But even here, at first glance, everything is quite similar - tasks, contacts, notes. But already on the second, everything turns out to be more complicated - some programs are very easy to use, others will have to be dealt with, somewhere operations are performed in one click, and in other applications, to achieve the same result, you will have to perform several actions. Some solutions allow you to simply store all the diverse information (tasks, contacts, etc.) in one place, so that you can quickly find it all later. Others, in addition to this, will also allow you to effectively plan your day or even carry out long-term planning (here you should not confuse ordinary work with tasks with full planning - these are completely different things). And, finally, some organizers are modest and unassuming, others simply amaze with their showiness and splendor. So, frankly, there is plenty to choose from.

The "Diary" module provides management of appointments in the mode of one day, week, month or year. The general data structure for creating appointments is exactly the same as for tasks. But after creating a meeting, you can move the mouse over the time and change their duration (also with the mouse), which greatly simplifies the scheduling. Even the title of the meeting can be changed without opening the meeting editing window - in general, everything is like in the best English-language planners. So this program can be considered as a complete tool for planning working hours. The Mail module is a fully functional mail client that supports the POP3 and IMAP protocols. In order to simplify the filling of the contact database with a self-configured list of fields, it is possible to use templates (the "Templates" button in the contact editing window), which is very convenient, but available only in the Pro version. Contacts with a mobile phone, email address and web page are marked with special icons and are immediately identified among other records. By clicking on the corresponding icons, you can call a contact, send a letter or switch to his web page. Contacts can be viewed without opening the corresponding windows by clicking once on the icon in the form of double arrows (this icon is located on the right of the entry). It is possible to import contacts (as well as calendar, notes and tasks) from text files in CSV and TXT formats (the "File"> "Import" command).

The password storage module is designed to store registration information, passwords, logins, account numbers, etc. The developers also recommend using this module as a bookmark manager for quick access to URLs.

National holidays appear as events in the organizer - however, the program knows only about US national holidays, it seems that it is recommended to create Russian ones yourself. Tasks represent a list of tasks and are displayed in the list one after another, regardless of their timing. For each task, a start date and finish date, category and percentage of completion are indicated. You can also set a priority for the task, a reminder method and add detailed description(a kind of sticky note with normal formatting). Any task can be performed both once and periodically - daily, after a certain number of days, weekly, monthly, annually. It is worth noting that tasks do not have an exact timing.

The "Calendar" module allows you to work with personal time-bound events (these are not tasks that are not shown in the calendar). These events can be displayed for one day, work week, regular week, month and year. In general, it is convenient to work with events - they are created double click, the duration of any of the events can be increased with the mouse, it is just as easy to move events from one time to another. You can even change the title of an event without opening the corresponding window. So this solution is quite suitable for full-fledged work planning.

All elements supported in the program (notes, contacts, etc.) are records in their classical form (we can say that they are about the same as in any DBMS - in the simplest case, for example, in Microsoft Access). This leaves a certain imprint on the process of working with elements that cannot be quickly created and edited, and you have to perform more manipulations to get the result than in other solutions. In the end, though, everything turns out to be clearly classified and can be quickly found. We didn't really like this nuance, since the author, due to the peculiarities of his temperament, always needs a quick result. But in general, this is, of course, a matter of taste, because everything else (that is, the quality of the program and its functionality) is at its best. Notes in the program are plain text without formatting (by default) or with simple formatting (the text formatting option is switched by the corresponding buttons in the note creation window). Note text can be entered, pasted from the clipboard, or dragged from other documents with the mouse.

Contacts are of two types - persons (for personal use, they can be just friends and acquaintances; for corporate use, the company's clients) and enterprises (that is, the customer base of legal entities). Each contact type has its own list of fields. For example, in the case of persons, this will be a basic set of data (last name, first name, etc.) and an additional one. Additional data is divided into seven tabs: "Communication means" (phone, ICQ, e-mail, pager, etc.), "Personal data" (birthday, hobbies, etc.), "Additional info", etc. List of fields on each of the tabs is strictly fixed. In reality, however, this fixed list of fields can be corrected by adding missing fields (Administration> Customize Fields). In addition, the person can have a photo added. To view data about a specific person, you do not need to open her card (that is, the editing window) - you just need to click on the corresponding record. To speed up the search for the desired contact, you can filter contacts by gender. It is easy to call any contact immediately (including by dialing a phone number via Skype), send a letter or go to his web page. It is possible to import contacts from address books of email programs via a CSV file and synchronize Exiland Assistant contacts with Microsoft Outlook (menu item "File"> "Import / Export"> "Synchronize contacts with Microsoft Outlook"). Links allow you to store useful Internet addresses with their brief annotations and load the corresponding sites with one click in the default browser on your computer. Tasks, like other objects, can be grouped by purpose - for example, personal, work, etc. Each task contains a name, the date when it is necessary to complete this task, the date and time of the reminder, the degree of importance of the task, the status of completion, the amount of work in hours, days, etc. A reminder can be set periodically (for example, every five days or every 30 minutes) and select a reminder method (unobtrusive blinking of the icon in the SysTray area near the clock or a pop-up window with a reminder), sound for routine and important tasks, and the type of animation in SysTray. Events are understood as Russian holidays and all sorts of events of persons (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.), the approach of which the program can also carefully remind. As for the calendar-diary and the scheduler, such objects, in spite of the fact that Exiland Assistant is positioned by the developers as a solution that includes an electronic diary with a convenient task scheduler, are basically absent in the program. Yes, there are tasks with a built-in reminder, but not a scheduler. The only thing that is implemented in this sense is the ability to filter tasks, for example, you can enable displaying only today's tasks, tomorrow's tasks, etc. But nothing more - there is no question of any planning, that is, a simple and convenient mechanism for moving tasks in time on a timeline and changing their duration.

Notes are created in the built-in text editor, in which the text can be formatted as desired (even the insertion of tables, the use of superscript / subscript characters, etc.) and supplemented with images. It is possible to copy text into a work note from the clipboard or drag it from another application. Moreover, in the entered text, the spelling is automatically checked, and misspelled words are underlined. It is possible to import notes from files in TXT and RTF formats (command "Tools"> "Import").

Information about each of the contacts is stored in separate fields and, for convenience, is divided into six tabs. Basic information is entered on the first three tabs: "General" (the most frequently used fields), "Home" (detailed information about the person) and "Work" (detailed information about the organization in which he works). In addition, there are also tabs "Comment" (any text notes), "All fields" (summarized information on all fields for the current contact) and "Alert" (arbitrary notification regarding a contact). Let's select additional custom fields from the list. To simplify the search for the desired contact in a large database, there is a function of selecting a contact by the first letter in the name of the contact. If you wish, you can call the selected contact, send a letter to his e-mail box through the installed mail client or go to his web page. It is possible to import contacts from TXT and CSV files. The password storage module allows you to use the organizer to remember passwords, serial numbers, accounts, credit card details, etc., access to this folder can be password protected.

Cards are a special type of document with an arbitrary structure, which may contain a certain set of fields, a comment in the form of a text document, and an alert. We, frankly, could not guess for what information this type of document would be useful. Events mean holidays, and the program, when an event occurs, is able not only to remind about it, but, if necessary, also launch an external application.

Tasks have all the capabilities of events and additionally have a number of additional fields, such as the percentage of the task completed, the executor, the priority, the status of the task and the date of its completion, you can also specify the start and end time of execution. As well as for events, it is allowed to set an advance notification for tasks, the latter can be done through the Chameleon Clock program, if it is installed on the computer, since WinOrganizer is able to switch notifications to it.

You can also work with tasks through the "Today" module, which presents in this decision a diary calendar for displaying all tasks and events in one place. To call the "Today" module, use the "Service"> "Today" command or click on the "Today" button located in the lower left corner of the main window. This module can display data in two modes: "Calendar" (command "View"> "Calendar") and "Scheduler" ("View"> "Day" / "Week" / "Month"). When working in any of the modes, on the left there is a navigation panel with a calendar for the current month and buttons for switching modes, on the right there are scheduled tasks. In the scheduler mode, a detailed picture of the download is displayed not only on a specific day, but also on a weekly and monthly basis. As for the planning process itself - that is, creating tasks and events, moving them according to the work schedule, changing their duration, etc., in this module you can only adjust existing tasks, and then to a very limited extent (say, change the time task will fail). Information in contacts is stored traditionally - in separate fields, for convenience it is divided into four tabs: "General", "Personal", "Work", "Notes". Each tab contains a set of fields that allow you to store detailed information about a person. In addition to standard fields, there are fields, the type of which can be set independently by choosing from the list. There is functionality for automatically dialing a contact's number, generating a letter to a contact and opening a website associated with it. It is possible to import contacts from CSV files ("File"> "Import").

As for bookmarks, you can not only store them, but also open them in the built-in browser (of course, when connected to the Internet) and save the viewed links on the disk, which is quite slow.

To work with tasks, Info Angel has a "Calendar" module, which is a regular diary that will help you create a schedule for any day of the week, as well as set reminders of important events. You can call the calendar from the "Tools"> "Calendar" menu. In the left upper corner the diary contains a calendar for the current month, in which a date is selected - while in the list on the right, all events scheduled for that day are displayed. Tasks can be one-time and periodic, which is regulated through the "Repetition" switch. Any event can be easily assigned a reminder ( sound signal and opening a pop-up window), such entries are marked with a special icon in the list. Tasks can be easily moved from place to place with the mouse, and the size of the recording, depending on the duration of the event, changes by usual stretching / compression. However, viewing tasks is possible only for a specific day - that is, you will not be able to see, for example, a picture of the weekly load.

There is a time tape under the working field. Notes (by the way, like any other type of supported objects) are created through the context menu called in the main window, or by clicking on the program icon in the system tray. The text of an open note can not only be entered, but also copied through the clipboard or dragged from another application. Formatting is supported, but at a very minimal level, but you can choose different icons for different notes. Any note can be easily turned into an editable sticky piece of paper on the Windows desktop by enabling the "Show on Windows desktop" checkbox in the note properties.

The data entered for contacts is divided into two tabs: "Properties" and "Notes". The first tab contains a typical minimal set of contact information, supplemented by "extremely relevant" information such as the color of the clothes and a schematic (in the form of an icon) image of the object's appearance. Any text with formatting is entered into the text of a note to a contact. It is possible to import contacts from Outlook and export contacts to a Word document.

As for tasks, calls, meetings and events, all these types of objects are created in the same way, and they store approximately the same information. For any of the named types of objects, it is allowed to indicate the beginning and end, duration, priority and the need for a reminder. Any of the objects of this plan can be performed once or at some frequency - daily, weekly, annually, annually on a strictly specified date, after a certain interval. In addition, objects are allowed to be painted in different colors and supplemented with text notes.

As for the calendar-diary and planner, as a replacement for them, iChronos has a timeline that automatically displays all tasks, appointments and similar events for the day, week or month. This makes it easy to identify overlapping events and adjust plans. It is not difficult to do this right on the tape by squeezing / stretching some of the events with the mouse and / or moving them in time. So the program can be used as a planning tool. True, here it is worth noting the immediately striking problem of choosing the right day, since there is no calendar with dates on the tape, as in the entire main window. Alas, this, in our opinion, is where all the advantages of this organizer end, since working with it is extremely inconvenient and tedious - first of all, due to its unconventional nature (as a result, every little thing is not done quite the way it is usually accepted). There are seven such tabs - "Contacts", "Notes", "Mail", "Diary", "Sticky sheet", "Chat" and "Options".

Notes here mean arbitrary text formatted in the simplest way - without pictures. This text is either typed manually or copied through the clipboard. Any note can be attached to the desktop as a sticky sheet by selecting the "Attach to Screen" command from the context menu on an open note.

The contacts provide a minimum set of fields with data and the presence of a photo. In the general list of contacts, next to the title of a contact, there may be icons (the picture depends on the selected cover), which indicate that this contact has a photo, www-address, e-mail and / or phone number. You can use the alphabet to quickly find the desired contact.

"Diary" is designed to store tasks for the current day. There are two types of tasks - with a specific execution time and without it - those tasks that were created without specifying the exact time are always placed at the very beginning of the list of tasks. It's easy to set a reminder for any task. The task can be either one-time or periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) and be completed or not yet. There are no possibilities for quickly changing the start time and duration of tasks in this program.

Tasks can also be viewed through the "Today" module, which can be loaded by clicking on the command of the same name in the command menu - in this case, the tasks are displayed together with the next Russian holidays. To be honest, we did not see any sense in this section (at least in such a modification).

As for the "Mail" and "Chat" modules, the usefulness of these modules, given the level of their functionality, seems doubtful to us.

Conclusion

We stopped at several of the most popular personal organizers with a Russian-language interface. At the same time, we limited ourselves to only the very minimum of information about each and we are well aware that the description, for example, of such rather serious tools as EssentialPIM, in our presentation turned out to be very modest. However, we did not set ourselves the task of considering all the capabilities of the applications, but limited ourselves to basic functions. As a conclusion, I would like to note that any personal organizer will greatly simplify the process of managing contacts, notes and tasks. But which one to choose is a question. If the opportunity to impress your colleagues is in the first place for you, then, no doubt, you should pay attention to the programs iChronos and AVS-Organizer - success will be guaranteed. Although, in terms of ease of use, they are noticeably lagging behind any other of the considered solutions. And the color design of these unconventional organizers, in our opinion, is not very successful - therefore, users who have to work at a computer for many hours will find it difficult to apply such solutions due to excessive eye fatigue. Effectiveness is spectacular, but there is a parameter that is much more important - this is the functionality of the program. Here EssentialPIM Pro comes in first place (see table). This multifunctional application will provide not only convenient work with contacts, notes and tasks, but will also allow you to effectively schedule appointments in the calendar and work with mail quite normally. Moreover, this organizer also turns out to be the most reasonably planned in terms of the efficiency of the operations performed - that is, many actions in it are performed through a smaller number of operations. But the worst of all from the standpoint of ergonomics is the Exiland Assistant program, although the capabilities of this product are also impressive. Moreover, this is the only one among the solutions considered that can be used to maintain not only ordinary contacts, but even very large customer bases and bases of enterprises, which play the role of a kind of contacts here. In addition, this solution can be installed on multiple user machines while using a single database. The Info Angel program claims to be the easiest to learn and use solution, the developers of which settled on the minimum functionality in terms of managing contacts, notes and tasks and did not burden their brainchild with any excesses. But you can start working with the program after three minutes of acquaintance - and no problems will arise. As for the C-Organizer product, it approaches EssentialPIM in its capabilities (with a lag, nevertheless, by a couple of steps), and WinOrganizer is a little more functional than Info Angel.

Organizers contribute to the planning of time. Generally speaking about this area software, it should be noted that they serve not only for drawing up a daily routine, but also for storing data. It is difficult for a person to keep in his head, or in a disordered form, all the necessary information that should be at hand.

This review includes organizer programs of varying complexity. Naturally, in modern realities, it is not enough to require traditional functionality from this kind of software: the presence of a calendar, an address book, a notebook. No less important aspects- mobility, the ability to synchronize with portable devices. In general, attention will be paid to the following aspects:

  • Convenience of the interface: organizer is the kind of software where the interface plays one of the most important roles, especially in terms of the speed of access to desired functions... Also, attention will be paid to hotkeys.
  • Tasks and Calendar: creating tasks, to-do lists, categories, subtasks, calendar options when planning events (creating events).

LeaderTask

According to the statistics provided by the developers, LeaderTask is used by employees of well-known organizations - about 1,500 companies. This fact makes us wonder to what extent LeaderTask is an organizer and how strong it is in project management. Again, among the declared functions, project management is present, which is very curious.

In the organizer, you can create both tasks and subtasks, attach notes and sub-notes to them. It should be noted that the tree-like structure of the list is very convenient - thanks to this, navigation in the task list is not difficult. In task properties, you can specify deadlines, assign it to a project, select a category / shortcuts and assign an assignee (from the LeaderTask contact list), attach a file. In addition, in the due date settings, you can set the task repetition mode.

The note editor is not very functional - despite the fact that this tool is one of the most important in the organizer, the formatting bar should probably have been implemented differently.

Notifications are displayed when the status changes or a task is created - in the form of a pop-up window with a sound effect. In organizer settings you can change appearance, notification sound, specify the repetition interval. However, you cannot configure the notification method: say, SMS or email.

The LeaderTask address book is quite traditional in its structure, if we compare it, for example, with Outlook. When adding a new contact, the following fields are filled in: photo, personal information, home address, initials, place of work and others. The methods of communication are also indicated - phone, website, email and messenger. You can attach notes and files for additional information. Contacts are allowed to group, assign several tags at the same time.

Coming back to the above. A useful addition is found in LeaderTask - projects. Projects help to combine several tasks, and they can also help you to establish joint work with colleagues. Almost all actions with project tasks are available to all participants, except that the customer can change the executor, and the executor can change the status. It is quite possible that not all users will find this toolkit appropriate in the organizer, but at least collaboration in the organizer is a big plus.

It should be added to the above that LeaderTask synchronizes data with the server. Previously, in the settings of the organizer, you need to enter user credentials, as well as specify the update interval.

LeaderTask is available as programs for Android, iPad, iPhone. In addition to such inalienable functions as synchronization, work with tasks and contacts, search - there are pleasant additions in mobile applications: voice input, work with GPS and others.

The LeaderTask database can be password protected, there is no separate access restriction to sections. Data encryption, although it was mentioned by the developers, could not be found in the form of any settings. Speaking of drawbacks - there is no hotkey configuration available. This is an oversight, because creating new tasks, events, or at least adding contacts to the address book without keyboard "hotkeys" quickly gets boring. And one more negative point- the interface, which consists of three columns, is not too "agile". Unfortunately, the View menu does not help the situation.

C-Organizer

The developers describe C-Organizer as a personal organizer, but the description claims to support shared network access. The program integrates with web services, has a convenient scheduler available, notebook, a password manager and other necessary tools.

The interface of C-Organizer is strikingly different from LeaderTask, attracting by its compactness and pleasant design. Among the impressive list of available localizations, there is the Russian language. The buttons on the toolbar, in the best traditions of desktop applications, are customizable, the columns are hidden, freeing up the workspace; it is possible to switch the menu to Ribbon (ribbon in the style of Office 2007 and higher) In a word, for these convenience the user will be more than enough.

It is convenient to manage the organizer using hotkeys assigned to the main C-Organizer commands. There are tooltips, but there was no separate section with parameters that can be changed, as well as there are no global keyboard shortcuts.

When creating a new task, in the properties you can set the priority, recurrence, add a category, percentage of completion and enable a reminder. The "Description" tab contains a note editor containing all the necessary formatting options. You can also attach a file to any task.

When creating a task, the user cannot specify the executor, despite the declared ability to work together over the network. There are no subtasks or sub-notes. However, to-do can be combined into global lists and groups.

In the calendar, by analogy with tasks, you can create appointments. At the same time, both are at hand. Appointments that last all day are located at the top of the calendar. Events are used to indicate holidays and dates - notifications are also configured for them.

Any entry can be placed on the Desktop ("Entries - Open as a sticker"), an alert can be activated in conjunction with an action (for example, launching an application or restarting).

The possibilities of the address book are standard for the organizer, among the distinctive features are vCard support and the creation of templates. This makes it easier to add contacts to the address book. All contacts can be combined into groups, for example, in order to send messages or email alerts.

In C-Organizer, unlike the previous program in the overview, there are no obvious signs of a design system, however, several users can work with one database at the same time, and several users can edit the same record.

The organizer supports mobile devices, but, alas, the list includes only Pocket PC and Palm (synchronization of calendar, tasks, contacts and notes). However, despite ignoring Android and iOS, the calendar and tasks are synchronized with Google Calendar and Google Tasks, respectively.

C-Organizer supports password protection, encryption. You can deny access ("Service → Password Protection ...") to any section of the organizer. By the way, the organizer is convenient to use as a password manager, with the ability to generate new ones.

AM Notebook

AM Notebook is a classic desktop organizer with four main tools: Notes, Tasks (Todo), Calendar (Calendar) and Address Book (Contacts).

AM Notebook interface supports tabs. It seems to be a small addition, but it becomes more comfortable to work. In the case of AM Notebook, the nuance is as follows: tabs are available only in notes and in the calendar, but in this case, independently of each other.

You can change the interface language in the settings, there is Russian localization, albeit with obvious flaws in the translation. For the main commands, hotkey tips are provided; there is no separate menu section with their configuration.

Now more about creating notes. Obviously, this is one of the main features of AM Notebook, which can be called a notebook with additional organizer functions. In addition to working with text, it is possible to create tables (Spreadsheets) with support for formulas / functions, as well as diagrams. The text editor allows you to add tables, images, check spelling (you can connect the Russian language by adding a dictionary in * .dic format from MS Office). The tabular module allows you to work with a limited number of formulas - but this is more than enough for simple calculations. Diagrams and graphs are available in the PRO version of the program.

Tasks (Todo) are created in "Plans". In the properties, you can specify the group, priority, set the percentage of completion (the completion scale is displayed in the list of tasks, which is very clear), set up a reminder. Tasks are also combined into groups.

All reminders can be displayed in a single list - it is convenient to turn off unnecessary reminders without going into each section. There is an alarm clock.

The same tasks are created in the Calendar, but they have nothing to do with the "Plans" section (due to translation inaccuracies). If the user checks the option "Every day" (localization error, you need: "All day"), the task is moved up the calendar. In general, the functionality of the calendar is very modest, but this drawback is partially compensated by the presence of display modes - by day, week, month, etc.

The address book adheres to the same minimalism, there is no way to combine contacts into a group or, for example, add a photo. You can enter information about the contact, specify the methods of communication, add a note. However, the purpose of some fields is unclear - in the "Birthday" tab there are 5 columns for entering a name and the same number of dates.

Alas, despite strengths AM Notebook, there were some noticeable flaws. Aspects such as data security and privacy are overlooked. For the safety of personal, you cannot set a password, encrypt data. As a result, you can rely on the organizer, being sure that the data will not fall into the hands of an intruder.

AM Notebook supports mobile devices, sync is not available. The only safeguard against information loss available in AM Notebook is to back up your data.

WinOrganizer

WinOrganizer is one of the most functional organizers designed for both personal and collective use. It includes a scheduler, notebook and address books, a password manager.

The program window is divided into two columns; on the left, the contents of the organizer are displayed in the form of a hierarchy. WinOrganizer does not bind the user to a specific structure: you can nest any other data type in one data type, and the nesting can be deeper than two levels.

You can use the Today module to view the to-do list, agenda items, and other upcoming events. This is a convenient view by day, week, month, with the ability to print and select a template for the report.

Module "Today"

In the properties, when creating a task, an impressive number of options are presented, including advanced notification settings: the interval of reminders, sound settings, the behavior of the program when the notification expires, and the launch of an action. Tasks can be sorted by criteria such as priority, status, executor.

Alerts are assigned not only to events, but also to WinOrganizer data types, up to contacts and passwords.

The address book has standard set fields. It should be noted that the fields can be displayed in a single list. Columns in the address book are configured, which is convenient for displaying only the most necessary information about people. Contacts can only be synchronized with PocketPC.

The program includes a password manager. The set of features is standard, among them there are options "Hide password while typing" and a password generator. In WinOrganizer, by the way, you can restrict access to any document ("Document Properties - Password Protection").

As already mentioned, several users can work in the organizer at the same time, including jointly editing notes and other records. The notebook supports import / export in Word and WordPad (RTF), works with tables, images, there is a Russian spelling checker. Synchronization is carried out via the GSDataServer database server.

Diary from Enot

Ultimately simple program, in which you cannot create notes, there is no address book and most of the main components of the organizer, there are only appointments and reminders. Diary from Enot syncs with Google Calendar, so this lightweight organizer can be thought of as a lightweight desktop version of the well-known service. However, it should be noted that Google Calendar provides many more options than this organizer. Here you cannot create multiple calendars, configure access, publish a schedule on the Internet, not to mention the fact that the web interface provides several convenient calendar display modes. In Diary from Enot, the developers seem to have limited functionality on purpose.

The interface is intuitive; to add a meeting or a reminder, you need to click on the date and add information in the appeared sidebar, which can then be easily collapsed. Days that contain events in the list are marked in bold.

Thus, using the scheduler is useful only if you want to simplify the organization of events as much as possible: literally - open, add a reminder, minimize the window and do other things. If we talk about the advantages, then these include: a simple Russian-language interface, free. If we evaluate Diary as a full-fledged organizer, it will be a continuous series of missing functions.

Calendarscope

Organizer designed especially for planning events, holidays, memorable dates. Here is a calendar in several display options - by day, week, month and year. You can also change the gradation of the timeline.

There are only three types of items - event, recurring event, and task. The list of events and tasks can be opened in separate window(Event list / Tasks in the View menu). The event contains the location, priority, start / end date, category - one or more. Next to the Priority column, you can set up a context marked with a specific color.

Reminders are available for all types of events, but you cannot set up a separate notification without some kind of binding.

To synchronize with the calendar, the developers suggest using their own HandySync product. Thanks to this, it is possible to synchronize Calendarscope with Pocket PC, Apple iPhone, Android, RIM Blackberry and other devices. The only "but": HandySync is also a paid program.
