At the very beginning, many will ask me again - what are signature gadgets (is there a COMBO or just radar detectors), but I already have about it separate article, so we read we look. I will explain a little for those who do not want to delve into - these are new technologies (not yet such "doped"), but they help to more accurately identify radar detectors and remove a large number of false alarms. So our COMBO SMART received a new "hardware" inside (updated), now it is essentially a different gadget, in spite of the old case.

Menu and display
Let's take a look at the display on the main display. Let's analyze the modes that are displayed on the display at the bottom left ("CITY", CITY1, CITY2, ROAD, Signature (this is exactly the signature mode)). At the bottom right there is a display of display brightness and volume level. The upper part of the display is the recording indicator, clock, display of satellites, memory cards (whether or not), whether the microphone is on, the battery and the main modes of the radar detector.

The menu is very extensive (about 9 pages), made in white letters on a gray background. Everything is configured inside and out! If you put a bad drive of the wrong speed (class), then it will work badly, freeze glitches, etc. The manufacturer himself says that it should be UHS-I from serious manufacturers (such as Toshiba, Samsung, etc.). I have honest reviews and honest reviews, I will not lie to you (especially since you will see everything yourself in the video examples). The quality of the video is poor, there is soap and it is very difficult to see the numbers already three meters from the car! THIS IS VERY unfortunate! Personally, I do not really understand why such a "TOP IRON" writes a video this way. The previous manufacturer had a problem with internal optimization, they tweaked it and now the picture quality is at its best. We will also wait for the elimination of this problem from SHO-ME, FACT, their support is indeed one of the best in Russia, I think that soon the quality will be corrected with the next firmware. Now a few words about SIGNATURES
As I wrote, there are several modes here:
- Regular - (they work like ordinary radar detectors), these are "CITY", "CITY1", "CITY2" and "ROAD" They exclude or include certain ranges, depending on which mode you activated.
- Signature ... "SIGNATURE" mode. This mode detects signals received only from radar detectors, cameras and other things. Other interference such as doors, cruise controls, etc., it does not display. In general, it excludes a large number of false positives.
I have no big complaints about the SIGNATURE mode! Everything is determined as needed and moreover, it writes to you what was determined - "CRETCH", "CORDON", etc.
However, I can name a minus not such a wide range of work, only 150 - 200 meters. If this is enough in the city, then on the highway you do not always have time to react! IT IS NECESSARY TO REMEMBER.
COMBO SMART is doing well with GPS - GLONASS. "Cold" start for about a minute, warm for about 10 - 15 seconds, hot in general for a few seconds. Everything is VERY clear and fast. All stationary cameras and dummies are crammed and displayed correctly (including AUTODORIA), the GPS database is updated every month, so there are no complaints here. As the manufacturer himself assures, it works in two GPS systems and Russian GLONASS.
