(The darkest areas of the gray scale can not be considered, since there the balance of colors does not matter, and the measurement error of the color characteristics on the low brightness is large.)

In this device there is a fairly advanced system from profiles and settings, jacob providing the ability to adjust the color balance and so on. It is called Miravision.. However, attempts to fix with its help, the color balance was not crowned with success, since the correction of the color temperature leads to the fact that the shade of the halftone changes, and the white point - no, it looks disgusting.

Let us sum up: the screen has a very high maximum brightness and has excellent anti-glare properties, so the device without any problems can be used outside the room even summer sunny day. IN manual mode Brightness can not be reduced to a comfortable level to use the device in complete darkness. It comes to the rescue with an automatic adjustment of brightness that works adequately. A very good oleophobic coating should be attributed to the advantages of the screen, the absence of air gaps in the layers of the screen and flicker, the high contrast, acceptable, at least with visual assessment, color balance and color coverage close to SRGB. To significant disadvantages, we will draw low stability of black to the rejection of the view from the perpendicular to the screen plane and a strong overestimation of color temperature. However, taking into account the importance of the characteristics for this class of devices, the screen quality can be considered high.

Sound

Archos Diamond Plus sounds modestly. And in dynamics, and in the headphones, the sound is deaf with, neuropal, the frequency spectrum is not as wide as I would like. It is worth emphasizing that Diamond Omega is the original version of ZTE Nubia Z17S. In this regard, everything is officially: Nubia has concluded an agreement with Archos for the sale of Nubia smartphones under the Archos brand in Europe and Russia.

On the this moment Omega is sold at extremely bold RRTs price of 45 000 rubles. But if you search, then the smartphone can be found, and officially, for 38,000 rubles, which radically changes the picture of the device's perception for the better.

Design, dimensions, control elements

Unfortunately, the "Appearance" item will soon have to be removed, since all smartphones will become the same: a large screen that occupies the entire front panel, and the rear glass panel of different colors. Already now you can notice the unification (or it's easier to call it with copying?) Devices to the appearance of any flagship gadget. For example, the entire 2018 will be held under the Apple iPhone X sign and his company "bang". We rine this strange stroke with you, however, we want to get high-quality frames on frontal chambers and excellent spoken speaker. And how to create a large camera module and the best speaker if the screen boundaries are shifted more and more to the housing borders? The only more or less reasonable move is a small island at the top of the front panel to accommodate all the necessary elements in it.

A little distracted by Archos. I wanted to say that the phones are now the same and describe their design is almost meaningless. Another thing is the materials. It uses the Gorilla Glass glass of the third generation, and from two sides. The front part has a slight 2.5D rounding. Metal device frame.


The color of the device is trendy - dark blue. There are no other options. Insofar as back cover Mirror, it is pretty shimmer into the light. Although they could make a more original "drawing" of several layers.

It is also worth noting that the side faces of the screen are not bended, as implemented in many similar devices.

In general, Archos (or more correctly say, Nubia) turned out to be a good gadget from the point of view of the quality of manufacture and used in it.

Judging by the calibrator data, the Archos matrix issues excellent juicy colors: all parameters are more SRGB triangle. But the gray color of the Omega screen is very lying.






Battery

The ARCHOS DIAMOND OMEGA apparatus uses a non-removable lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery with a capacity of 3100 mAh. It seems to me that with a thickness of the case at 8.5 mm, it was easy to put a battery of 3500 mAh, and even more. And so, without using AMOLED, to achieve good results for 3100 mAh almost unreal.

Cameras

Archos Diamond Omega uses the same cameras that in ZTE Nubia Z17, which we have not been tested so long ago. The only moment: in Archos also two front cameras.
