A program for recovering a password for Windows 7. What to do if you forgot your password to enter your computer

If you suddenly forgot the password for your Windows account, then you have no choice but to look for a way to reset it or install a new operating system, which in my opinion is sheer madness in this case :) Now you can find a lot on the Internet different ways Reset passwords for Windows operating systems using the built-in boot tools of Windows itself, as well as using third-party special programs. Some methods are suitable for some versions of Windows, some for others, and some methods are too complicated for beginners. Earlier in one of the articles I showed one of the ways to reset the password using a bootable console program built on the basis of Linux, but all actions there must be performed in the form of commands on a black screen and for beginners it can be difficult.
In this article, I will show the simplest way to reset an account password in any version of Windows (I tried it even on Windows 10) using the Reset Windows Password boot program. The reset process is just 4 steps!

I want to warn you right away that if on the computer you used a Microsoft account to log in, and not a standard local one, then none of the programs will be able to reset its password, since the password of the account Microsoft records can only be changed on the company's website. That's why this way like all similar works only if you forgot the password for the standard local Windows account!

The program is bootable, that is, it cannot be simply installed on a computer as is usually done. The program will start from a disk or flash drive at the stage of computer startup. Those. the program must first be written to a disk or USB flash drive!

Creating a bootable disk / flash drive with the Reset Windows Password program and launching it

After the program is downloaded, you need to write it to a disk or USB flash drive. Instructions for recording a program in the form ISO file on a CD / DVD disc is, and by writing the program in ISO to a USB flash drive -.

Insofar as modern laptops can often be found without a disk drive for reading disks, then, I think, most people can use the way to write a program to a USB flash drive, especially since every computer owner has it.

After you write the program to a disk or USB flash drive, you need to run it. To do this, you need to restart the computer and configure your BIOS so that the computer boots not as usual from a hard disk, but from a recorded USB flash drive or CD / DVD disc.

In a separate article, I gave instructions on BIOS setup to boot the computer from a disk or flash drive, read it if you have difficulty loading the program:

Each computer may have its own peculiarity of configuring boot from a specific device, so it will not be possible to give clear recommendations ... But the article on the link above should help the majority.

When the program starts to run, you will see a window similar to loading normal Windows 7:

Working with the program

When boot program Reset Windows Password will start, in the first window you will need to configure the program.

First of all, we select the Russian language (1), then in the "Mode of operation" section we select the item "SAM - work with regular accounts" (2) and at the end under the inscription "What do you want to do?" select "Reset or change user password" (3). When everything is set up, click "Next" (4) at the bottom of the window.

The program will perform exactly the password reset (i.e., erasing it, resetting it to zero), and not replacing the old password with a new one!

In the next window, we can select the path to the "SAM" and "SYSTEM" folders to reset the password.

If you are using standard Windows, where nothing has been globally redone, then the paths do not need to be changed and they will already be set correctly:

C: \ Windows \ System32 \ Config \ SAM
C: \ Windows \ System32 \ Config \ SYSTEM

At stage 3, select in the window the Windows account for which we want to reset the password (1) and click "Next" (2).

At the last 4th stage, press the "Reset / Change" button:

You will be prompted to make a rollback file. With the help of this file, you can restore the system's ability to work in case of its "breakdown" after the program is running.

In general, the program does not go where it is not needed and does not make any serious changes in Windows, so it is easier not to create a rollback file by clicking "No" in this window.

A notification will appear stating that the account has been changed (the password has been reset) and you can close the program and check the changes. Just click "OK" (1) in the notification window and then "Exit" (2) in the program itself.

Now remove the disk / flash drive with the program from the computer and restart it. Windows should boot immediately without asking for a password!

As you can see, this method for resetting the password of accounts Windows entries is very simple and difficulties may arise, perhaps, only at the stage of loading the program from a USB flash drive or disk. But among all the methods for resetting a password, I did not find a single one that allows you to reset your password without booting from a special boot disk. Therefore, you still can't do without it and it's easier to deal with password reset than reinstalling Windows :))

Have a nice day and great mood! See you in the following articles;)

How to reset Windows 7 password using Password & Registry Editor. As you know, anything can happen in life, even the Windows password can be forgotten, and if this happens, then you can easily take and reset the password in Windows 7, the good news is that the whole procedure is not at all complicated.

If you forgot your password, and you have not Win 7, but XP or Win 8, then the option discussed below will also suit you. If you are reading these lines and do not have problems with forgotten password , then I recommend reading to the end and adopting the information received.

And who knows, you may need help pretty girl who forgot the login password. An excellent chance to visit and heroically return access to the PC to a lovely lady, but after…. And after that I think so clearly. Young woman VK is sitting, and you are smoking on the balcony! ;-)

Algorithm of actions:
- Create a bootable "USB" with a program in size only (4.12 MB).
- The procedure for resetting the password in Windows 7.

As it already became clear, you need a regular flash drive, pre-formatted in " FAT32". You can read how to format a USB flash drive in the article (Create a bootable USB flash drive with Windows).

Create a USB flash drive for password reset.

Next, we need to select the partition where Windows is located. In my case, it is “ / dev/ sda1 ". Opposite each section on the left you can see numbers (1 2 3 4). The desired section is selected with these numbers. That is, to choose my " / dev/ sda1 "And it is opposite one, I need to enter" 1 "And click" Enter»

As soon as you decide on the section and press "Enter", see what happens next! As you can see from the last line, the program itself found the section “ Windows/ System32/ Config"Good, that's the way it should be. This section contains the "SAM" file, which is what the program needs, there are "Hash" passwords.

Here we just click " Enter»

Then we look at what the program offers us. In this case, we are interested in (Password reset), that is, resetting passwords. This parameter is located under the number " 1 "So we enter 1 and, as usual, press" Enter»

The program now offers several options again. Namely open the editor system registry, by pressing " 9 "- this is not interesting to us at all!

We are interested in the first option, we enter the number "1" and Enter

At this stage, the most interesting part comes. The program brought us all the existing users in the system. Our task is to select the user who needs to reset the password.
(Well, you should have decided on this a long time ago!)

More details, what's here and how: Here we see in the column “ RID»A unique number for each user. Below I will explain why we need this " RID"Is needed. Further in the column "Username" all available users in the system are listed.

Admin: Actually, soon this user, and we will reset the password. In a collumn " Admin? »You can see what he represents in this case he has the rights of "Administrator".

User: Regular account without administrator rights.

4<8=8 AB@0 B>@ : This is our built-in administrator account. The inscription in this form, due to, the Russian-language version of Windows.

> ABL: This does not interest us at all, since this is a "Guest"

To reset a user's password, you need to enter it “ RID"Or his name if it is in English. We will be resetting the password using "RID" since it is easy to enter a name, and with "RID" there is a feature worth knowing about.

If you look at the penultimate line, you can see the following piece of text “ 0 x< RID> "This means that the user number must be entered with" 0 x". That is, RID Admin is like “ 03 e8 "Means you need to enter" 0 x03 e8 ».

I enter " 0 x03 e8 "And Enter

Now the program knows which user to work with and will offer us 4 options for action.

1 - Reset password, in other words, the user will not have a password.
2 - In this option, you can set a password for the user. Win 7 doesn't work.
3 - Promote a user to an administrator if he is not.
4 - If the user is blocked by the admin, you can unblock it.

In this case, we are interested in resetting the user's password, so we type “ 1 "And Enter

We see the message "" good !!! Password reset was successful. But it is too early to reboot and break into the system without a password, since you need to correctly exit the program and save all the changes!

Enter "Exclamation mark (!)" And again, as always, Enter

That's all, the password reset job is over. It remains only to press the key combination "CTRL + ALT + DELETE" the computer will go into reboot. Now you can log in as Admin without a password.

As you can see, in fact reset windows password not difficult and any user can perform these actions. I advise you to get yourself a USB flash drive with this program, just in case.

If you have any questions on this topic or additions, then write in the comments, I will be glad!

Reset Administrator password in Windows 10

Once again, I'm back to work on resetting account passwords, this time I'll talk about bootable flash drive with Lazesoft program Recovery Suite Home, after that I will continue to search for new ones effective ways to reset the administrator password.

The program does not have a Russian interface, but this is not a problem, especially in this article I will show and tell you everything with an example. Also, work will proceed without problems, as in an ordinary computer with BIOS and on a device with UEFI BIOS.

Creating a bootable USB drive from the Lazesoft Recovery Suite Home image

Well, let's go to the official website of the utility and download the version Home- the only free version - http://www.lazesoft.com/download.html.

Run the installation of the program and follow the installation instructions, everything is very easy there. Then launch the program icon.

In this window, we need to select the item "Disk Image & Clone".

Due to numerous requests from readers, I decided to write a detailed and simple instruction, how to reset the password for a user account in any version of Windows: 10, 8.1, 8, 7, XP.
So, you turned on the computer, and the system asks for a password to enter. You enter the user's password, but it does not match: an error “incorrect password” occurs. What to do if none of the passwords are suitable, but you need to log in to the system? There is a solution - the password can be reset using special program written to a bootable USB flash drive. Now I'll tell you how to create such a USB flash drive.

You will need to briefly use any others computer. To do this, you can contact a relative, friend, neighbor, maybe have a computer at work - I think this is not a problem now.

So, we sit down at another computer or laptop. We insert any USB flash drive into it:

Downloading free program to reset Windows passwords -. You can download it from the official website (or from my Yandex.Disk):

Run the downloaded file lsrmphdsetup.exe: Install the program as usual: i.e. we agree with everything and in all windows we press the button “ Next”. In the last installation window, press the button “ Finish”- the program will start automatically and its shortcut will be created on the desktop:

In the start window, press the button Burn Bootable CD / USB Disk Now!(“Burn bootable CD / USB disk right now"):

In the next window choose Windows version , which is installed on the computer where we will then reset the password. Not in the list Windows 10, but it's not scary: if you have “ten”, then choose here Windows 8.1 with your bit depth.

By the way, on one of the forums I saw a message that you can create a bootable USB flash drive with Windows 8.1 64-bit, and it is suitable for resetting the password on any version of Windows (I checked on Windows 10 64-bit and on Windows 7 64-bit - so and there is):

After you have chosen the required version of Windows - press the button “ Next”:

In the next window, put a marker on the item USB Flash and select the letter of our flash drive (it is already inserted into the computer). In my case, the letter of the flash drive: F.
Then we press the button “ Start”:

The program will download the necessary components from the Microsoft website for some time:

After that, the program will ask: “ Format USB drive now?"All files, if they are on the flash drive, will be deleted. We press the button “ Yes”:

Now we are waiting for the bootable USB flash drive to be created:

At the end of the process - press the button “ Finish”:

Everything! A bootable USB flash drive with a password reset program is ready. We take it out and carry it to our computer.

We insert the bootable USB flash drive into your computer. And now comes the most important, and at the same time, the most difficult moment for those who will do it for the first time. We need configure the computer boot from our flash drive .

Those who know how to boot a computer from a USB flash drive - you can immediately skip to the end of this article. For those who do not know how to boot from a USB flash drive, I will try to explain as clearly as possible:

============================================================================================

In order to "force" the computer to boot not as usual (i.e. with hard disk), and from the device we need (in our case, from a flash drive), it is necessary to enable a certain setting in Bios computer.

To get into this very Bios, we must immediately after turning on the computer press a specific key on the keyboard (and press not once, but many, many times, until we see Bios on the screen).

This key is different on different computers and laptops:

  • The most commonly used key is Delete(or Del ).
  • Also, Bios can often be called with the key F2(and on some laptops Fn + F2 ).
  • Less commonly used keys Esc, F1, F6 other.

In general, immediately after you pressed the Power button on your computer or laptop, do not wait until it starts. Windows boot, and immediately start pressing the key many times Delete on keyboard. After a few seconds (5-10), the screen should display Bios.

If nothing of the kind has appeared, but your Windows starts loading as usual, then we do not expect anything else: we restart our computer again (you can directly press the Reset button) and try to press another key many times - F2.

If you don't get into BIOS again, we restart the computer again and try to press the next key - Esc... Later F6 etc. But I hope you don't have to experiment that long: in the vast majority of cases, either the Delete key or F2 is triggered.

By the way, a hint about which key to load Bios usually flashes at the bottom of the screen immediately after turning on the computer. But for some reason, no one looks at it, or does not have time to consider it.

On different computers Bios different, and it looks different for everyone.

On my computer, for example, it is like this:

On another computer, it will be like this:

On the third computer, this is:
That is, I say this to the fact that it is almost impossible to write a separate instruction for each BIOS.

The main thing that anyone who needs to configure boot from a USB flash drive should know is: in BIOS (no matter how it looks for you), you need to find a section where the word is present Boot(from English "Download"). Going with the arrows on the keyboard to this section - put it in the first place in the list of boot devices USB stick.

In BIOS, a flash drive can be displayed with its own name (for example, Transcend), or as USB-HDD; there are other options. One thing is important: it must be selected as the first device from which the computer will boot.

Usually, a USB flash drive is "raised" to the first place using the arrows on the keyboard, or with the keys +/- or F5 / F6.

Having set the desired setting in Bios, we must leave it, not forgetting to save the changes made. To do this, go to the section Exit(it is usually the very last one) - and there select the item “ Save and Exit”(“ Save and Exit ”). And then confirm once again that we are exiting by clicking “ Yes”.

That's all: if you did everything correctly, the computer will reboot and boot from the USB flash drive (press the Delete key again, or F2, or something else - no need!).

Many do not even want to get involved with creating a bootable USB flash drive with any software, tk. they are afraid that they will still not be able to configure the computer to boot from it. I tried to describe this whole process of booting from a USB flash drive in as much detail as possible. If you have mastered this text, I hope it has become at least a little clearer and now you just have to practice.

===============================================================================================================

So, I created a bootable USB flash drive with a password reset program on another computer. I insert this flash drive into my computer and turn it on.

Immediately press the key many, many times Delete on keyboard. In a few seconds I find myself in Bios.

Using the arrows on the keyboard, I go to the section Boot(although in my BIOS you can work with a mouse - in old versions of BIOS it will not work like that).

Here, my first device is now HDD (ACHI PO: WDC WD50…):
I select this line using the arrow on the keyboard and press the key Enter... A list of devices from which you can boot opens. In my case, this is a hard drive and my flash drive (it is listed here two times). Raising to the first place in the list - USB stick(if there is a choice: USB or UEFI, then choose UEFI). We do this using the arrows on the keyboard, or with the keys +/- or F5 / F6:

Now the flash drive is in the first place in the list of boot devices:

Now we exit from here, saving the changes. To do this, move the arrow on the keyboard to last section Exit... Select the line Save Changes and Exit- press the key Enter:

Then choose Yes:

After a while, a menu opens, in which the key Enter we choose an item Lazesoft Live CD:

We are waiting while the download is in progress:

In the next window, check that the item is selected Reset Windows Password("Reset Windows password") and press the button Next:

A window will pop up with a message about the non-commercial use of the program - click Yes:

Click again Next:

In the next window highlight the username whose password will be reset and click Next:

Click on the button RESET / UNLOCK:

The password was successfully reset - click OK... Then Finish:

We go to “ Start”And click Reboot Computer("To restart a computer"):

Push OK:

After the computer restarts, we can login to windows without password!
