality.

The problem with the headphones is that they don't have a very even tonal balance, the high frequencies are worked out well, but the mids are slightly worse, and the low ones are not at all typical for Beats, in which the bass always stood out. Because of this, the instruments sound great through the BeatsX, but vocals are lost a little against their background, and the bass sags noticeably. At the same time, the stage is quite wide, and the volume margin is excellent. Thus, the headphones sound overall good if you are not a bass lover, but there is nothing outstanding in their sound, and the same sound quality can be obtained in more affordable models.

Autonomy

The autonomy of BeatsX is declared at the level of 8 hours of continuous playback, and this is really so, in practice you can count on even longer battery life, up to 9 hours.

The headphones are charged through the Lightning port, and at the same time they support fast charging, in 5 minutes the headphones are charged for almost two hours of operation.

Site score

Pros: nice and convenient design, light weight, comfortable fit, very simple system of connecting and switching between Apple devices, stable connection, fast charging, autonomy

Minuses: complete abmyushura, power key, lack of bass

Output: BeatsX are Beats Wireless Headphones with Apple W1 Chip. The model differs in sound from other devices of the brand, it does not have the characteristic Beats bass, but the mids and highs are well worked out. Actually, BeatsX play at the level of another Apple wireless headphones - AirPods, and in fact are an alternative for those who prefer in-ear fit, as well as the presence of a connecting wire. At the same time, like the AirPods, the BeatsX uses the W1 chip, which is responsible for wireless connection via the Bluetooth protocol, which allows the headphones to keep the connection stable and quickly switch between different devices. If it were not for the traditionally high price for Beats, then the BeatsX as a whole could be called a good solution for those looking for wireless in-ear headphones. But if you take into account competitors in the same price range, then the advantages of the model become less obvious.

The Beats Studio headphones are among the best known in the consumer market. Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Wireless are premium, comfortable wireless headphones with Bluetooth connectivity, great sound and active noise canceling.

Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Wireless Review - Premium Bluetooth Headphones

Headphones Beats Studio Wireless by Dr. Dre - Reviews

The Beats Studio Wireless are foldable and offer approximately 12 hours of continuous listening time. Although the price tag is quite high, around $ 380, wireless headphones are the undisputed brand.

It's easy to confuse the Beats Studio (2013) headphones with other Beats headphones as they look nearly identical. The difference is that they not only have active noise cancellation, but also allow, thanks to Bluetooth technology, to read information from any compatible device. Beats' headphones are $ 80 higher.

Both earbuds are based on a unique design, packed in original packaging with a wide range of accessories. The earbuds themselves look great, are comfortable to use, and the build is nearly flawless. This new model is slightly lighter, softly covers the ears with a fairly snug fit, which helps to isolate well from extraneous sounds.

I listened to Beats headphones for several weeks and realized that I really like them. As for the sound, when listening to the new Beats Studio 2.0, you can feel absolutely digital sound, not like before in other Bluetooth headphones, arranged according to the method of calculating the optimal shape of the sound chamber. And this is a significant upgrade.

Beats Studio Wireless Design and Features

Beats headphones come in six color schemes - white, blue, red, titanium, and black (matte or glossy) - and look better than the original Beats Studio.

While these headphones are mostly made of plastic, the finishes are made from soft boxed leather to enhance their personality and look more attractive than the original Studios. Glossy models leave fingerprints, so the earbuds are equipped with a small polishing cloth (this cloth is now becoming a common accessory for this type of plastic earbuds).

Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Wireless - specifications

Beats Studio Wireless have Matte Black and fold more compactly

Like the standard Studio (2013), this model does not have "visible" screws, and this is not very good, because small screws have a habit of falling out when unscrewed. Nevertheless, when you take off the headphones, they fold, although in this model the hinges are hidden. There is frankly little metal and when the headphones are unfolded, they click pleasantly.

Equipment

The kit includes a case, and other additional accessories. Including as USB charging cable, USB power adapter, audio cable, RemoteTalk cable, cleaning cloth and instruction manual.

Unfortunately, the cords are red for all models, so, for example, a blue model with a red cord does not always look harmonious. Of course, for $ 379.95, I would like to get cords that match the color of the headphones.

Nevertheless, these are wireless headphones, and in most cases, when using cords, they do not matter much (except perhaps the USB cable). The headphone battery powers the non-wireless transmitter - USB charging cable.

Noise suppression

On the inside, there is a new, "improved" DSP (digital signal processor) and thanks to the software that Beats uses, there is an active noise canceling function that is capable of working in two modes. The first noise canceling mode is designed to improve the quality of listening to music, while the second mode offers stronger environmental noise reduction.

Beats Studio Wireless - overview

The Beats by Dr. Dre Studio 2.0 Wireless has an integrated rechargeable lithium battery for Bluetooth power and noise suppression, which is powered by a USB cable (red again). Battery life is rated for 12 hours of wireless listening and 20 hours of wired listening.

Charge indicator and microphone

There is a battery level indicator under the power button on the right earbud that shows how much power is left. If you have an IOS device, a tiny battery sensor in the form of an icon will be displayed on your gadget next to the Bluetooth icon in the upper right corner of the screen (not all Bluetooth audio devices have this).

Like other stereo Bluetooth headphones, the Beats Studio 2.0 Wireless has a built-in microphone. It worked pretty well on phone calls. Can be used as a wireless headset for taking mobile phone calls.

BeatsX Wireless headphones are designed for those who value ergonomics, high-quality noise isolation, uninterrupted operation and durability in headphones.
