Lg optimus l7 ii white. LG Optimus L7 II Dual - Specifications

A couple of years ago, after a short one-year stagnation, LG updated the L-series of its gadgets, presenting an interesting second-generation model at an international exhibition - LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715. The characteristics of the smartphone have undergone some changes compared to the previous L7 line. And although this model is far from the capabilities of the brand's flagship, the device has something to please its owner.

The hero of today's review is the II Dual P715 smartphone: characteristics, reviews, advantages and disadvantages of the model, as well as experts' opinions regarding the successor to the previously popular L7.

Briefly about the model

First of all, the company radically changed the design of the gadget: instead of a rectangular monoblock, the device acquired a more streamlined shape. It is impossible to say that this is good or bad, because this moment remains for the judgment of each specific owner. Nevertheless, the design of the model can be called at least pretty.

In addition to the appearance of the LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715, the characteristics of the chipset have also been changed: instead of the rather mediocre Qualcomm MSM7227, the new gadget has got a rather nimble MSM8625. And although this chipset runs on two processors, playing heavy games (at medium settings) is possible without any problems. The RAM has also been increased, and now there is 768 MB on board instead of 512.

In addition, both cameras and the operating system have been updated, but the most interesting innovation for the LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715 (Black) is the characteristic of the rechargeable battery, which has increased to 2460 mAh. This is a very good bonus for a potential buyer.

Contents of delivery

The model comes in three colors: white and LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715 Black / Blue. Reviews of the blue and black scales are quite variegated: someone likes strict tones, while someone prefers something "more fun", so this moment cannot be unequivocally appreciated. The design of the device in white can be called universal.

In the box you will see:

  • the device itself;
  • storage battery;
  • mains charger;
  • USB cable for charging and synchronizing with a computer;
  • rather detailed manual in Russian.

Unfortunately, there are no additional accessories. The headset, case and other entourage will have to be purchased separately. But maybe it's for the better, because any additional item in the box would significantly increase the price of the LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715.

Photos and reviews about the design of the model

Quite an interesting and bold decision is to use a distinctive design for almost the same model. A phone with one SIM card has sharp corners and in all its appearance resembles the previous generation of LG gadgets. The device for two SIM cards has sloping edges and is very similar to the old Optimus Black, Sol and One.

Judging by the reviews, many owners consider the semi-glossy back panel... The first generation of "Optimus" P705 was equipped with a pleasant in many respects embossed cover, as well as a metal insert (camera frame). Why the company abandoned these chips in new models is not entirely clear - everything here is somehow simple and primitive.

The screen of LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715 (photo in the article) is relatively easily soiled, so it will collect fingerprints everywhere and always. It is disappointing that the company did not equip the P715 with a protective glass from the "Gorilla", but nevertheless the available durable plastic is able to protect the gadget from minor scratches.

Assembly

As for the build quality of the model, here LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715 has five plus points. The device is really well knocked down: no backlashes, creaks, crunching and other flaws. Numerous positive reviews on specialized forums the build quality confirms this fact.

The gadget lies well in the palm of your hand, and thanks to the optimal dimensions (122 x 66 x 9.7 mm) and relatively low weight (115 g), you can easily operate the smartphone with one hand.

Interfaces

The LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715 smartphone is a classic representative of the series, where the location of the interfaces has not changed at all. On the front of the device we will see: a front camera, a removal sensor, as well as a speech speaker under a pretty metal mesh. By the way, the speaker's performance is at a pretty decent level: a good volume reserve, a pleasant timbre, and the person at the other end is heard clearly, legibly and without any blurring. You can compare the characteristics of the model with the quality of "Galaxy S-Duos" from "Samsung" and the same "Opitmus L7" of the first generation.

As for the sensors and their work, there are no complaints about the model - everything blinks, glows and winks as it should, in LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715. Reviews of the owners sometimes note some inhibition of the indication in the winter season, but almost everyone is sick with this budget models, therefore, this nuance cannot be called critical.

If in a device with one SIM card you can see a mechanical Home key, in P715 it is replaced by a touch key. There are four functional touch buttons under the screen: work with SIM cards, "Menu", "Home" and "Back". The keys are printed on the display with silver paint and are completely devoid of backlighting, which is very disappointing. The owners' reviews are literally full of indignation phrases about this: during the day there are no problems, but in the evening and at night you have to poke your fingers at random. This is a serious omission for a seemingly successful model.

At the bottom there is a microphone and a micro-USB-out, and at the top there is another noise-canceling microphone and a standard 3.5 mm headset and headphone interface. The company's engineers included a mechanical button in the design on the left side of the gadget to launch applications indicated in the menu such as a voice recorder, camera, game or playlist. Slightly below is the volume rocker and the on / off button for the device.

On top of the back of the gadget there is a camera and a flash eye slightly recessed into the body. At the bottom is the speaker. In order to open the cover, you need to pry off the back panel at the location of the micro-USB output. There we will see a place for a memory card and slots for ordinary mini-SIM cards (the principle "on top of each other").

Display

The 4.3-inch smartphone LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715 has a very mediocre and outdated screen resolution of 800 by 480 pixels. Experts believe that this "infringement" was specially introduced into the series so as not to create competition for the much more promising model of LG "Optimus L9".

The display is built on a fairly high-quality IPS-matrix, and the picture is quite good for the budget LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715. The view of the corners, of course, is not good enough, and under large slopes the image fades, is inverted and the color rendition deteriorates significantly. Nevertheless, flipping through a photo or watching a video in the company of one like-minded person is no problem.

In principle, you can work with the gadget on a sunny day: although the picture fades, the information as a whole is more or less readable. The behavior of the matrix in the shadow is very good: the screen does not dazzle, and the pixelation is not striking (if you do not look closely).

The display seems to be quite good, but in this segment and for the same price (and the smartphone costs about 6,000 rubles), you can find a better competitor with acceptable sharpness, resolution and color rendition.

Sensor

The touch unit of the model is capacitive and is capable of supporting up to ten simultaneous touches. The screen sensitivity is generally good. Both the owners and experts in this field have no critical complaints about the characteristics of the sensor.

The smartphone is equipped with smart screen technology, which is not clear who spied on whom - either Samsung from LG, or vice versa. The principle of operation of this technology is quite simple: while you are looking at the device, it is turned on and does not "fall" into sleep mode, but as soon as you turn away, it will go out after a certain period of time. The “smart screen” works in tandem with the front camera, that is, it determines the position of your eyes and makes the appropriate “conclusions”.

Performance

The gadget is powered by the Qualcomm S4 "Play" MSM8625 chipset on two cores with a frequency of 1 GHz. A pretty good graphics accelerator "Adreno" from the 203 series is responsible for the graphics part.

This tandem allows you to work comfortably with the interface and medium-heavy applications. As for HD-video, powerful software and demanding toys, the device hardly "digests" them: friezes, brakes and subsidence according to FPS.

As mentioned above, the previous generation was equipped with 512 MB of RAM. The new gadget has a little more on board - 768 MB. If you actively use operating system, then the user is left with about 250-300 MB of free RAM. Not a lot, but for most common tasks and stable operation of the interface, it is quite enough.

The device has its own 4 GB of flash memory, where only 1.8 GB is available to the user, the rest is reserved for system files. A third-party memory card helps in this case ( maximum volume- 32 GB).

Camera

The device is equipped with two standard camera modules: front 0.3 Mp and the main 8 Mp. There is also a small one-section flash for the main unit. The maximum image size is 3264 x 2448 pixels, video layout is 720 x 480.

The indicators are more than weak. Almost any "Chinese" in this segment can work with HD-resolution, and for less cost.

Output photo quality is mediocre, although autofocus performance and white balance can be singled out as clear advantages over competitors. The main disadvantage cameras are the wrong choice of exposure: pictures sometimes come out with dark areas or overexposures. It's also worth noting that manual focus adjusts exposure too aggressively.

Autonomous work

The device is equipped with a 2460 mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery (output characteristics - 3.8 V / 9.3 W). Even if you look at the capacity increased in comparison with the previous generation, the gadget does not differ for a long time. autonomous work.

The manufacturer promises the owner up to 800 hours of standby time (why are they needed?) And up to 12 hours of GSM talk time.

In principle, in practice, this is how it is:

  • Conversations - 9 hours.
  • Music and radio - 35 hours.
  • Video ( maximum settings, headphones) - 4 hours.
  • Games (ordinary and not "heavy") - 5 hours.
  • Internet (Wi-Fi, 40% screen brightness) - 10 hours.
  • Internet (3G module, 40% tap brightness) - 8 hours.

From which comes bundled with the smartphone, the rechargeable battery charges a little less than four hours, and from the USB cable ( Personal Computer, laptop) for a little more than five hours.

Summarizing

As for the main component of the phone - the connection quality, it is good here, and no worse than the competing models of this segment, and the vibration alert is felt even in the pocket of winter clothes.

In general, the smartphone leaves some conflicting feelings. And here the point is not that he somehow does not work so well or works out of hand. Just looking at the previous generation of "Optimus", we see, or rather, practically do not see any changes. The camera has the same photo and video quality, low screen resolution, shell and software, and even the diagonal has not increased.

The only thing that is somehow noticeable in the new model is smooth operation interface and support for some "heavy" applications due to the updated filling. The battery life seems to have also increased, but not so that "ah!"

The smartphone can be recommended to ardent fans of the brand and to all those who often and closely work with two SIM cards. Otherwise, it is better to take a closer look at some Xiaomi, Huawei or the same Samsung, since the segment is simply bursting with a variety of models and characteristics.

LG took the right course in conquering the smartphone market, after another new product that came to me, I was convinced of this. Two latest smartphones The LG we reviewed were so good that we had to come up with a badge system to reward the best. Optimus G became the first owner of the coolest badge. But one or two successful models is not yet an indicator, especially since these are two almost identical smartphones, from the same top-end class. But today we have middle class and it's also good - Optimus L7 II Dual. Yes, naming fails, nothing can be done.

It was good, and the sales seemed to be going well too. Anyway, I have met people with this model many times. However, I do not think that the success of the smartphone was ensured by the L-Style design, which was praised by LG. In the new L7, there is not a hint of the previous forms, this is an ordinary smartphone, I would even say inexpressive. But, oddly enough, it is more enjoyable. At least it is very well assembled, there are no squeaks or backlashes. This is very important, for me, for example, I immediately form a negative opinion about the smartphone if it is flimsy out of the box. This is exactly what the first L7 sinned with, here and there I wanted to take it differently, so as not to feel the "shake-creak of the lid completely."

The LG Optimus L7 II is also plastic, it also has a removable battery cover, but the body feels well knocked down. Thanks to the assembly, from the first minutes of our acquaintance, I liked the second generation L7 much more than its predecessor.

We are testing a model with two SIM card slots - Optimus L7 II Dual. Unlike the first generation L7, now the two-symbol model appeared on the market even earlier than the one-symbol one. We didn't have the last one, but judging by the photos, they look very different. In the L7 II without the Dual prefix, the design still resembles the familiar L-Style. It has a different shape, and there are three keys under the display with one mechanical one. In the two-symbol model, the body is different, and there are four keys under the display, and they are all touch-sensitive. One of them is responsible for changing SIM cards.

Except all standard elements, which I will not list, I noticed one extra button on the left side of the smartphone.

This key brings up the QuickMemo application. After pressing this key, you will receive a screenshot of the screen on which you are in this moment... You can immediately make a note on it and share the result in one of the social networks, or send by mail. I considered this feature not significant enough to place it on a separate key, especially since LG practiced this before: Optimus 3D had separate key 3D, Optimus Black generally had a G button. But I thought so until someone from the outside said how convenient it is and that he wants the same in his Samsung.

Display

The diagonal of the IPS display is 4.3 inches, as in the L7, the resolution remains unchanged - 480x800 pixels. The pixel density is 217 ppi. I cannot call the picture too grainy, for a smartphone of the middle segment the picture looks good, but no more. For example, at a slight tilt, the colors on the display are distorted, and at a tilt of 160 degrees, the picture becomes unreadable at all. It seems that the smartphone has an IPS display, but it seems that in the characteristics someone simply made a mistake, somehow it does not look apey. The protective glass, or plastic, collects fingerprints well, the screen gets dirty almost immediately, you will have to wipe it regularly. The small indents from the display (frame) had a very positive effect, at first I thought that the L7 II had incorrect aspect ratios, only then I realized that it was the frame that left such a visual effect.

Cameras

There are two cameras and that's good. The front, however, is VGA, but let it be for video calls. Perhaps someone will use the second SIM card slot just for 3G to communicate via Skype. And the main camera has an 8 MP sensor and records video at 720p. There is a flash and autofocus. The photographs are quite good, the autofocus is adequate and determines what to focus on quickly.

Specifications

The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon Qualcomm MSM8225 dual-core processor, clocked at 1 GHz, Cortex A5. This is better than the MSM 7227a. In synthetic tests, the smartphone shows average results, but we did not count on records. Graphics accelerator Adreno 203. With this hardware, the main functions of the smartphone are performed normally (not reactively), with games like Dead Trigger, you will have to endure or not play at all. The smartphone here and there thinks, even reacts to the control keys after a few seconds. In short, not a gaming smartphone. However, you can skip a couple of birds between calls.

768MB of RAM is enough considering that you won't be playing on the L7 II. You can count on full-fledged multitasking if you work mainly with Evernote, mail, twitter and similar applications... But, if you open 5-8 tabs in the browser, the applications in the background are closed. The built-in memory of 4 GB is, again, sufficient, considering the possibility of expanding it with a memory card. This is all good, nothing can be called a compromise, but the main advantage of a smartphone and an advantage over the first "seven" is the battery. From 1700 mAh, the capacity has grown to a fantastic 2460 mAh. A year and a half ago, we looked at such a battery in the Galaxy Note and could not believe our eyes, but here the display is smaller, and in general the device is less demanding. This is a serious application for class leadership, even I will prefer autonomy to the detriment of many other things, and those who need constant communication on two SIM cards will definitely appreciate autonomy. We can safely talk about a whole day of very active work with a smartphone, with twitter, mail, calls and birds.

Software, control of two SIM cards

On top of Android 4.1.2 installed branded shell LG Optimus UI 3.0. In principle, I did not see any big differences from that in the predecessor, but on the first L7 the interface was much smoother, in the new product it is not that it slows down, just the fps is noticeably lower. Perhaps this is due to some visual effects, for example, when you move from one table to another, the distance between the icons increases, the effect of elasticity is created. But the processor in L7 II is also more productive, in general, the situation with the interface is not clear to me. On the other hand, we had a corrupt L7 of the first generation, we got it out of the window and it worked well. The same sample is not commercial and the firmware, as the company representatives told us, may be raw. I don't think so, but still. Am I overly spoiled by Optimus G?

Optimus L7 II Dual has one radio module. This means that during an active call from one SIM card, the second will be unavailable. Otherwise, both cards are active. The shell, of course, supports two SIM cards. There is a SIM card management item in the menu, where you can assign each icon, color, change the name and select the card from which messages will be sent and outgoing calls made. But you can always choose another card if you click on the right one before making a call / sending SMS function key... On the one hand, it is more convenient than separate menus in the system, but since the key is touch-sensitive, you can accidentally touch it and call the wrong number.

Output

This smartphone has every chance of becoming a new hit. There are all the ingredients for this: good design, good build, sufficient performance for routine tasks, there is an expandable internal memory and, most importantly, excellent autonomy. For this, the smartphone can be forgiven a lot, but, in fact, everything is fine. The Optimus L7 II Dual is clearly not for gamers or geeks. This is a finished product out of the box, with which there is no need to mess around, and the device will not let you play demanding games anyway - that's not what it is for. The buyer must clearly understand what he wants and in this case the one who needs a reliable two-symbol long-liver will be satisfied.

Neighbors in the line

This plate allows you to quickly assess the place of the new model in the LG 2012-2013 lineup. In the coming months, the picture will be complemented by the new LG Optimus L5 II (it should appear within the next couple of weeks after the release of this review at a price of about 2300 hryvnia for a model with two SIM-cards). And then another L3 II and, hopefully, L9 II we will see too. In general, for me personally, the line of LG smartphones in the past and this year is understandable and easy to remember, in contrast to the complex and confusing schemes of Samsung and HTC, in which the devil will break his leg. It's very simple - the higher the number, the older the model. And besides the L-series and the flagship model Optimus G, there is nothing more (yes, of course, I am aware of the existence of the Optimus G Pro and also look forward to its appearance). Of course, the 2012 lineup will gradually leave, but until the end of this year, I believe, it will still hold out in one form or another. And maybe it will end its existence by the fall, but it is unlikely to leave the sale earlier.

Appearance of LG Optimus L7 II Dual

The appearance of the LG Optimus L7 II has undergone minor changes compared to its predecessor. The hardware key has disappeared (we are now not like Samsung, but not everyone likes the touch keys, by the way, me too). The fourth key, the far right, now switches active SIM-cards. The solution, at first glance, is convenient, but I have repeatedly encountered its accidental clicks. Calls, however, were not missed because of this - I have to redirect calls to a SIM-card "for the Internet", but calling from it is not very profitable for money. and it happened a couple of times.

The back cover in my copy was made of embossed plastic, as far as I remember, in commercial samples it will be slightly different. I like the overall design of the device - everything is somehow well and soundly done.

The power button was taken out to the right side surface.

But on the left surface there was LG's own "know-how" - a user-configurable key, on which by default the proprietary QuickMemo function is hung, which allows you to automatically take a screenshot and paint something useful on it with your finger. The first thing I did was to replace it with a camera launch and was happy as an elephant. In general, in all senses, it is a competent and convenient solution - on the one hand, an unobtrusive reminder to users about such an opportunity (any kettle will press it and get acquainted with the function), on the other hand, no violence against the owner of the phone: if you do not like it, replace it with any application even installed by the user.

At the top, only the headphone jack remains. At the same time, the thickness of modern devices is so small that the hole partially "runs over" the back cover.

At the bottom there is a microphone and a microUSB connector. Also pay attention to the speaker for speakerphone and music on the back.

There are now four touch keys, as I said. The placement of the button for returning to the previous menu level (it is on the far left) is convenient and intuitive. Placing it somewhere else is annoying.

Under the cover, you can immediately see a large inscription on the battery, which unambiguously speaks of the key characteristic - the high capacity of the battery.

SIM cards are placed one above the other. The bottom card becomes "the first", the top one - the "second". But the memory card can be changed without removing the battery, that is, this operation does not require turning off the device.

Video review LG Optimus L7 II Dual

Traditional video supplementing the review:

Performance LG Optimus L7 II Dual

Compared to its predecessor, performance in synthetic tests has noticeably increased. In Vellamo it was 1019 points against 850 in LG Optimus L7. In AnTuTu, the growth is even more noticeable - 6137 points against 2921.

In NenaMark and Epic Citadel everything looks decent too - at 800x480 these benchmarks demonstrate 33.1 and 25.2 frames per second, respectively. For human vision, as you know, everything over 25 is already invisible.

The pre-installed set of apps matches the entire LG 2013 lineup. Here you and file manager, and a task manager with a program manager, and even special utility for data backup. And they did not forget about their own application store, LG AppClub, although it is inconvenient to use it.

The settings menu looks nice - I especially like the blue on-off buttons. Apple's stylistics and aesthetics here set the tone for the entire market. Pay attention to a separate item in the menu " Shortcut key". This setting additional key on the left pane.

The menu for managing SIM-cards in this device is the first item of settings. It is simple and straightforward.

You can select the SIM card icon, choose which one will be responsible for data transfer.

And this is how the application launch is assigned for the custom key on the side. As you can see, you can assign any application, not only the system one. And that's great.

Camera LG Optimus L7 II Dual

The camera of the device is at a good average level. She does not have enough stars from the sky, but she clearly does not graze the back ones. On a nice sunny day, really good results are guaranteed. And the results are quite decent indoors.

Pictures in original resolution, as always, can be found in a separate gallery on Torba.

Competitive environment

The main competitor of the novelty, without a doubt, is the sales leader in this segment - Samsung Galaxy S Duos (we have a review of it). Although I prefer HTC Desire SV (review), although it is clearly inferior in terms of the camera, and in terms of performance it shows very close results. Also, if you are tolerant of non-branded devices, you should pay attention to the Fly IQ440 Energie () and especially the Fly IQ450 Horizon (review). Not to mention the manufacturer's upcoming quad-core innovations.

General work impressions

The most important expectations from working with this smartphone - the battery life in my case did not make the proper impression on me. No, the laws of physics cannot be fooled, and in a "quiet" mode of operation, the LG Optimus L7 II is able to work for 2 or even 3 days. But if you use it "to the fullest" and work with 3G-Internet all day, then the charge is also barely enough until the evening, and if necessary, you can "drop" the entire battery in the same 6 hours. If you don't believe me, try to be me for one day and launch Skype, Instagram, Twitter and two mailboxes. In fairness, it should be said that the first L7 in such an extremely intensive mode during the Computex 2012 exhibition in Taiwan worked for 4 hours at all (there is generally HSPA + everywhere, including the subway). But with the L7 II, I had no missed calls at all in a couple of weeks of use. Although the performance was not enough for me - at peak load, the smartphone slowed down mercilessly (in fairness, my Galaxy Note is also able to slow down after a year of work, heaps installed programs and a dozen running applications).

If we talk about the little things that make up the impressions of this or that device, then I like the current LG interface, from the unlock screen to the cute on-off buttons. In fact, the menu is not much different from the flagship LG Optimus G, which costs twice as much. Unless the QSlide function was removed from the menu, which allows you to launch a limited list of programs in the second window and change its transparency. Convenient in work, as I said, turned out to be a configurable hardware key. And, conversely, it is inconvenient to switch between SIM-cards. Moreover, I have strictly one SIM-card for calls, the second for the Internet. A reasonable question - does everyone need mobile Internet in a smartphone? After all, it often happens that both SIM-cards are used for calls, it breaks down on my counter question - why, in this case, buy a smartphone, especially not the cheapest one? The market is full of offers (with a price tag 2 times less) devices with touch screen and two SIM-cards, including Android.

In the dry residue

The dual SIM Android smartphone segment is experiencing explosive growth. Their opportunities are increasing every quarter. In my review of HTC Desire SV, I once mentioned that in just six months HTC smartphone Desire V has gone from being a leader to being an outdated model. The situation with the LG Optimus L7 II looks similar, although it has a record-breaking battery capacity for this class of devices and nice little things like QuickMemo and a user-configurable key. The camera also deserves a good word, although 8 megapixels do not mean anything in today's world. In general, the situation with smartphones reminds me of a race tariff plans operators in 2004-2006, when an even more advantageous response from competitors appeared in a month or two to any advantageous tariff offer. Best price-performance ratio in its class is changing in today's fast-paced smartphone world in 2-3 months. And although today the HTC Desire SV or Fly devices can compete with LG Optimus L7 II, I will not dissuade anyone from buying it. For this will be a good and balanced decision. In any case, in the next couple of months - something more "tasty" on the horizon is not yet to be seen.

4 reasons to buy LG Optimus L7 II Dual:

  • A good screen with an IPS-matrix and a large diagonal;
  • high battery capacity;
  • best performance in its class (this factor may change in a month or two);
  • customizable custom button

1 reason not to buy the LG Optimus L7 II Dual:

  • religious hatred of LG - you like other brands, or you are ready to buy cheaper brands, for example, Fly;

Level 0 cache (L0)

Some processors have L0 (level 0) cache memory, which can be accessed faster than L1, L2, L3, etc. The advantage of having such memory is not only higher performance, but also lower power consumption.

4KB + 4KB (kilobytes)
Level 1 cache (L1)

The cache memory is used by the processor to reduce the time it takes to access more frequently used data and instructions. L1 (Level 1) cache is small and is much faster than both system memory and other levels of cache. If the processor does not find the requested data in L1, it continues to look for it in the L2 cache. On some processors, this search is performed simultaneously in L1 and L2.

16 KB + 16 KB (kilobytes)
L2 cache

L2 (level 2) cache is slower than L1, but instead has a larger capacity to allow caching more data. It, like L1, is much faster than system memory (RAM). If the processor does not find the requested data in L2, it continues to look for them in L3 cache memory (if available) or in RAM memory.

Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)

SAR levels refer to the amount of electromagnetic radiation absorbed by the human body when using a mobile device.

Head SAR (EU)

The SAR level indicates the maximum amount electromagnetic radiation to which the human body is exposed if the mobile device is held close to the ear in the speaking position. In Europe, the maximum permissible value SAR for mobile devices is limited to 2 W / kg per 10 grams of human tissue. This standard was established by the CENELEC committee in accordance with the IEC standards, following the ICNIRP guidelines of 1998.

0.735 W / kg (Watts per kilogram)
Body SAR (EU)

The SAR level indicates the maximum amount of electromagnetic radiation to which the human body is exposed if the mobile device is held at hip level. Usually, most of the devices that will be on sale for a whole year were presented at the world's largest exhibition MobileWorldCongress2013. In addition to the flagship device LGOptimus GPro, the company "rolled out" new L-series gadgets with the prefix "II" - the second generation.

This review is dedicated to the LGOptimus L7IIDual - the successor to the previously famous L7. Firstly, the corrections concerned the design - instead of a rectangular clear shape, the novelty had a streamlined "figure". Plus or minus, you judge. In my opinion, it's pretty. Of course, the creators changed the chipset: instead of the dead QualcommMSM7227, they installed a smart MSM8625.

Of course, there is only a dual-core processor, but it makes it possible to include almost any programs and games. The RAM has increased from 512 MB to 768 MB. The camera and the operating system were slightly updated, but the most interesting thing is that they installed a voluminous 2470 mAh battery. For this category of gadgets, this is a great bonus when discussing a gadget as a purchase.

LG-P715 smartphone review

An entertaining solution is to apply a different design for the same model: the L7II version with one sim has sharp corners, and in general the design is close to the previous version of the gadget. The 2 SIM LGII version has sloping edges and is slightly similar to older LG phones such as OptimusBlack, Sol, One, etc.

Quite an unusual decision to use a rear semi-glossy panel on the P710, P715, taking into account the rather pleasant-to-touch rear relief cover of the P705 (the first generation of OptimusL7). In addition, the LGL7 has a metal insert on the back - the camera frame, the new devices do not have this feature, the camera is somehow quite simple.

The LGOptimus L7IIDual is available in 2 colors: black and white. In my opinion, a white gadget looks more elegant and prettier. Fingerprints are less obvious on the back. Of course, they are almost invisible on a black smartphone.

In addition, it should be noted: there are small raised points on the white panel, and the black one is completely smooth (I would add - slippery), only there are small notches along the edges. Over time, scratches or scuffs may appear on it, but since the plastic is also colored inside, the flaws will not become very obvious.

The display is very easily soiled, because fingerprints cover the screen surface, which, alas, is protected only by durable plastic, and not by GorillaGlass. But after 3 weeks of active use of L7IIDual, there was not a single scratch on the display.

For installation, designers should be given 5/5. The device is actually remarkably assembled, there is no backlash during compression. It feels great in the hand thanks to its fairly compact dimensions (12.2 x 6.6 x 0.97 cm), a very small weight (115 g) and an almost oval shape.

On the front there are: a front camera, a speaker, a proximity sensor covered with a thin metal mesh. The speaker volume is very high, the reserve is considerable, the partner is clearly audible, the timbre is good (mainly low and high frequencies).

  • Excellent call quality, like any other LG gadget. The vibrating alert is fully felt in the pockets of outerwear.

Outcome

The gadget has caused conflicting feelings. And the question is not that he somehow acts badly, it is just that there is no huge difference in relation to the past generation. For example, the camera has the same photo quality, video is recorded in low resolution, the display is the same (matrix type, resolution, diagonal), an outdated shell.

What have we got from the new chipset and software? Slightly better performance, support simple games... The period of activity has increased, but not "ah".
