The windows audio service is disabled. Restart audio service

Greetings to all readers of my blog and again Denis Trishkin is on the line!

Recently, I once again faced the problem of no sound on my computer. Most often, this happened a long time ago, when I was working on old versions of the OS from Microsoft, since there were simply no drivers needed for the hardware in the standard assembly. After simple manipulations with the search engine, everything returned to normal. But what if the audio service is not running windows 7? The solutions are different - it all depends on the original problem. We'll cover the main ones.

What is this? (Back to content)

Earlier, I have already met several times with such a concept as "Services" in windows in this article. This area is responsible for the operation of certain components of the operating system. It often happens that in daily work not used individual components... Therefore, they are simply turned off to free up memory to speed up the computer. Sometimes a situation occurs when users inadvertently deny the execution of some services. Or it happens as a result of uninstalling some programs. After that, the components may simply not perform their functions. In particular, we are talking about a sound that has gone missing. This may be preceded by several reasons, each of which we will try to describe below. V operating system The seventh version from Microsoft may show several bugs related to audio services.

Resolving the problem when error 1067 appears (back to contents)

So, it is relatively rare for users of Microsoft operating systems to encounter a situation when a speaker icon appears in the lower right corner, crossed out with a red line. When this occurs, error 1067 is generated, with the description "The process terminated unexpectedly."

It is important to note that a simple restart of the Audio service and related services does not help: the same warning window appears, or with a different message. In any case, a fresh start doesn't help.

Having rummaged a little on the forums, and then checked on our own experience, we managed to find out that the drivers are to blame for everything. This may be due to the lack of desired file in the base of the OS itself. Or required program is simply incompatible with current version equipment. Therefore, if, for example, you just installed Win, a crossed-out icon appears - you need to look for the appropriate software. It is imperative to choose the one that will fully match your system, including its bit depth. Sometimes even a warning icon appears, but there is sound. In this case, you need to do the same.

Important! Sometimes there are situations when installation helps previous version driver. In any case, the unpleasant icon should disappear, and the music should start playing.

Solving the problem when error 1068 appears (back to contents)

In some situations, users may encounter a situation when a warning window appears on the desktop when starting windows or starting a program. It refers to error 1068. In most cases, this is also accompanied by an explanatory text: "Failed to start child service." Indicates that required component the system cannot be started or simply shut down. Moreover, this situation arises for several reasons.

The solution may be the simplest - restarting the service. To do this, press "Win + R" and enter "services.msc". After that, a list of all existing services will appear.

You need to find the ones that talk about Audio and start them. If this cannot be done immediately, you must change the startup type. And then restart your device.

If this does not help, you need to check the following lines:

    1 Power.

    2Media class planner.

    3 Remote RPC call.

    4 Endpoint Builder ...

They should all start automatically. If some items are missing, then they are not provided for in this version of the OS.

After turning on each of the above lines, windows Audio should stop showing an error.

If that doesn't work either, you can try running the Troubleshooter. It is located in the Control Panel. After that, just select the appropriate item for the sound. The wizard will check the hardware, the corresponding software and then report his verdict. Perhaps you just need to install new drivers.

Resolving the problem when error 1079 appears (back to contents)

Another common problem is, again, the lack of sound. This is accompanied by error 1079. This is most often seen when buying new hardware with a clean OS installed. If you go to Device Manager, you can find “High Definition” as a sound element. This often happens as a result of installing the wrong driver. But when you select a new one, an inscription may appear that there is no audio device at all on the computer.

This is accompanied by a crossed out speaker in the tray. When pressed, it is shown that windows service Audio is just not connected. At the same time, during switching on in the corresponding menu, a window appears informing about the impossibility of starting. It also says that “ Account that is associated with this service is different from others. "

And many want to know what to do in this case, because some may even have a feeling that sound card is not provided at all.

Don't worry - there is a solution, and it is not difficult. You need to go to Start and search for "Services".

increase

Go to the required menu. The corresponding list will open. Find "windows Audio" in it, call context menu and select properties.

Go to the "Login" panel and mark "With account". Next, select "Browse" and enter "local". Then we confirm our actions. If there are any characters in the password fields, they must be deleted and saved. After that, be sure to restart the equipment. If everything was done as it should be, the system should work.

increase

There is one more way. True, you must first find a computer with Win 7 and where the sound works.

If suddenly none of the above methods helped, it might be better to reinstall the system.

The audio service is not running, what should I do? (windows 7)

Hello everyone If you get an error in windows 7, well, what they say the audio service is not running, then this is interesting. The fact is that if before there was sound, but now such an error pops up, then either the drivers have fallen off or some kind of viral program is running on your computer. For just like that, the audio service itself cannot stop.

This service enables or disables sound support in Windows. I've never had such a thing, well, so that the service itself is cut out. But I will give some tips on how you can try to fix this situation and show you how to manually start the audio service. But I will say right away that you are unlikely to find on the Internet some exact recipe for how to fix an error, well, that the audio service is not running. The fact is that such an error can occur for completely different reasons!

There can be many reasons, even so many that before, well, very long ago, when I had some similar problems with sound, I reinstalled Windows! Well, I still knew little about the computer, but I already understood that such problems with sound can be solved forever ... It was easier to reinstall Windows .. But now I rummaged on the Internet and collected for you all the most working ways to return sound to Windows!

So, first check if you can enable the audio service at all in windows 7, if you can't even enable it, then this is even more serious. It would be ideal to restore the system, but this is if you have some kind of restore point. So, now see how to manually start the audio service, then open the task manager (right-click on the taskbar):

Now here go to the Services tab and click the button with the same name there:

Now a window with a list of services will open, here you need to find the sound service, it is called windows Audio, then double-click on it with the mouse:

A window will appear like this:

And in this window, to enable the service, you must first select Automatic in the Startup type menu, then click the Apply button. After that, the Start button will become available, so press it and the service starts. After all, your window should already be like this:

That's it, in this way you can start the audio service in windows 7!

If Windows tells you that there is no sound and reports some kind of error 1068, 1079, 1053, 1075, 1722 or some other error, then try this. Open the list of services and double-click on windows Audio, then click the Stop button in the window, so that the service stops. Then wait about ten seconds, you can even restart the computer. Then everything is exactly the same, but we turn on the service, for this we press the Start button! If there is no button, that is, it will not be active, then select in Startup type: Automatic, click Apply and then the button will become available! And we check whether there is sound or not, I cannot guarantee that this will help you, but it has helped many users ..

I do not want to upset you, but if, when starting this audio service, you have some kind of error, they say, you cannot start the child service, then there can already be a lot of reasons! I don't even know what to advise here, well, just restoring the system using a restore point or looking for a long and exhausting recipe for a solution to the problem ... Alas ..

But then I rummaged on the Internet and there is already new news! Look, it turns out that the windows Audio service depends on these services:

  1. Multimedia class planner;
  2. Windows Audio endpoint builder;
  3. Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
  4. Nutrition;
  5. Plug and Play;

Check that all these services are enabled, if anything, enable them! It's easy to enable, you need to select in Startup type: Automatic and click the Start button. I really hope that if anything, this info will help you!

Another thing I learned. You need to open the registry, to do this, hold down Win + R, write the regedit command there, the registry editor will open. Here in it, go to this section:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ services \ Audiosrv

And there will be a key like this (well, that is, a parameter):

Delete it and reboot, it helped some users!

There is another way, check that the necessary services are enabled in the System Configuration window. Here's how to start it, hold down Win + R, write msconfig there and in the window go to the Services tab and look there:

Opposite the necessary services (they were listed above) there should be a checkmark article, check!

These methods also apply to solving the problem when Windows gives an error saying that this computer cannot play sound data!

Well, that's all the guys, I honestly really hope that this info will really help you. Good luck and good mood

How to enable audio service in windows 7?

Hi guys. So let's talk about such a sound service. Everything happens well with you, you work at your computer, and then bam and there is no sound. I do not know whether this is true or not, but it happens that the sound service falls in Windows, and so that the sound will work again, you need to turn it on.

In this case, her can help reverse inclusion... But it may not help. And all because it so happens that the service is running, but there is no sound. Do you know what helps then? Then you need to stop the service first, and then start it again.

I will write a little off topic, so to speak a little of my thoughts. In short, there was such a topic, before I had this Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic sound card:

The card is super-duper, it plays great! But I just had such a jamb with her that when I installed windows 7, it works, it doesn't work. Well, that is, the sound, that is, no. And in the end, restarting the sound service just helped. Then I had to return to windows XP again, because there is no such problem. But I haven't had this card for a long time, it's just an old one, only with a PCI-slot, which are no longer on modern motherboards .. But its sound is really cool ...

Well, now we draw a conclusion. That if there is no sound, then it is worth trying to enable the service or restart it. But if you restart, then after stopping you need to wait five seconds, and then start again. Well, now I'll show you how to do it all.

So go to the task manager (right-click on the taskbar):

Now in the manager you go to the Services tab and there you click the button with the same name Services:

This window will open with a list of all your services:

Now here you need to find an audio service, it is called windows Audio (AudioSrv):

Click on it twice and the properties window will open:

What do we see here? It is written for what this service is, that it runs under the svchost.exe process and starts with the following parameters:

C: \ windows \ System32 \ svchost.exe -k LocalServiceNetworkRestricted

This is all good, but now the most important thing! As you can see, I have here in the Status written that the service is running. To restart the service, you must first click the Stop button, then wait a couple of seconds and click the Start button. If your service is disabled here, then to enable it, you need to select in Startup type: Automatic and then click Apply and then click Start. Well, if you need to shut it down forever, then select in Startup type: Disabled and click Stop and that's it, it will no longer work.

Well, something like this. If this does not help, then it may be that some other services that are needed for windows Audio to work, then they are not running. If you think that you have just such a jamb, then here I wrote about what services should be included in order for the sound service to work

All right, I waved. I hope that everything is clear and that this info was at least a little useful to you. Good luck and good mood

What is audio service and how to run it on Windows 7

In DOS and earlier versions windows lacked the concept of services, so sound support in them was carried out by installed drivers, which were either written into the system configuration files, or installed as separate applications... Sound adapter drivers were shipped with those adapters themselves, or came from other sources. They did not have any intermediaries, like the audio service.

True, some drivers came with complementary programs for configuring and tweaking sound, but only large producers equipment. Today we install audio drivers in the same way, but there is another layer between them and users - the audio service. Like any service, you can disable it and enable it back. There is no sound from the computer in the muted position. Here we will discuss how to start and stop audio service on Windows 7.

Why is this needed?

The fact is that the operating windows system 7 is quite sensitive to the presence of adapters in the system that are not the most latest models... Moreover, it reacts in a rather unpleasant way - it simply turns off the aforementioned service, and the sound on the computer disappears, as if it did not exist.

In windows 7, we are faced with a similar situation all the time. Especially often they do not want to start cards like the Creative Sound Blaster of earlier releases, connected to the PCI slot. It should be noted that XP hardly suffers from such a disease. Let's see how you can enable the service if it is not running.

We start the sound in the system

What's the easiest way to start audio service on Windows 7? Here simple instruction this:

  • We go to the "Task Manager". This can be done by right-clicking on an empty space on the taskbar and selecting the menu item of the same name.
  • In the dispatcher window we find a lot of bookmarks. Go to the "Services" tab.
  • A list will appear in front of us running processes, under which there is a button "Services". Feel free to click on this button.
  • A window with a list of local system services will appear. In this window, you need to find a line with the following content: windows Audio (AudioSrv).
  • We double-click on it with the mouse and get into the properties window. If this service is inactive, click the "Start" button on the "General" tab.

After that, support for sound should be restored, although this is not necessary, since the option of failure of the adapter itself is possible. If the service is running and there is no sound, then try restarting windows Audio (AudioSrv). To do this, first click on the button labeled "Stop", then wait a few seconds and click on the "Start" button.

Possible difficulties

What if windows Audio refuses to start? This also happens. The reason for this is in violation of the loading order of dependent on each other windows services... Many services are not self-contained. Their work may depend on the work of others. In the case we are examining, the normal operation of windows Audio depends on the following system components:

  • From the media class planner.
  • From the RPC subsystem (it controls remote procedure calls).
  • From the AudioSrv Endpoint Builder.

If these components are inactive, then AudioSrv cannot be started. All dependent components must be included. How do I enable these services? Yes, exactly the same as above: find them in the list of processes and check their status. If they are not running, click on the "Run" button for each listed component. That's all the wisdom. Always pay attention to this kind of dependencies - this will increase your level of understanding of the processes occurring in the computer.

On a Windows PC, “Windows Audio” is responsible for audio playback. However, this service can sometimes malfunction. In this connection, the sound is muted.

Therefore, if sound disappears on the PC, but the speakers or headset connected to it are working properly, then the problem that has arisen lies in shutdown windows Audio.

Therefore, it is worth looking at the lower right corner of the monitor. If you see a red circle with a white cross next to the speaker, then this will mean that this service is not running. To fix this, first try increasing the volume.

You can also use other solutions to this problem, which will be presented in this article.

Service manager

Facing problems in running Windows Audio, you can use the service manager to troubleshoot:

Upon completion of the manipulations, you will need to restart the PC, since it will start automatically when the OS is turned on.

However, you can do it differently:

  • Without closing the "Service Manager" select the line "Windows Audio" in the "Name" column.
  • On the left side, in the upper corner, where there is an entry "Services (local)", click on the word "Start". Thus, in the column "Status" the status "Running" will appear. The Startup Type will say Automatic.

However, even after starting audio in this way, you may encounter a situation where Windows Audio is already working, but nothing changes on the speaker icon. This will mean that the service is not working properly and needs to be restarted.

To do this, in the service manager, again select the line "Windows Audio". And on the left side, at the top of the window, click on "Restart".

I would like to note right away that starting the audio service using the service manager is the most optimal way. Because if the column "Startup type" will be "Disabled", all other options will not help.

In this connection, you still have to use the service manager settings. However, it is worth knowing a few more ways to Windows startup Audio, in the case when the "Startup type" column is not marked "Disabled".

Using the command line

When faced with the question of how to start the audio service on Windows 7, you can use command line... To do this you will need:

  • Hold down the "Win (flag key) + R" keys at the same time.
  • Then, in the lower left corner, a system window titled "Run" will open.
  • Indicate without quotes "cmd" and click on "OK".
  • Further, in the new system window, in the last line after the ">" sign, write "net start audiosrv" without quotes and press "Enter".

Task Manager

You can use the Task Manager to enable Windows Audio. In this case, the following manipulations are performed:

  • First, right-click in the lower right corner and select "Task Manager" from the menu.
  • Go to the "Services" section.
  • Then look for the line "Audiosrv". If it has “Stopped” in the “Status” column, right-click on “Audiosrv” to connect it. Then choose "Start service".

When information appears that the operation cannot be completed, then you will need to click on "OK". This error means that the device manager was previously launched without administrator rights. To get them you need to go to the "Processes" tab, where you should select "Display process".

After that, go back to the "Services" and repeat the above steps. If everything goes well, the “Running” status will appear opposite “Audiosrv”.

Summarizing

Thus, if you have a question about how to start the audio service on Windows 7, there are several ways to resolve it. But many of them will only be relevant if this service is not disabled in the "Service Manager". And when it is loaded with all the elements of the OS when it starts up, that is, when you turn on the PC.

Listen, it turns out that the service Windows Sound Audio depends on such services:

  1. Multimedia class planner;
  2. Target builder Windows points Audio;
  3. Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
  4. Nutrition;
  5. Plug and Play;
