Of course, there are situations more difficult, where you have to sweat, and specifically. There, the text climbs into more complex and heterogeneous areas of the image. To do this, simply work in combination with all the tools that we have used here today. The process will be long and you will have to work on every piece. For example, see the image below.
Here the inscription goes to different folds and other areas. The top part is easy to make, but the bottom part is quite difficult. So experiment. First, remove the inscription on a uniform background using a fill, then go to the repair brush and stamp, while not forgetting to change the size and hardness.

Sometimes, great photos can easily be spoiled by some small detail. For example, an inscription that accidentally appeared in the background, but when viewed is so clearly conspicuous that it distracts from the main content of the image and thereby spoils the whole impression. And okay, if this is some kind of sign or something else with a decent content written. But it can happen that an obscene expression will also get into the frame. How to be? You will not show such a photo to friends, relatives, and even more so to the younger generation. But that's how I wanted it. Fortunately, today this problem is no longer insoluble, because with the help of special program Photoshope anyone can edit digital images as he pleases. How to do it?The easiest way
The easiest way to remove an inscription from a digitized photo is to paint over it with a brush with a pre-selected color. However, this option is applicable only in cases where the background for the inscription is a flat, smooth and one-color surface. For example, this is the board of the ship on which you made a trip around the world (dream like a dream!) And now, in order to impress your friends, you want to remove the name of the ship, entering your name instead.
So, the whole work will consist of two simple operations. First, you need to select the "Pipette" as a working tool. To do this, you will have to find the icon with the corresponding image on the toolbar and click on it with the left mouse button. Now, when you hover over the image, it will change into something very reminiscent of an eyedropper. Having placed its lower end on the main background, you should make a left click. As a result, in the tool palette, the main working color will change and take on the shade of the side of the ship.
To avoid the appearance of a lighter or darker spot in the place of the removed inscription, the “fence” of the color must be made from a point located as close as possible to the border of the letters. You can even do this operation several times in the course of painting, since with the same color, the saturation of the tone in different fragments of the treated area may be different.
For further actions, you need a brush. By selecting this tool, you need to set the appropriate size and softness. Now you can start painting the inscription. You need to do this in small strokes and at the same time constantly make sure that the superimposed strokes merge with the background. If at some point the strokes begin to catch your eye, you should adjust the working color. To do this, you will have to temporarily change the brush to an eyedropper in order to “take a sample” of the background closer to the fragment being processed.
Acting in this way, you can quickly get rid of unwanted inscriptions and even small images. Moreover, if proper diligence is shown, then the cleaned place will merge with the original background just perfectly, so that it will be impossible to detect the craft even with very close examination. In our example, it remains only to put your own in place of the deleted text, for which you can use a special tool, indicated on the corresponding panel with an icon with the letter “T”.
Removing an Overlay
Consider another option - suppose you want to make a montage by pasting your image into a photo with a view of some famous landmark. Or just want to use a picture found on the Internet. But as luck would have it, the picture is “decorated” by a translucent inscription superimposed on top of the image. It will not work to get rid of such a “watermark” by the method described above - here you will have to apply more subtle and time-consuming methods.
AT this case you will need tools such as Stamp or Healing Brush. The first is located on the panel under the icon in the form of a seal, the second is indicated by a picture in the form of a patch.
So, armed with a "stamp", you need to press the ALT key, without releasing it, move the mouse pointer as close as possible to the edge of the inscription, and click the left key. Now the mouse cursor must be placed directly on the piece of inscription located next to the sample just taken, and by pressing the left button, make short stroke-like movements. The mouse button does not need to be released. As you progress, you need to repeat the “sampling” procedure, choosing for this the fragments that are most suitable in color and illumination.
The use of a healing brush will simplify the work, but this is not always acceptable, since with a complex ornament of the drawing itself and its rich color scheme, this tool does not give a high-quality result. But it is convenient to resort to its help when the background is a relatively homogeneous surface. Otherwise, it is better to give preference to "Stamp". An important nuance is that in order to get the best possible result, you will have to use a stamp with the smallest values of diameter and transparency. 4. If you worked very neatly, then there will literally be no trace of the inscription on the photograph. But still, do not forget that the inscription on the photo is put for some specific purpose, for example, for the purpose of copyright protection. And even if you managed to completely remove the copyright mark, you will not get the rights to use the image by doing so.
Occasionally it happens that you really need a great thematic photo that you found on the Internet - but for some reason this photo is crossed out with a watermark in the form translucent text, reminding everyone of the copyright of the photo and preventing its illegal use. 1. If the main piece is a hefty intricate shape, it may be easier to highlight the background around it. Press Q to switch to swift mask editing mode, or use this option on the toolbar. With a coarse black brush, paint over the background that you are going to remove. You will see that the image is covered with a transparent red film - a protective mask.
2. If you inadvertently hit the rod fragment, set the color of the front plan and white and swipe the brush over the area from which you want to remove the mask. When the background is painted over, press Q again to return to normal mode. You will make sure that there is a selection around the main element.
3. There is another method. Sweep on the toolbar Magnetic Lasso Too (“Magnetic Lasso”). Click the mouse at any point on the silhouette of the object and move the cursor over the outline. If the element blends in color with the background, click on the object in difficult places so that the tool distinguishes shades. It is allowed to increase the value of Frequency ("Frequency") - the frequency of the arrangement of knots, in order to more accurately determine the shape of the object. To cancel a false step, press Backspace.
4. It is allowed to use another tool from the Lasso group - Lasso Tool. The accuracy of the selection will depend only on you - this tool does not have difficult settings. Hold down the left mouse button and circle the object.
5. The Pen tool is not easy to use, but with its help you can make very precise strokes. Click with the mouse at any point on the border between the object and the background and circle the rod fragment with a broken line of short segments.
6. After that, select the Direct Selection Tool from the toolbar and click on the stroke. Pick up the control node with the mouse and, moving it, change the silhouette of the selection. Reactivate the "Pen" and right-click on the stroke silhouette. Select the Make Selection command.
7. After you have selected the object with any of these tools, invert the selection with Ctrl+Shift+I and press Delete or Backspace to remove the background.
The need to remove from the image inscription can appear both when processing a picture with a mechanically stamped date, and when restoring a dilapidated scanned photo. For this purpose, Photoshop tools such as Clone Stamp, Patch or Spot Healing Brush are suitable.

1. Open the picture from inscription yu in Photoshop using the Open option of the File menu. If the letters or numbers that need to be removed from the image are located on a single-color, even background without noise and texture, you won’t need much effort. Applying the combination Shift + Ctrl + N, add a new layer on top of the picture and, using the Brush tool, paint over the signs with the background color.
2. In order not to make a mistake with the choice of shade, click on the example of the main color in the lower area of the tool palette. Hover your cursor over the part of the image next to inscription y, and click on it.
3. The Median filter can help to remove small inscriptions from multi-colored backgrounds. Make a copy of the image with the key combination Ctrl + J and apply a Median to the resulting layer, opening the settings using the Median option of the Noise group of the Filter menu. Adjust the filter radius so that the lines that make up inscription, disappeared. At the same time, the silhouettes of the rest of the drawing will be thoroughly blurred, but the initial version of the picture remains at your disposal, this can be corrected.
4. Applying the Hide All option of the Layer Mask group of the Layer menu, remove the results of using the filter under the mask. Zoom in and paint the mask in the label area with white.
5. If there is a suitable area in the picture that is allowed to close inscription or its fragment, apply the Patch Tool to the layer with a copy of the initial image. Turning on the Source option in the settings, circle the detected fragment and drag it onto the letters. If the border of the applied patch intersects with the lines that form inscription, the result will be similar to the spreading watercolor on the picture, because the patch in this area will adjust to the color of the font.
6. Photoshop CS5 allows you to try to remove inscription using the Spot Healing Brush tool. To use it, add a transparent layer to the file and, if the Content-Aware option is disabled in the tool settings, enable it. Using the Sample all layers option, paint over inscription selected brush on a new layer. In more early versions Photoshop's Spot Healing Brush tool doesn't consistently edit huge areas of an image correctly.
7. If a part of the inscription cannot be removed using other tools, turn on the Clone Stamp Tool, zoom in on the image and close inscription pixels copied from the surrounding areas of the image. Clone Stamp is smarter to use not on the initial image, but on the transparent layer above it. The Sample all layers option enabled in the tool settings will help you do this.
8. Find the area of the image, a fragment of which is allowed to cover the adjacent section of the inscription, and click on it while holding Alt on the keyboard. After releasing the button, paint over the letters. To get a good result on difficult backgrounds, work with a small diameter brush and often re-determine the source of cloning.
9. Save the corrected image for jpg file the Save As option of the File menu will help you.
Graphic editor Adobe Photoshop provides a charming opportunity to work with text. All inscriptions can be designed according to your own taste: choose the size, genre, font color, apply different results. 1. Create a brand new canvas in Photoshop, or open an existing image. Select the "Text" button on the toolbar or press the hot key [T] on the keyboard to create a horizontal inscription. To enter text vertically, select the Vertical Type tool, it is indicated as [?T].
2. By default, the Text tool creates a new layer on which the inscription will be entered. Also, when you select this tool, a text formatting panel appears. If we look at it from left to right, then the first button is [T] with two arrows, it changes the direction of the inscription. Further fields with drop-down lists follow, with their support it is possible to prefer: font genre, its attributes, size, anti-aliasing method. You can set the necessary parameters either before entering the text, or even later, but then you need to highlight your inscription.
3. To set options for aligning text on the canvas, use the following three line buttons. The editor provides for the possibility of aligning the inscription to the left and right, as well as to the center.
4. In order to prefer the font color, click the button in the form of a rectangle filled with some color. So you will open an additional window in which you can either prefer the desired shade on the palette, or set personal parameters in RGB, CMYK, HSB or Lab mode.
5. The button with the letter "T" above the arc gives the chance to prefer the text distortion method. Click on it to open a new dialog box. In the drop-down list of the "Genre" field, select the desired option for displaying the inscription: arch, arc, and so on, set the parameters for text distortion along the main coordinate axes.
6. It is also possible to apply to the text any results available for an ordinary image. Open the "Genres" tab and select the label design method that suits you, or set these settings independently by double-clicking on the layer name on the navigation panel with the left mouse button. In the window that opens, you can apply results such as shadow, glow, texture, embossing, and others.
