Laptop decoration. We decorate the laptop on our own For work I needed

How to decorate your laptop?

When purchasing a laptop, a strong half of humanity prefers exclusively functionality, mobility and speed of work, multiple processor cores, optimal memory size, ergonomic appearance. Women have a slightly different attitude to the characteristics of the "iron friend". Just think, your laptop has a lot to say about your personality if it has an unusual look, such as appliqué or airbrushing on the laptop lid.

There are several ways to decorate your laptop and stand out from the crowd. So, let's begin...

1. Airbrush drawing. You can draw a whole art panel on the laptop lid. You can create an unusually lively drawing if you use an airbrush. Apple laptops look very unusual and beautiful if you apply an airbrush picture to the outer cover. If you have a portable airbrush in your home, as well as artistic talent, this is not difficult to do. Otherwise, take the laptop to an airbrush shop. A drawing made by a master will become a real painting on your working machine.

2. Vinyl stickers. Vinyl stickers are a great way to decorate your laptop. These are sold in modern computer hardware and mobile phone stores. By choosing the sticker you need for the topic, you can create a picture or composition you like without harm to the lacquered or matte surface of the laptop. It is noteworthy that the sticker can protect against damage and minor scratches. As soon as you get tired of the image, you can easily remove it and replace it with a new one.

3. Cover for laptop. Fans of creativity can make a case or laptop bag with their own hands. The surface of the cover can be decorated with unusual embroidery, sewn-on stones, fabric appliqués. This will not only create a special mood, but also set you apart from the "gray mass".

4. Swaro Crystalsvski. If you love sophistication and prefer to show others your status, then the composition of Swarovski crystals will be very useful. When applying crystals, it is important to follow the technology so as not to damage either stones or the surface of the laptop.

5. Genuine leather. A laptop in natural leather looks very attractive and emphasizes the high status of its owner. Applying genuine leather to laptop covers will require care and accuracy, since leather is a deformable material. It is best to entrust such a difficult task to a foreman who will do his job quickly and without mistakes inherent in a beginner.

"I am happy if the design brings a smile."
Sebastian Bergne, renowned London designer

Does your laptop design bring a smile?

At first, a freshly acquired laptop pleases with one of its presence and mobility, which favorably distinguishes it from a desktop PC. Then you gradually get used to it, the laptop becomes your usual everyday assistant. Then you begin to feel that there is not enough originality, your device is the same as many millions of others, gray and faceless. Being in the last "stage" of attachment to the laptop, I decided to give it a fresh color.

At first, of course, the thought arose: why not replace the old friend with a new, designer laptop? A careful search for unconventional design yielded disappointing results, the most memorable of which is the HP Pavilion DV2800T Artist Edition.

HP can only be commended for trying to stand out. But I am not satisfied with this picture - what to do? Look for other ways, without replacing your faithful assistant.

The next option I found is airbrushing, which, as it turned out, is used not only in the auto industry. There are no longer any restrictions for the flight of imagination and the choice of the applied pattern on the laptop cover. However, the prices are quite biting, not for me - from 5 thousand rubles. To apply airbrushing, you will have to part with your portable assistant for a week or two.

The third option is designer laptop stickers. The decal is a vinyl backing that is printed with a pattern. The vinyl is then covered with a clear, protective lamination. The prices are quite affordable: for example, in the HumanTouch.ru online store, a design from the catalog - from 349 rubles, a sticker with your own picture - 679 rubles. The sticker on a laptop, unlike the first two options, can be easily changed at any time.

Actually, I chose the sticker in the end - and decorated the laptop with a memorable spectacular

In the modern world of standard items, unique, exclusive items are of particular value. To give an ordinary object originality, to endow it with a special zest and individuality is within the power of everyone who wishes. Let's use a simple decoupage technique to transform the appearance of the laptop lid.

For work we need the following tools and materials:

A picture that will decorate your laptop.
Acrylic primer.
A set of acrylic paints.
Topcoat varnish.
Painting brushes for applying glue and paints.
Small rubber roller.
File.
Medical alcohol.
Sandpaper.

Getting started

1. Choose the motive that you want to complement the design of the laptop. This can be any picture you like found on the Internet. You will need to print it on a laser printer. Inkjet printing will not work, as the image will bleed at the slightest exposure to moisture.
You can also use special decoupage cards or ordinary paper napkins with interesting designs. It is much easier to work with such materials than with printouts from a printer.

2. Spray acrylic varnish spray evenly over the surface of the picture. This will preserve the clarity and brightness of the picture.
After the varnish is completely dry, peel off the picture. It is necessary to carefully separate the lower layers of the paper and leave only the thinnest upper part with the pattern applied to it. Tear off the edges of the paper too. If you leave them even, then after gluing the border of the sheet will be very clearly visible.

3. Prepare the laptop for work - seal all holes on its surface with masking tape. The lid must be degreased. It is most convenient to do this with medical alcohol soaked in medical wipes. Wipe the laptop surface thoroughly. If this is not done, the primer may not evenly cover the lid and over time the pattern will begin to peel off.

4. Cover the surface with several coats of acrylic primer (spray or conventional). Dry each layer well. Work over the primed lid with fine emery paper to smooth out any irregularities.
5. To disguise the logo of the laptop manufacturer, apply texture paste to its image. Fill in all the unevenness of the lettering with a hard brush, and then smooth the surface with a spatula.
6. Cover the background with white acrylic paint.
7. Apply glue to the back of the pattern laid out on the file. Place it gently against the laptop surface and smooth it over the file with a rubber roller. Apply additional glue along the edge of the pattern.

8. Use acrylic paints to paint elements of the image on the background of the lid to visually combine it with the applied design.

9. Once completely dry, cover the laptop lid with several coats of acrylic varnish.

Spending just a couple of hours of time, you will get a thing of amazing beauty, original and unique.

Unique laptop with your own hands

Want to make your laptop unique and exclusive. It turns out to be pretty easy to do. I didn’t come up with all this myself. Here is the source dcpg.ru / mclasses / 806 / (All comments of the author) Good afternoon (morning, evening, and maybe even night), dear Craftswomen. Let me present my first serious work to your fair trial.

I have long cherished the idea of improving my battered laptop, but I was afraid to screw it up due to the lack of much experience, and simply could not find a decent picture. But now, seeing the reproduction sunk into my soul and having enlisted the support and consent of her husband to damage the "expensive" thing, she ran to the photo studio and set to work

For work I needed:

The object itself is a laptop,

White acrylic primer,

Sandpaper (sandpaper),

White acrylic paint,

Eggshell,

Photo reproduction,

Colored acrylic paints (white, blue, blue, dark green, black),

Silver outline

Acrylic varnish, glossy.

Let's start!

We will seal with masking tape all the places where the ingress of paints and varnishes is not desirable, degrease the surface with an alcohol-containing composition (in my case, vodka)))) and prime the company logo in the center of the lid.

after the soil has dried, sand the surface with sandpaper and cover the lid with white acrylic paint in two stages

After the paint dried, I marked the borders of the drawing and began to lay out an eggshell mosaic along the outer edge. A very painstaking task. I glued the shell to concentrated PVA glue (for strength).

Leaving the mosaic to dry, I took up photography. Oh, and I was tormented with her. I didn't think it was so troublesome !!! It took 2 hours. First I covered it with two layers of varnish. As soon as it dried, I soaked it in a bowl of water, but even after 15-20 minutes, nothing happened to the photograph ((Only varnish of tears.

But I didn’t despair and sanding the back of the photo with a sandpaper soaked it again. Only after that did I barely manage to remove the extra layers of paper. That's how I, with great difficulty, but won and conquered her, albeit with minor flaws (the eye of an experienced decoupage woman will immediately notice everything)

I smeared the surface of the picture with PVA glue and the surface for the drawing too, and with the help of a file transferred the picture to the lid of the laptop. I smoothed out the folds and drove the air out from under the picture.

I plastered the egg mosaic with diluted white acrylic paint and left to dry and went to sleep….

Utorm took a fresh look at the work done at night, eliminated some flaws and began to color. I mixed several colors by eye (white, blue, blue, black and dark green), adding each paint a little by eye, achieving maximum similarity to the background of the picture.

After the paint dried, the border of the drawing and the mosaic was decorated with a silver outline. I also walked between the shells.

Well, in the final, I covered all 4-5 layers of glossy acrylic varnish.

That's all my work. This is my first "large-scale" work. I am very worried, but ready for constructive criticism.

Thank you for the attention.

You can translate any picture onto the cover of your laptop using the decoupage technique. You can decorate your computer with an image of your favorite musician or movie hero so that it will be preserved for several years and will not be erased. However, this technique requires very careful execution. Make sure the computer is turned off, the lid is closed, and the keyboard is not damaged. Laptops have more responsive keyboards than regular computers, so the buttons may stop working if even the smallest amount of moisture gets in. Place a piece of fabric inside to cover the buttons just in case.

If you are new to the decoupage technique, you should first practice on other subjects, such as a hard plastic folder. Usually no one gets it perfect the first time. Do not entrust your computer to children for its creative alteration without your supervision. This decoration will look best on black laptops.

For work, you will need thick transparent and masking tape, liquid primer and aerosol primer, white acrylic paint, transparent acrylic varnish.

Choose the picture you need and print on plain printer paper or take a photocopy of it. A photo cut from a magazine will not work. For a successful transfer of a picture, it must be done on the thinnest paper possible. After unsealing, spray with acrylic spray lacquer on it to stabilize the ink. After the varnish is dry, take a large transparent tape and glue it all over the underside of the tenderloin. This is necessary to stratify the picture.

Cover the laptop with masking tape, covering all small holes and wrap the keyboard with cling film. Make sure you cover your computer properly. Degrease the surface of the laptop and coat with an acrylic spray primer. When it's dry, brush on the liquid primer and smooth it out. After a few hours, the primer will be ready and you can continue working.

Paint your laptop with white acrylic paint. This is necessary in order for the color of the picture to become more vivid. To do this, you can use a sponge or foam roller. After the paints have dried, place the layered picture with scotch tape on a thin transparent file folder. Spread it with glue, place it on the laptop and iron it with a rubber roller. Uncheck the file.

When the glue is dry, you need to paint on the background from light to dark and vice versa. At the end of the work, the laptop cover must be covered with a clear acrylic varnish with each layer dried.

Successful work result:

Before you get started, read the basic tips on how decoupage is done:

If you want to refresh your old, but, nevertheless, very beloved laptop, we suggest painting it in juicy and tasty colors! This will require paint, primer, varnish and your imagination. So let's get started!

To begin with, it is advisable to disassemble the unit. The surfaces that you will paint must be sanded and treated with any alcohol-containing liquid, then apply a primer and leave the parts in this form for a day. While the soil is drying, it's time to think about the design. Below are photos with original ideas on how to decorate a laptop.

And so, it's time to start painting. We spray a can of paint on our parts. To obtain a more saturated shade, you will have to apply several layers, while each new layer should be applied only after the previous one has dried, which is about a day. To make the surface of the laptop smooth and shiny, one more layer is needed - varnish. Now we leave our parts for 4 days so that they dry properly.

Hurray, it's done! You can assemble our laptop case and enjoy the result. These are such beautiful laptops that you can get on the way out using our tips.

Another way to color your laptop is to use a special airbrush tool. It is ideal for coloring not only cars, but also laptops, tablets and phones. This will require some skill and talent. In principle, the procedure will be almost the same: surface preparation, drawing, varnishing.

A more democratic option for drawing a picture is to use various improvised means, such as scotch tape and paper templates.

Also, many computer hardware stores sell wonderful designer vinyl decals. You can choose any taste and decorate your laptop.

Decoupage is another idea of how to decorate a laptop with your own hands. This is a special technique for decorating objects, which consists in gluing a picture or ornament onto the decorated object, followed by varnishing. Carrying out decoupage on a laptop is not a difficult task.

For this we need special napkins and decoupage glue. First of all, as usual, we prepare the surface: we clean it, wipe it with alcohol. Next, we apply a layer of paint from a spray can, wait for it to dry completely and use the drawing we have chosen with glue. Apply several layers of varnish on top. Ready!

To begin with, we select a picture and print it on ordinary office paper (the printer should not be inkjet, so that ink does not flow in the future). You can take a decoupage card or napkins with your favorite image.

Just in case, we spray the picture with acrylic spray varnish to give strength to the paints. It is better to do this in the corridor - all aerosol varnishes that I have come across smell terrible =)

We are waiting for the varnish to dry (just a few minutes). Layering the picture. I do this with scotch tape.

At the laptop we seal all the holes with masking tape, I still wrapped everything inside with cling film. You can, of course, make it even trickier - remove the cap from the laptop, but for this it would be nice to have the necessary skills for this =)

The surface of the laptop is degreased, I do this with alcohol wipes sold at the pharmacy.

Next, we cover our laptop with an aerosol acrylic primer. You can take and not aerosol, and apply it with a regular brush, and after it dries - sand it with fine sandpaper, but the aerosol will lie smoother and better.

Personally, I really liked the Crafts spray primer aerosol primer (it just stands in the photo).
We are waiting for the soil to dry. Then we take a textured paste or liquid acrylic primer and paint over the convex emblem.

I usually apply liquid primer or paste with a stiff-bristled brush and then smooth with a flat trowel. We are waiting for the soil to dry, by the way, it will dry longer than aerosol. Before proceeding with further work, you need to make sure that everything is really dry, otherwise the wet soil can present many unpleasant surprises in the future.
Next, we paint our laptop with white acrylic paint, so that the color of the picture remains bright and the colors are not distorted. I usually paint small surfaces with a small piece of sponge, dipping it in paint and shaking off the excess on a plastic plate. But for large surfaces, it is much more convenient to use a foam roller, first with a push with it, and then slightly touching it to smooth out all the irregularities that have arisen.

We are waiting for the paint to dry well. Apply another layer of paint if necessary.
Next, we put our layered image on the file.

We smear it with glue, apply it to the laptop and iron it well with a rubber roller.

We remove the file.

If you are using a decoupage card, then it would be nice to also go from above with a brush with glue, but the printout colors often "float", so for our peace of mind, let's go only along the edges of the picture. This time I used Art Patch glue from Hobby line. At the moment, this glue suits me more than others =).

We are waiting for the glue to dry.

And then reads the most interesting and difficult thing - painting on the background. There are a couple of painting principles - from light to dark and vice versa - from dark to light. Never try to paint the background right away - white spots will remain, and it will look unnatural. I dipped a piece of sponge in a light shade of gray-blue, and "prochpokal" part of the background with it. This will be the "base":

So, gradually adding darker shades and colors, we play with shadows:

And here's what I got:

We are waiting for all the paint to dry. It is very important that it dries out, otherwise it may peel off or begin to exfoliate later.
Next, we cover the work with several layers of acrylic varnish, with good drying of each layer, skin a little, and cover with a couple more layers. Optionally, decorate the edges of the laptop with monograms (in this case, I used a scrap stamp and antique gold acrylic paint).
The last one I like to finish is the matt sealant from Plaid (864).
