Those. with me 0 =))) In general, this project is designed primarily for beginners, but if you are interested and who is more experienced, I will only be glad!)

The first stage of the project has already started, but if you wish, you can join us at any stage of the project - the main thing is that at its end you have a full-fledged beautiful photo album that you would be proud of) For each stage, I am preparing an interesting article on the use of certain techniques for scrapbook - at the first stage it was information)

And we continue with you!)

And here's my second spread!

And now a few details)

Mandatory element this time there will be a large clamshell for 4-5 or more photos! I will tell you how to make such a little later) In the meantime, I would like to talk about such an integral part of any photo album as a substrate! And indeed, without them, nowhere - whether you are making an album without photos, or with them - the background is what gives any photos to your album a finished look and determines its rightful place)

I am often asked about the sizes of substrates - so, if photos are sewn to them, then the size will be calculated as a photo format + 5 mm on each of its sides (i.e. for a 10x15 cm photo, the size of the substrate will be 10.5x15.5 cm) - so there will be a neat frame around the photo, which emphasizes it favorably and generally gives it some completeness.

If you use hole punches / corners, then for the first time I advise you to practice on some unnecessary piece of paper =) The fact is that for each hole punch there will be its own distance that you need to retreat under the photo and, accordingly, you will have to make more of your substrate ( so, for my simplest corner hole punch, the substrate will be 1 cm larger on each side, and accordingly for a 10x15 cm photo I will make an 11x16 cm substrate)

There is another interesting option with substrates - using homemade corners and an angled hole punch. Here, as in the previous case, you need to calculate the margin with which you need to cut off the substrate, but in my opinion, this is one of the most interesting looking options for attaching a photo))

Each person determines the size of such a corner for himself, but I, for example, stopped at 5 cm for equal sides of the corner for a 10x15 cm photo and 4.5 cm for a 9x13 cm photo. The corners can be positioned as in my example - on two opposite sides, and it is possible for all four - at the corners of the photo, but in this case the corners should be smaller in size.

Now, briefly about what substrates are) The easiest option is standard single ones, designed for one photo.

But in order to fit two, three or more photographs in a small space, you will need a clamshell substrate. Such substrates are a huge help for any scrapbooker. So, they usually order me to fit 75 photos and more on 5 spreads of an album !!! Can you imagine what I would do without using such clamshells ??? Yes, I would not do anything))) And so, it's really possible to place up to 100 photos on 5-6 spreads, leaving also a small space for the decor itself.

Here are the basic clamshell layouts that I usually use in my albums. On 2 photos - I call them opener substrates. In order to do this, we simply measure the size of a standard single substrate for a photo + 2.5-3 cm for its base on which it will be mounted.

Moreover, such a backing can be attached both from the front side of the page

So with its edge location - with the opposite. Again, such an underlay can be either vertical or horizontal.

Such single substrates can be combined with each other, obtaining an interesting result) For example, in the photo three such substrates are taken, all held by one arrow-anchor and opening one after another!

Substrate for 3 photos:

Moreover, in the album you can turn these clamshells as you like - vertically, horizontally, turn them over so that they open in different directions, arrange such clamshells, getting interesting options ...

For birthday. It can be done with your own hands, while it will turn out to be original and bright. You need to start by preparing all the necessary items:

Ruler;
- blue and red scrapbooking paper;
- two sheets of white paper;
- double-sided adhesive tape;
- simple pencil;
- eraser;
- colour pencils;
- glue stick;
- curly scissors;
- simple scissors.

Now you can make a postcard:
1. Fold the blue sheet of scrapbooking paper in half;

2. On a red scrapbooking paper, draw a small square;

3. Cut out a square;

4. Cut the edges of the square with curly scissors;

5. Fold the square in half with the red side inward;

6. In the middle of the fold, mark a distance of two centimeters. Draw two parallel lines about three centimeters long;

7. Make cuts along the lines with scissors;

8. Peel back the resulting ledge;

9. Coat the entire square from the back side except for the protrusion with glue;

10. Stick the red square inside the card so that the fold line of the card and the fold line of the square coincide;

11. On a sheet of white paper, draw a cat with a gift;

12. Erase all pencil lines with an eraser;

13. Color in the drawing with colored pencils;
