1. We get access to windows with administrator rights.

rename the file c: /windows/system32/sethc.exe to sethc.ex_
rename the file c: /windows/system32/cmd.exe to sethc.exe

In order to "force" the computer to boot not as usual (i.e. with hard disk), and from the device we need (in our case, from a USB flash drive), it is necessary to enable a certain setting in Bios computer.

To get into this very Bios, we must immediately after turning on the computer press a specific key on the keyboard (and press not once, but many, many times, until we see Bios on the screen).

This key is different on different computers and laptops:

• Also, Bios can often be called with the key F2(and on some laptops Fn + F2 ).
• Less commonly used keys Esc, F1, F6 other.

In general, immediately after you pressed the Power button on your computer or laptop, then do not wait until it starts. Windows boot, and immediately start pressing the key many times Delete on keyboard. After a few seconds (5-10), the screen should show Bios.

The main thing that anyone who needs to configure boot from a USB flash drive should know is: in BIOS (no matter how it looks for you), you need to find a section where the word is present Boot(from English "Download"). Going with the arrows on the keyboard to this section - put it in the first place in the list of boot devices USB stick.

In BIOS, a flash drive can be displayed with its own name (for example, Transcend), or as USB-HDD; there are other options. One thing is important: it must be selected as the first device from which the computer will boot.

Usually, a USB flash drive is "raised" to the first place using the arrows on the keyboard, or with the keys +/- or F5 / F6.

Having set the setting we need in BIOS, we must leave it, not forgetting to save the changes made. To do this, go to the section Exit(it is usually the very last one) - and there select the item “ Save and Exit”(“ Save and Exit ”). And then confirm once again that we are exiting by clicking “ Yes”.

That's all: if you did everything correctly, the computer will reboot and boot from the USB flash drive (press the Delete key again, or F2, or something else - no need!).

So, I created a bootable USB flash drive with a password reset program on another computer. I insert this flash drive into my computer and turn it on.

5. If you create a bootable disk (in the free version) through the Windows Password Recovery program, then you just have to press the button "Next" , and then "Burn" to start creating bootable media.

6. The process will begin and it will take a few minutes to notice.

7. As soon as the process of writing the bootable media is completed, a window will appear on the screen informing about the success of the procedure.

8. Now armed bootable media, you will need to connect it to the computer on which the password recovery will be performed, and then enter the BIOS and set the disk or USB flash drive as the main boot device.

9. If everything was done correctly, the following window will appear on the screen:

10. After waiting for the utility to finish loading, you will need to select a Windows disk on the screen, on which the password will be reset.

11. Select the account in which the password will be reset, and just below, select the appropriate action: delete the password, change the password, delete the administrator account, create a new administrator account.

12. In our example, we change Old Password to a new one, therefore, accordingly, in the next window of the program we will need to enter a new password twice.

13. After completing the procedure, you just need to restart your computer in normal mode... Ready!

Features of Windows Password Recovery:

• the actual disc itself (CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD + R, DVD-RW ...) or any blank USB flash drive of any capacity
• changing the boot order of your computer

The method and programs specified below are supplied "as is" - AS IS, are not responsible for POSSIBLE damage and inoperability. The author has used this method on several computers and so far there have been no problems.

1. Download BootPass

BootPass - boot disk (Windows 7PE x86).

The disk contains full-featured programs for resetting and editing Windows passwords, ransomware banner removal programs

Like most bootable discs, they are downloaded in ISO format.

Because a disc image in ISO format is already a standard and any program can write it, even standard ones. Windows tools 8.

Download BootPass from a torrent network (for example, http://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4487280).

You can download not all files, but only the necessary ones - the BootPass.iso file itself.

The rest are optional:

• Iso-Burner.exe is a very small program (646kB) for burning an ISO image to disc.
• Rufus.exe or WiNTBootic.exe to write ISO image to USB
• text files - for information and instructions

2. Burning BootPass.iso to disk

Now we write the downloaded BootPass.iso image to the optical CD-R disc W or USB.

2.1 By standard Windows 8 tools

This is very easy in Windows 8. With the right mouse button we call context menu and select "Burn disk image".

Remember to insert a blank disc.

2.2 Iso-Burner

If you downloaded this program as part of a torrent, then when you start it will appear Active window@ ISO Burner. Only 2 fields - specify the path to the ISO image, select a CD-RW or DVD-RW burner. Click "Burn ISO".

3. Change the computer boot order

There are 2 ways to change the boot order of your computer:

3.1 BIOS

The BIOS of any computer has options for choosing the sequence to boot the system. If these options are not automatically displayed when you turn on the computer, press the F2 or Del buttons - they may differ depending on the model and build of your BIOS.

In the BIOS, you do not need to go to the BOOT section and select the first bootable CD / DVD device in the Boot Sequence.

Save the settings and exit (SAVE AND EXIT)

3.2 without BIOS

Majority modern computers have the ability to assign boot order without going into BIOS. For this, a quick boot menu is used, which is called up by pressing a special key immediately after turning on the computer (for example, F10, F12 or even F8 - depending on the motherboard model).

Usually at boot BIOS itself prompts on the screen which key to press.

4. Boot Disk BootPass

The burned disc was inserted, the boot from CD / DVD was set, the drive is working properly, and then we will have such a window.

5. Verification
