The decision is very controversial, the fact is that this belt (leather and very high quality) is not very tightly fixed, and as it seemed to the author, the belt may fly off (which is already very dangerous for the device). Also, the dimensions of the player's cover are increasing, which will lead to the impossibility of using many cases. For the author, this technical solution is absolutely incomprehensible.

The manufacturing quality of the player is at the highest level. There are not even the slightest gaps or creaks, and the player has finally got a matte lid. But why it was necessary to change the wrist strap mount remains a mystery.

The author of this review rarely talks about complete headphones. But this time I decided to make an exception, the thing is that these headphones have a very not bad sound. Perhaps this is due to their design features. Headphones seem to play in two directions and thus create an interesting effect of presence. The stage is wide and pleasant. The glass is still slightly raised relative to the rest of the case. At the same time, the color of the rear panel is visible even from the front - thanks to the protruding metal "ribs". They are sharpened to a near shine at a 45 degree angle, which creates nice highlights. The edge seems highly sharp to the touch, but I could not scratch my hands with it. Yes, I tried it.

At the top, there is a screen lock button, which is now installed perpendicular to the body, and not at an angle “somewhere behind”. The right side of the player is completely empty, while on the left there are two separate volume control buttons - this time at a very slight angle. All these elements are made not of plastic, as in the touch 4, but of metal, moreover, the same color as the entire body of the rear panel.

At the bottom there is a headphone jack, a Lightning connector port and five round holes that release sound from a miniature speaker in the case. The 3.5mm jack and speaker are swapped this year. This did not affect the usability at all. The speaker holes are closed with a very dense mesh, and he himself, running ahead, does not shine at all with either volume or sound quality, but it will fit as a background tweeter for sounding toys. There is nothing to say about the synchronization port: I inserted the cord and drove off.

Okay, why pull, it's time to turn over. If everything is completely according to Feng Shui with the front, then something indescribable is happening behind. This is the most dramatic rear-panel redesign in iPod Touch history - and perhaps the most controversial.

The Apple logo and the name of the device are made in the same color as the body, but they clearly stand out: both protrude above the surface by a hundredth of a millimeter and have an almost "mirrored", exceptionally smooth surface, and to the touch is very similar to the panel of the previous generation of the touch player. The text at the bottom is in black paint, but it is practically invisible in the light at an angle.

The camera peephole hasn't just become visually larger. Now it naturally protrudes a good millimeter above the surface of the case. The decision is not the best, but it is clearly a forced one, if we take into account the dimensions of the player. The metal rim around the camera module is framed by the thinnest circles, which, even if you hurt yourself, cannot be seen with the naked eye. Two-thirds of the eye area is occupied by an opaque black film, and the remaining space is divided between the gray surface of the module and a very small lens in shades of blue.
