This fact makes us wonder to what extent LeaderTask is an organizer and how strong it is in project management. In the organizer, you can create both tasks and subtasks, attach notes and subnotes to them. It should be noted that the tree-like structure of the list is very convenient - thanks to this, navigation in the list of tasks is not difficult. In the task properties, you can specify deadlines, assign it to a project, select a category / labels and assign an executor (from the LeaderTask contact list), attach a file. In addition, in the due dates settings, you can set the task repetition mode.

The note editor is not very functional - despite the fact that this tool is one of the most important in the organizer, the formatting panel should probably have been implemented differently.

Notifications are displayed when a status is changed or a task is created - in the form of a pop-up window with a sound effect. In the organizer settings, you can change the appearance, notification sound, specify the repetition interval. However, you cannot configure the notification method: say, SMS or email.

The LeaderTask address book is quite traditional in its design, if we compare it, for example, with Outlook. When adding a new contact, the fields are filled in: photo, personal information, home address, initials, place of work, and others. Communication methods are also indicated - phone, website, email and instant messenger. As additional information You can attach notes and files. Contacts can be grouped, assigned several labels at the same time.

Returning to the above. LeaderTask contains a useful addition - projects. Projects help to combine several tasks, and they can also be used to establish collaboration with colleagues. Almost all actions with project tasks are available to all participants, except that the customer can change the contractor, and the contractor can change the status. It is possible that not all users will find this tool appropriate in the organizer, but at least the collaboration in the organizer is a big plus.

It should be added to the above that LeaderTask synchronizes data with the server. First, in the organizer settings, you need to enter the user's credentials, as well as specify the refresh interval.

The developers describe C-Organizer as a personal organizer, but the description claims support for network sharing. The program integrates with web services, has a convenient scheduler, notebook, password manager and other necessary tools.

The interface of C-Organizer is strikingly different from LeaderTask, attracting with its compactness and pleasant design. Among the impressive list of available localizations, there is Russian. Buttons on the toolbar, in the best traditions of desktop applications, are customizable, columns are hidden, freeing up workspace; it is possible to switch the menu to Ribbon (a ribbon in the style of Office 2007 and higher) In a word, for these conveniences, the user will have more than enough.

It is convenient to manage the organizer using the hotkeys assigned to the main C-Organizer commands. There are tooltips, but there is no separate section with parameters that can be changed, just as there are no global keyboard shortcuts.

When creating a new task, in the properties you can set the priority, repeatability, add a category, percentage of completion and enable a reminder. In the "Description" tab there is a note editor containing all the necessary formatting options. You can also attach a file to any task.

When creating a task, the user cannot specify the performer, despite the declared possibility joint work over the network. There are no subtasks and subnotes. However, to-dos can be combined into global lists and groups.

In the calendar, by analogy with tasks, you can create appointments. At the same time, both are at hand. Appointments that last all day are located at the top of the calendar. Events are intended for specifying holidays and dates - notifications are also configured for them.

In C-Organizer, unlike the previous program in the review, there are no obvious signs of a project system, however, several users can work with one database at the same time, and several users can edit the same record.

The organizer supports mobile devices, but, alas, the list includes only Pocket PC and Palm (synchronization of the calendar, tasks, contacts and notes). However, despite ignoring Android and iOS, the calendar and tasks are synchronized with Google Calendar and Google Tasks, respectively.

C-Organizer supports password protection, encryption. You can deny access (“Tools → Password protection…”) to any section of the organizer. By the way, the organizer is convenient to use as a password manager, with the ability to generate new ones.

AM Notebook

AM Notebook is a classic desktop organizer with four main tools: notes (Notes), tasks (Todo), calendar (Calendar) and address book (Contacts).

The AM Notebook interface is tabbed. It seems to be a small addition, but it becomes more comfortable to work. In the case of AM Notebook, the nuance is as follows: tabs are available only in notes and in the calendar, but in this case, independently of each other.

You can change the interface language in the settings, there is Russian localization, although with obvious flaws in translation. Hotkey hints are provided for the main commands; there is no separate menu section with their configuration.

Now more about creating notes. Obviously, this is one of the main features of AM Notebook, which can be called a notebook with additional organizer features. In addition to working with text, it is possible to create tables (Spreadsheets) with support for formulas / functions, as well as charts. The text editor allows you to add tables, images, check spelling (you can connect the Russian language by adding a dictionary in *.dic format from MS Office). The spreadsheet module allows you to work with a few formulas - but this is more than enough for simple calculations. Charts and graphs are available in the PRO version of the program.

Tasks (Todo) are created in Plans. In the properties, you can specify a group, priority, set the percentage of completion (the completion bar is displayed in the task list, which is very clear), set a reminder. Tasks are also combined into groups.

All reminders can be displayed in a single list - it is convenient to turn off unnecessary reminders without going into each section. There is an alarm clock.

The same tasks (Task) are created in the Calendar, but they have nothing to do with the “Plans” section (translation inaccuracies affect). If the user checks the "Every day" option (localization error, should be: "All day"), the task is moved to the top of the calendar. In general, the functionality of the calendar is very modest, but this drawback is partly offset by the presence of display modes - by day, week, month, etc.

The address book respects the same minimalism; there is no way to combine contacts into a group or, for example, add a photo. You can enter contact information, specify contact methods, add a note. However, the purpose of some fields is unclear - in the "Birthday" tab there are 5 columns for entering a name and the same number of dates.

Alas, despite strengths AM Notebook, there were noticeable shortcomings. Aspects such as security and data privacy are overlooked. For the safety of personal data, you cannot set a password or encrypt data. As a result, you can rely on the organizer, being sure that the data will not fall into the hands of an attacker.

AM Notebook supports mobile devices, synchronization is not provided. The only insurance against loss of information available in AM Notebook is backup data.

WinOrganizer

WinOrganizer is one of the most functional organizers designed for both personal and collective use. It includes a scheduler, a note and address book, a password manager.

The program window is divided into two columns; on the left, the contents of the organizer are displayed in the form of a hierarchy. WinOrganizer does not tie the user to a specific structure: any other data type can be nested into one data type, and nesting can be deeper than two levels.

In order to get acquainted with the list of cases, events on the agenda and other upcoming events, you can use the "Today" module. This is a convenient view by day, week, month, with the ability to print and select a template for the report.

In the properties, when creating a task, an impressive number of options are presented, including advanced notification settings: reminder interval, sound settings, program behavior on notification expiration, launching an action. Tasks can be sorted by criteria such as priority, status, performer.

Notifications are attached not only to events, but also to WinOrganizer data types, up to contacts and passwords.

The address book has a standard set of fields. It should be noted that the fields can be displayed in a single list. Columns in the address book are configured, which is convenient for displaying only the most necessary information about people. Contacts can only be synchronized with PocketPC.

The program includes a password manager. The set of features is standard, among them there are options “Hide password while typing” and a password generator. In WinOrganizer, by the way, you can restrict access to any document ("Document Properties - Password Protection").

As already mentioned, several users can work in the organizer at the same time, including co-editing notes and other entries. The notebook supports import / export to Word and WordPad (RTF), works with tables, images, there is a Russian spelling checker. Synchronization is carried out through the GSDataServer database server.

Diary from Enot

Ultimately simple program, in which you cannot create notes, there is no address book and most of the main components of the organizer, only appointments and reminders are available. Diary from Enot syncs with Google Calendar, so this lightweight organizer can be seen as a lightweight desktop version of the well-known service. However, you need to make a reservation that Google Calendar provides many more options than this organizer. You can't create multiple calendars here, set up access, publish a schedule on the Internet, not to mention the fact that the web interface provides several convenient calendar display modes. In Diary from Enot, the developers seem to have limited functionality on purpose.

Thus, using the scheduler is useful only if you want to simplify the organization of events as much as possible: literally - open, add a reminder, minimize the window and do other things. The interface of Exiland Assistant is strict, very elegant and friendly. The main window has two panels - on the left there is a traditional folder panel (here they are called groups) and a search area, on the right is a list of items in the selected group. All elements supported in the program (notes, contacts, etc.) are records in their classical form (we can say that they are approximately the same as in any DBMS - in the simplest case, for example, in Microsoft Access). This leaves a certain imprint on the process of working with elements that cannot be quickly created and edited, and to get the result you have to perform more manipulations than in other solutions. Although in the end everything is clearly classified and can be quickly found. We didn’t really like this nuance, because the author, due to the peculiarities of temperament, always needs a quick result. But in general, this, of course, is a matter of taste, because everything else (that is, the quality of the program and its functionality) is at its best. Notes in the program are plain text without formatting (by default) or with simple formatting (the text design option is switched by the corresponding buttons in the note creation window). Note text can be entered, pasted from the clipboard, or dragged from other documents with the mouse.

Contacts are of two types - persons (with personal use it can be just friends and acquaintances; in corporate - the company's clients) and the enterprise (that is, the base of clients of legal entities). Each contact type has its own list of fields. For example, in the case of persons, this would be a basic data set (last name, first name, etc.) and an additional one. Additional data is divided into seven tabs: "Means of communication" (telephone, ICQ, e-mail, pager, etc.), "Personal data" (birthday, hobbies, etc.), "Additional info", etc. List of fields on each of the tabs is strictly fixed. However, in reality, this fixed list of fields can be corrected by adding missing fields (Administration > Customize Fields command). In addition, a person can have a photo added. To view data about a specific person, you do not need to open its card (that is, the editing window) - just click on the corresponding entry with the mouse. To speed up the search for the desired contact, you can filter contacts by gender. Any contact is easy to call right there (including by dialing a phone number via Skype), send a letter or go to his web page. It is possible to import contacts from address books of email programs via a CSV file and synchronize Exiland Assistant contacts with Microsoft Outlook(menu item "File"> "Import / Export"> "Synchronization of contacts with Microsoft Outlook"). Links allow you to store useful Internet addresses with a brief annotation and download the relevant sites with one click in your computer's default browser. It is possible to import Internet links from the Internet Explorer Favorites directory (command "File" > "Import/Export" > "Import Favorite Internet Links"),

Tasks, like other objects, can be grouped according to their purpose - say, personal, work, etc. Each task contains a title, the date when this task must be completed, the date and time of the reminder, the degree of importance of the task, the progress status, the amount of work in hours, days, etc. You can set the reminder to be periodic (for example, every five days or every 30 minutes) and choose the type of reminder (soft blinking of the icon in the SysTray area near the clock or pop-up with a reminder window), the sound for ordinary and important tasks, and the type of animation in the SysTray. Events are understood as Russian holidays and various events of persons (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.), about the approach of which the program can also carefully remind. As for the calendar-diary and planner, such objects, despite the fact that Exiland Assistant is positioned by the developers as a solution that includes an electronic diary with a convenient task scheduler, are basically absent in the program. Yes, there are tasks with a built-in reminder, but not a scheduler. The only thing that is implemented in this sense is the ability to filter tasks, for example, you can turn on the display of only today's tasks, tomorrow's tasks, etc. But nothing more - there is no question of any planning, that is, a simple and convenient mechanism for moving tasks in time on the timeline and changing their duration.

WinOrganizer 4.1

Designed to organize events, tasks, contacts and notes in a tree structure, while any of the elements of this structure can be password protected. It allows you to work with tasks in the calendar and scheduler mode, however, the program's capabilities here are, in fact, limited to one view. Simultaneous work with several databases is possible. The demo version of the program (there is a Russian-language localization) is fully functional and operational for 30 days. The cost of the commercial version depends on the license: a license for individuals- 750 rubles, license for legal entities and commercial use - 1500 rubles. WinOrganizer has an intuitive, standard tree-like interface. In the main window on the left there is a document tree, on the right - the contents of the selected document, more often a list of records, in addition to which there may also be a comment and a list of attached files (they will be located in separate subwindows). In the tree, in separate folders, you can store six types of items: notes, events, tasks, contacts, cards and passwords - each type with its own icon. You can drag objects around the tree in any way you want.

Notes are created in the built-in text editor, in which the text can be formatted in the desired way (even the insertion of tables, the use of superscript / subscript characters, etc. is provided) and supplemented with images. It is possible to copy text to a work note from the clipboard or drag it from another application. Moreover, spelling is automatically checked in the entered text, and incorrectly written words are underlined. Notes can be imported from TXT and RTF files (the "Tools" > "Import" command).

Data about each of the contacts is stored in separate fields and is divided into six tabs for convenience. The main information is entered on the first three tabs: "General" (the most frequently used fields), "Home" (detailed information about the person) and "Work" (detailed information about the organization in which he works). In addition, there are also tabs "Comment" (any text notes), "All fields" (generalized information on all fields for the current contact) and "Notification" (arbitrary notification regarding the contact). Let's select additional custom fields from the list. To simplify the search for the desired contact in a large database, the function of selecting a contact by the first letter in the contact name is provided. If desired, the selected contact can be called, sent a letter to his email box through an installed mail client or go to its web page. It is possible to import contacts from TXT and CSV files. The password storage module allows you to use the organizer to remember passwords, serial numbers, accounts, details credit cards etc., access to this folder may be protected by a password.

Cards are a special type of document with an arbitrary structure, which may contain a certain set of fields, a comment in the form of a text document, and an alert. To be honest, we could not guess for what information this type of document would be useful. Events mean holidays, and when an event occurs, the program can not only remind you of it, but, if necessary, also launch an external application.

Tasks have all the capabilities of events and additionally have a number of additional fields, such as percentage of completion of the task, performer, priority, status of the task and date of its completion, you can also specify the start and end time of the execution. As for events, it is allowed to set advance notification for tasks, the latter can be done through the Chameleon Clock program, if one is installed on the computer, since WinOrganizer can switch notifications to it.

You can also work with tasks through the "Today" module, which presents in this decision calendar-daily to display all tasks and events in one place. To call the "Today" module, use the "Tools" > "Today" command or click on the "Today" button located in the lower left corner of the main window. This module can display data in two modes: "Calendar" (command "View" > "Calendar") and "Scheduler" ("View" > "Day"/"Week"/"Month"). When working in any of the modes, there is a navigation panel with a calendar for the current month and buttons for switching modes on the left, and scheduled tasks on the right. The scheduler mode displays a detailed picture of the load not only on a specific day, but also per week and month. As for the planning process itself - that is, creating tasks and events, moving them around the work schedule, changing their duration, etc., then in this module you can only correct existing tasks, and then to a very limited extent (say, change the time at task will fail). Moreover, this cannot be done quickly either, since any changes are made not in the calendar / scheduler window, but in the task properties window. To be honest, we really didn't like this one. That is, by and large, the "Today" module provides only a visual representation of the already created work schedule, and cannot be used for planning in principle.

To work with notes, there is a simple built-in text editor that allows you to format text and insert pictures into it. It is possible to copy text to a note from the clipboard or drag it from other applications. You can import notes from KeyNote and TreePad program files (the "File" > "Import" command).

Information in contacts is stored traditionally - in separate fields, for convenience it is divided into four tabs: "Basic", "Personal", "Work", "Notes". Each tab contains a set of fields that allow you to store detailed information about a person. In addition to standard fields, there are fields whose type can be set independently by selecting from the list. There is functionality for automatically dialing a contact's number, generating a letter to a contact and opening a web site associated with it. You can import contacts from CSV files (File > Import).

As for bookmarks, you can not only store them, but also open them in the built-in browser (of course, when connected to the Internet) and save viewed links on disk, which, however, is quite slow.

To work with tasks, Info Angel provides the "Calendar" module, which is a regular diary that will help you schedule tasks for any day of the week, as well as set reminders of important events. You can call the calendar from the "Tools" > "Calendar" menu. In the left upper corner The diary contains a calendar for the current month, in which a date is selected - while the list on the right displays all the events scheduled for that day. Tasks can be one-time and periodic, which is regulated through the "Recurrence" switch. It is easy to assign a reminder to any event ( sound signal and opening a pop-up window), such entries are marked in the list with a special icon. Tasks are easy to move from place to place with the mouse, and the size of the record, depending on the duration of the event, is changed by the usual stretching / shrinking. However, viewing tasks is possible only for a specific day - that is, to see, for example, a picture of the weekly load will not work.

Workspace objects can be moved around it and scaled, as well as attached to them external files and folders - and you can make shortcuts on them or copy them directly to the project, which makes sense when the program is running from a flash drive. Under the working field is a time tape. Notes (like any other type of supported objects) are created through the context menu called in the main window, or by clicking on the program icon in the system tray. The text of an open note can not only be entered, but also copied via the clipboard or dragged from another application. Formatting is supported, but at the most minimal level, but you can select different icons for different notes. It's easy to turn any note into an editable sticky note on your desktop. The data entered for contacts is divided into two tabs: "Properties" and "Notes". Any of the objects of this plan can be performed once or with some frequency - daily, weekly, annually, annually on a strictly specified date, after a certain period. In addition, objects can be painted in different colors and supplemented with text notes.

As for the calendar-daily and planner, iChronos has a timeline as a replacement for them, which automatically displays all tasks, meetings and similar events for the day, week or month. This makes it easy to identify overlapping events and adjust plans. It is easy to do this right on the tape by squeezing / stretching some of the events with the mouse and / or moving them in time. So the program can be used as a planning tool. True, here it is worth noting the immediately obvious problem of choosing the right day, since there is no calendar with dates on the ribbon, as in the entire main window. However, the calendar can be temporarily called up on the screen from the system tray menu ("Calendar" command).

Here, notes are understood as arbitrary text formatted in the simplest way - without pictures. This text is either typed manually or copied via the clipboard. Any note can be attached to the desktop as a "sticky" sheet by selecting the "Pin to Screen" command from the context menu on the open note.

Contacts have a minimum set of data fields and a photo. V general list contacts, there may be icons next to the title of a contact (the picture depends on the selected cover), which indicate that this contact has a photo, www-address, e-mail and / or phone number. To quickly find the desired contact, you can use the alphabet.

"Diary" is designed to store tasks for the current day. There are two types of tasks - with and without a specific time - those tasks that were created without specifying the exact time are always placed at the very beginning of the task list. It's easy to assign a reminder to any task. The task can be either one-time or periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) and be completed or not yet. There are no options for quickly changing the start time and duration of tasks in this program.

Tasks can also be viewed through the "Today" module, which is loaded by clicking on the command of the same name in the command menu - in this case, the tasks are displayed in conjunction with the nearest Russian holidays. To be honest, we did not see any sense in this section (at least in such a modification of it).

As for the "Mail" and "Chat" modules, the usefulness of these modules, given the level of their functionality, seems doubtful to us.

Conclusion

We settled on several of the most popular personal organizers with a Russian-language interface. At the same time, we limited ourselves to only the bare minimum of information about each, and we are well aware that the description, for example, of such rather serious tools as EssentialPIM, in our presentation turned out to be very modest. However, we did not set ourselves the task of considering all the possibilities of applications, but limited ourselves to only basic functions. As a conclusion, I would like to note that any personal organizer will greatly simplify the process of managing contacts, notes and tasks. But which one to choose is the question. If the opportunity to impress your colleagues is in the first place for you, then, no doubt, you should pay attention to the iChronos and AVS-Organizer programs - success will be guaranteed. Although in terms of ease of use, they are noticeably behind any other of the solutions considered. And the color design of these non-traditional organizers, in our opinion, is not very successful - therefore, users who have to work at a computer for many hours will find it difficult to apply such solutions due to excessive eye fatigue. Showiness is showiness, but there is a parameter that is much more important - this is the functionality of the program. This is where EssentialPIM Pro comes first (see table). This multifunctional application will not only provide convenient work with contacts, notes and tasks, but will also allow you to effectively plan appointments on the calendar and work with mail quite normally. Moreover, this organizer is also the most intelligently planned in terms of the efficiency of the operations performed - that is, many actions in it are performed in fewer operations. But the worst thing from the position of ergonomics is the Exiland Assistant program, although the capabilities of this product are also impressive. Moreover, this is the only one among the considered solutions that can be used to maintain not only ordinary contacts, but even very large customer bases and enterprise bases, which here play the role of a kind of contact. In addition, this solution can be installed on many user machines while using a single database. Perhaps the Info Angel program claims to be the easiest solution to learn and use, the developers of which stopped at the minimum functionality in terms of managing contacts, notes and tasks and did not burden their brainchild with any excesses. But you can start working with the program after three minutes of acquaintance - and there will be no problems. As for the C-Organizer product, it comes close (albeit a couple of steps behind) in terms of capabilities to EssentialPIM, and the WinOrganizer organizer is a little more functional than Info Angel.

Personal organizersThe word "organizer" for most modern people, one way or another dealing with computers, is associated either with pocket computers / electronic notebooks, or with software monsters such as Lotus Notes or Microsoft Outlook. Leaving aside the wonders of microelectronics, let's try to focus on software products, serving the noble cause of streamlining and organizing the working time of any more or less busy modern person.

The concept of "organizer" entered our everyday life along with the fall of the "Iron Curtain", as one of the elements of the fabulous "sweet life there", but, unlike many other similar attributes, it did not wither and even somehow took root on ours, quite still careless soil. It cannot be said that in the old days there was no need to streamline one's working time, but the functions of organizers were perfectly performed by all kinds of notebooks, calendars and, of course, their most common type - scraps of paper (although the so-called "posts" - sheets with an adhesive layer , I think they will not die out soon - approx. editor). But with the beginning of the era of widespread computerization, all this goodness could not but be swept away by the appearance of specialized organizer programs in massive quantities. Having retained all the advantages of their predecessors, they have been enriched with a number of previously inaccessible specific features, such as, for example, the ability to interact with other components of a computer office - a voice modem used as a caller ID or answering machine, an email client, etc.

The entire range of organizer programs can be divided into two large groups. The first group includes group information managers, for example, Lotus Notes or the previously mentioned Microsoft Outlook, focused primarily on working on a local network, and allowing not only to create your own schedule, but also coordinate it with other employees of the organization, and if necessary , then make appropriate reminder entries in the electronic "diaries" of colleagues.

The second group includes individual organizers, or planners, intended solely for personal use. They are a kind of conglomeration of a phone book, a diary and an alarm clock, brought together; in addition, various programs can include a wide variety of additional features. As an extremely simplified version of the personal organizer, it was conceived and introduced into operating systems Windows families notorious notepad. Some programs from this group will be discussed in this article, and, based on the specifics of their use in Russian open spaces, we will start with programs in Russian. Indeed, in programs designed, like organizers, for daily routine operations and in maximum degree focused on convenience and "invisibility" of use primarily by non-professionals, support for the native language is becoming one of the main factors determining the choice of a particular program from a large number that have, by and large, similar characteristics.

Informer

A free program developed by V. Shchetinkin is an easy-to-use personal information organizer that helps you efficiently organize work using a computer. The entire main window of the Informizer is occupied by a list of current tasks, which is the main component of any serious organizer. Editing a task or changing its properties takes place in a separate form, Task Properties, and you can vary the elements of the task design within a fairly wide range, adjusting them to your taste.

As some disadvantage of the program, however, not very significant, it can be noted that the length of the text string in the Task field is limited to only 240 characters. The built-in Message Editor, which displays the messages generated by the program, and also allows you to make notes like in a regular text editor, in terms of its capabilities, although quite a bit, it surpasses the standard Notepad. In no way lagging behind its commercial counterparts, Informizer has the ability to quickly launch applications or documents, quickly track information about contacts and clients, store information about upcoming events in the built-in calendar, and use the built-in calculator for current calculations. As an obvious advantage, one cannot fail to note the bilingual, Russian and English, interface of the program.

Informizer works under Windows 95/98/NT operating systems. For its class, the size of the program is too big - as much as 4000 Kb.

Organizer

The program is a convenient combination of a notebook with a "reminder" that automatically starts every time you start the computer and displays on the computer screen not only tasks for the current day, but also a wide variety of holidays, both general and personal, birthdays and deaths of famous people, folk omens and name days. The program comes with an extensive database of all these events, and it is also possible to create such databases on your own.


All events and tasks scheduled for the current day are displayed for viewing either in the main program window, or as a simple text file that can be opened using the correct Notepad (only when the program starts automatically). If no current jobs are found, the program closes immediately and is unloaded from the computer's memory. The main distinguishing feature of the Organizer is the principle of thematic division of tasks into sections and subsections. The partition tree can be edited and changed as deep as you like, it is stored in separate file TaskTree.sav which is simple text file and you can edit it manually, although Yuri Koltsov, the author of the Organizer, recommends doing this only in the program itself to avoid trouble. The Organizer program is free, has a small size - 416 KB, works successfully with all versions of Windows: 95/98/2000/NT and is updated frequently, so it is likely that by the time this article is published it will be able to do a little more, although it still leaves very little pleasant impression.

Phonebook

In addition to classic organizers, there are a large number of various programs that perform individual organizer functions. Among the programs of such a plan, one can note, which is an electronic version of a regular phone book and runs under the widespread Microsoft Access XP / 2000/97 DBMS (supporting the Russian language). It is designed to store the following information: surnames, names and patronymics, telephone numbers(work, home and city codes), places of work, positions, postal and e-mail addresses, Internet addresses (URL), ICQ numbers (UIN) and other data for an unlimited number of subscribers.


The telephone directory contains a powerful search engine (allows you to quick search by main fields or advanced search by any field); makes it possible to sort data, print it out, dial a phone number directly from the application (if you have a modem), follow links, launch mail program or ICQ, save data in Excel or HTML formats for transferring from computer to computer, create (including automatically) a backup copy and restore data from it.

Unlike the programs described above, the Telephone Directory is distributed on the basis of Shareware, the cost of registration for individuals is 125 rubles. The program has a size of 488 KB and works with all versions of Windows (I will repeat once again about the need to have any version of the database pre-installed Microsoft data Access), which is one of the main inconveniences of the Directory.

Call 'em All!

The Call "em All! 2.0.21 program is basically similar to the previous one, but, on the one hand, it is a completely standalone program, and on the other hand, its functions are somewhat expanded by including a notebook in it. Although the program has a fairly solid size - 2293 Kb and supports all Windows versions, its system requirements are surprisingly modest - a 486 processor with 8 MB of memory on board and 5 MB of disk space - this, by today's standards, is simply ridiculous. The only thing that confuses is the price requested by the developers, after all, 40 evergreens for an organizer program, even a very nice one - it's a little expensive.
