If you ask a question that S Voice does not understand, then the program will offer to look for an answer on the Internet, that is, it will show the search results for your phrase in the browser.

So we got acquainted with S Voice and understood what kind of program it was. It should be noted that the application requires the Internet to work, otherwise you will hear in response to your commands only "There is no network connection, try to connect to the network and try again."

If in the process of communicating with the program you find cool questions, drop them to me through the comments. And perhaps your friends, owners of Galaxy smartphones, will be interested to know about this information, so repost is welcome.

Hello everyone!
If you're a Samsung user, you're probably familiar with the S Voice app. For those who do not know what it is, I will explain - this is the Samsung analogue of OK Google, Siri or Cortana. You can also talk to him a little.

I (and not only I alone) find it not very convenient when this program (for seemingly incomprehensible reasons) suddenly starts up for no reason at all. In fact, there is still such a reason. This is a double click on the "Home" button. I myself very often accidentally caused this miracle by accidentally pressing until I decided that it was time to turn it off. For those who do not know how to do this, I share the recipe.
For example, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S4 with Android Lollipop.
So, we launch the application, go to its settings. Here we immediately see the menu item "Open with the Home key". We uncheck the box in front of him, we leave from here.

That's it, now the program can be launched only through applications, and the "Home" button will be used for its intended purpose.

Launching S Voice through apps

Hello guys. Let's talk today about the S Voice program, which is designed only for Samsung phones. Well, what does this program do, you’ll probably think .. well, I’ll answer, everything is simple, S Voice acts as a voice assistant. Well, the first thing that came to my mind was Okay Google, although these are probably a little different things all the same

So what can S Voice do? The possibilities are interesting, but I'll run ahead and say that there are probably some disadvantages in this application! Well, I mean that there is no life without jambs, so to speak, I don't know why, but in every application that COULD BE VERY USEFUL IN THEORY, there are jambs in it such that in the end you just don't want to use the application! Sorry guys, I wrote a little off topic, these are just my thoughts!

WELL SO HERE, what can S Voice do? But what, it can call and send SMS, if the program really knows how to do all this and without jambs, then honor and praise her! Also, S Voice can recognize the weather, which is commendable too! S Voice can determine where you are now, here you probably need a GPS module in your phone. It can pave the route, well, yes, but Google Maps or Yandex Maps are also great at this. There is a built-in alarm clock, there seems to be nothing special here. You can add notes and reminders to your calendar. You can also turn Wi Fi on or off .. Well, and much more, something necessary, but something superfluous, well, it seems to me ...

Russian language is present in S Voice, that's good

In principle, such things. You can play with S Voice, can this application be useful in practice? I do not know…

But after reading about S Voice on the Internet, I came to the conclusion that not everyone likes this program, well, some users are wondering how to turn it off? Well, if this is interesting to you, then I will now answer this question. I hope my version, if anything, will help you. In short, we launch S Voice, then go to the settings, and here there will be an item Open with the Home key, remove the check mark from this item:

So what did we do with this? Now the Home button will perform its intended purpose and will not launch the S Voice program with this button. There is another option for disabling: select Applications and there you find S Voice App and disable it. Well, or turn it off through the dispatcher

By the way, Windows 10 also has an assistant, but I think that it will be cooler, you may even know it, this is the Cortana assistant. It seems to be a female assistant ..

Here's how S Voice knows the weather:

Hmm, I didn't know about this, but there is one very interesting feature of the S Voice application, in short, you can give commands to your smartphone even when it is ... OFF, wow! However, not all models support such an innovative feature! That is, your voice can turn on the phone! Didn't I confuse anything? Yes, it seems not! Look, go to the S Voice settings, there is an item Turn on by voice, move the slider to the right and then click Yes:

But also check that the Wake-up command is ticked Then, to send a command, you need to call S Voice, for this say the wake-up phrase, by default it is: Hello, Galaxy. After this phrase, the S Voice application will open and everything will be ready to receive your command.

I found a picture, it says Welcome, well, it's like a greeting:

After the greeting, a tutorial will be offered, you can skip it, or you can learn how to use S Voice by watching a short lesson:

Then there will be such infa, it says here that you need to click on the microphone and say the phrase (to look for the cow smiled).

Undoubtedly, the S Voice assistant has evolved over the years and is now much more convenient than before. However, for many, the question of how to disable S Voice on Samsung Galaxy S5, S4, S3 and other gadgets remains a priority. Preferring to either not use voice commands at all, or to download more advanced alternatives - Google Now and other Play Store applications, users are abandoning S Voice.

Disabling S Voice seems to make sense, as without this feature, the responsiveness of the Home button is noticeably increased. Fortunately, to do this, it is enough to perform fairly simple manipulations with your Korean gadget.

Instructions on how to disable S Voice

The Voice Commands app on Samsung Galaxy often gets in the way. The fact is that it starts if you double-click on the "Home" button. That is, sometimes it happens by accident, which, undoubtedly, can be unnerving. Not only that, the response of the Home button is noticeably slower due to S Voice. It is not surprising that more and more users are wondering how to disable Voice on Samsung. Fortunately, this is done in 4 steps:

  1. Open S Voice by double clicking "Home";
  2. Open the "Menu" (upper right corner of the application);
  3. Select the "Settings" column;
  4. Uncheck the box next to "Open with Home Button".

Today we will touch on the beautiful and wonderful - the voice assistant. This is the feature that many manufacturers believe should change the world and take the user experience to a whole new level. Since we have not yet reviewed S-Voice, Samsung's proprietary assistant, it's time to revise it!

S-Voice Is a voice assistant or assistant, whichever is more convenient for you, which Samsung presented along with the third version of its flagship and the new version of TouchWiz Nature UX. From the very presentation I never cease to rejoice that the leading manufacturers have begun to pay more attention not to hardware, but to software and the subject of today's review is confirmation of this. In a nutshell, S-Voice is the aunt in your smartphone (only if your smartphone is a Samsung Galaxy S 3) who will at least try to answer all your questions and complete the tasks assigned to her.

Surely, they are working on the technology, since my English remained clumsy, but S-Voice now does not shut me up, almost always understands the first time and this, of course, is good. Let's start from the very beginning - from the first launch. First, you will be told that the smartphone can perform various tasks using its voice. Then there are a number of instructions, in general, we geeks skip all this.

You can activate the assistant at any time by saying a greeting. The standard is "Hi Galaxy", but you can easily change to "Hi Borodach", "Hi Alladin" or whatever you want.

If we compare the call of the voice assistant in SGS3 and in the iPhone, then it is more logical here - you need to press the mechanical Home key twice. A long press brings up a menu of running applications. In the iPhone, on the contrary, and this is not correct, since this menu has to be used more often, so it would be logical to hang a single long tap on it.

In childhood, S-Voice was not the smartest in the class, but now she has grown up and has become much more intelligent and educated. If you have at least some English, you can already ask S-Voice any general education questions. Moreover, I asked absolutely any interesting questions, from presidents to converting values. In case S-Voice has something to say, in addition to two or three words, the "More" button will appear under the answer.

But we are naturally most interested in the basic functionality of S-Voice as a voice assistant. You can find out the weather anywhere in the world at any time, you can use your voice to turn on and off all kinds of phone functions, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. By the way, I could not get Siri to turn on Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. You can post something to Twitter using your voice, set a timer or alarm, make an appointment in the calendar. I was very pleased with the opportunity to build a route and turn on turn-by-turn navigation, for this you just need to ask to take you somewhere. You can also type in notes and more.

At the moment, Russian is not supported, but it should appear. S-Voice isn't the only cool thing about voice in SGS3. Like any other Android 4 device, there is a "stenographer" (something we called her).

Wherever you need to enter text, you can press the microphone and simply pour out your soul (read - rewrite the hut on the cat), she will understand everything and write it down on paper.

Final revision

Probably the biggest drawback is the inability to work with the voice assistant offline. At least GPRS is needed. And I'm also wondering what will happen with the SGS3 update to Android 4.1, because there is a pretty good assistant in the form of Google Search. Will they be left to live next to each other, or will GS functionality be combined with S-Voice?

I will no longer compare S-Voice with similar solutions in some other devices, since these functions are exclusive and you will not be able to install any of them on another device. S-Voice was even ripped out of the firmware and made publicly available, but the assistant simply does not want to work on other devices. But what you can install is similar solutions from the market, like Iris, Assistant, Jeannie and others. Having used, in due time, each assistant, I can say with confidence: if you have SGS3 - it is better not to look for an alternative to S-Voice, all third-party solutions are somewhat simpler. But I will put a fat point in this statement when S-Voice learns Russian.
