Dust clean acer aspire 5741g laptop. How to disassemble and dust an Acer laptop - step by step instructions

Often people are faced with the problem of lack of information on the disassembly of a particular technique. This is primarily due to the fact that manufacturers provide such instructions only to qualified service center specialists. Most Acer laptop models have similar assembly schemes, so step-by-step instruction will be relevant for most users of laptops from this company.

You will need

  • - screwdriver;
  • - not sharp knife.

Instruction

  • Disconnect the computer from the power source. Turn the laptop face down, unscrew all the back cover screws. After you remove all the detachable elements of the cover, you will see inside the hard drive screwed to the case and fixed with a metal plate - also remove all fasteners to remove it.
  • From the board located to the right of hard drive, carefully disconnect the two wires attached to it, usually they are one black, the other white. Then disconnect the board itself from the computer.
  • Set the screwdriver aside. The next part will be the most difficult and requires you to be very careful. Removing the bottom panel in front of the monitor is done with a knife. First make sure that it is not too sharp to prevent damage to the surface. Then carefully pry the panel from both edges of the laptop in turn and remove it. Please note that you need to be extremely careful especially with this part of the computer - it is very easy to break it. Therefore, do not make much effort to detach it, it is very easy to remove without it. Then unscrew the screws securing the keyboard and disconnect the cable.
  • Under the removed panel, you will find the wires connecting the monitor to the computer. Remove the monitor cable from the white connector, and then, after removing the keyboard, remove the black wire located under it and leading to the screen. Remove both screws that secure the monitor to the case, then you can remove it.
  • Disconnect the wires from the "touchpad" - the panel of the touch pointing device and then remove the motherboard from the computer case. It is much more convenient to remove the cover from the side of the monitor, having previously eliminated the connectors of the device that determines the position of the computer cover. Done - You Dismantled Acer laptop. Its further assembly takes place in the reverse order.

In the article, we will take a step-by-step look at how to disassemble an Acer Aspire One laptop and carry out preventive maintenance on it: clean the processor (CPU) cooling fan, heatsink and the interior of the product from dust.

The reason for the need for preventive maintenance was expressed by the frequent transitions of the CPU fan to high rotational speeds.

These modes of operation cause additional noise during operation of the notebook, overheating, and shorter battery life.

As a rule, such signs appear due to a decrease in the efficiency of the cooling unit (fan and radiator) of any computer: stationary or mobile.

In order to restore the normal operation of the computer, it must be disassembled and cleaned of dust. But the operation of disassembling and dusting a laptop is somewhat different from preventive maintenance. desktop computer. The sequence of its steps is given below.

How to disassemble an Acer Aspire laptop?

In order to disassemble an Acer Aspire One laptop, you will need:

    • one Phillips screwdriver;
    • two flat screwdrivers;
    • rubber glue (needed at the assembly stage, for gluing the legs).

I started disassembling the laptop by dismantling the keyboard, which is attached to the case with five latches. We release the fixation of five latches, three of which are located above the top row of buttons:

two latches to the left and right of the keyboard:

After the fixation of the latches has been eliminated, we dismantle the keyboard from the laptop case: we raise the keyboard from the side of the screen by 45 degrees and disconnect the cable cable from the connector on the motherboard. To disconnect the cable, you need to lift up the locking bar (lock) of the connector.

We turn the laptop over and unscrew all visible screws: three in front and three under the battery. Two hidden screws are located under the rubber feet on the side of the screen. Dismantle the legs with a flat screwdriver, unscrew the screws:

You can see a lot of dust on the motherboard:

We unscrew all visible screws fixing the boards. Disconnect the wire connector leading to the speakers:

    dismantling boards:

After that, we lift the motherboard and get access to the CPU fan and radiator. As you can see in the picture, the inner surface of the laptop, the fan and the air duct are covered with a layer of dust:

How to clean dust from an Acer laptop?

In order to clean the laptop from dust, you will need:

    • soft brush;
    • compressed air;
    • thermal paste.

Using compressed air from a cylinder (you can, of course, blow hard), remove dust from the fan blades and the inside of the air duct (radiator). With a soft brush and compressed air, we clean the motherboard and the inner surface from dust:

After the dust is removed, we proceed to install the cooling unit (fan and radiator) on the motherboard. I added thermal paste to the processor, because as a result of dismantling, the standard thermal pads were deformed and torn:

The Acer laptop is assembled in reverse order.

P.S. If you have not yet started disassembling and have a desire to improve specifications laptop, I recommend pre-buying more RAM and replacing the existing one, more in this article

This is the look of the laptop that we will be disassembling.

First you need to turn off the power of the laptop. Then, remove the battery. We turn the laptop over so that the bottom part looks up, and move the battery latch to the open position.

Now, by moving the latch, we take out the battery.

Now you can move on to removing the optical drive. Remove the screw that holds the optical drive. He is only one. By unscrewing this screw, we can remove the drive from the laptop. This is not difficult to do. You just need to gently pull on the front panel DVD drive. Look at the picture, and everything will be clear.

Let's deal with the bottom cover of the Acer Aspire 5741G laptop. Behind this cover are hidden slots with RAM inserted into it, a hard drive and a wireless Wi-Fi module.

They will interfere with us during disassembly. We unscrew the two screws from the bottom cover and lift it up, as shown in the photo.

After removing this cover, we will observe such components, they are perfectly visible in the picture.

We will also have to dismantle the 3G module. The compartment where it is located is clearly visible in this photo. Dismantling this module will not take much time. We unscrew the screw from the cover and remove the module.

Now you can get rid of the RAM that is installed in the slots.

We remove the Wi-Fi module. First you need to disconnect the antenna wires attached to the module. We remember which wire came from, and unscrew the two bolts holding this module. Then we take it out of the connection slot.

We take out the hard drive by unscrewing the corresponding screws holding it. The extraction process can be seen in the figure.

We remove the keyboard of the Acer Aspire 5741G laptop. To remove the keyboard, we need to snap off the six latches that run along the top edge of this very keyboard. Having unfastened the latches, we take the upper edge of the laptop keyboard and pull it towards ourselves.

To finally get rid of the keyboard, you need to disconnect the connector with the cable.

It's time to get rid of top panel laptop. We get rid of it in the following way. Flip the laptop upside down. Unscrew 11 screws on the bottom panel and four screws in the compartment where the battery was located.

Then, disconnect all the wires and cables going to the laptop motherboard. We have to disconnect 4 connectors. Everything is shown in detail in the photo below.

Perform these steps carefully and slowly. There is nothing difficult in this work.

We unscrew the seven screws from the top panel of the laptop.

When all the screws are unscrewed, we begin to dismember the laptop case into the upper and lower parts. It's easier to start from the right side. The task is to separate the two halves of the laptop, as shown in the photo.

We remove the motherboard. To do this, first disconnect the cable that goes to the microphone.

We disconnect the cable going to the laptop monitor.

In the center, closer to the right edge, there is a screw that we need to unscrew. He then holds the motherboard.

Do not try to immediately remove the motherboard, there is still a wire going to it, which we need to disconnect.

Disconnect the power cable from the motherboard. This was the last step to release the motherboard. Now boldly remove the motherboard from the case and turn it over.

Here, finally, we can deal with the cooling system of the Acer Aspire 5741G laptop. Before removing the cooling system, disconnect the connector with the cable going to the cooling fan.

Now we proceed to dismantle the cooling system. Only four screws hold it on. We unscrew them and remove the entire cooling path as a whole.

Now our eyes are presented with a socket with a processor inserted into it.

We clean off the old thermal paste from the processor, and apply a new layer. What thermal paste I advise you to use, you can read in a similar article.

Thoroughly clean the cooling system and carefully return it to its place. Now the laptop will last a long time without overheating. We start assembling the laptop in reverse order. Successful and without erroneous assembly of your laptop.

There is also detailed video material in which all the above described processes are shown. You have the opportunity to choose which material to use, photo or video.

Do not remove the motherboard completely. The motherboard is still connected to the chassis with the power cable. Disconnect the power cable from the motherboard and pull it out of the case completely.

In the previous workshop, apparently, there was a replacement of the bios battery on the laptop's motherboard.

    Removing the cooling module

Disconnect the fan cable from the motherboard. Unscrew the 4 screws that secure the cooling module, the order is indicated on the radiator mount by numbers. Carefully remove the heatsink and cooling fan from the motherboard.

    Removing the laptop cooling system

The old thermal paste is already dry. It needs to be removed and a new one applied.

    Central Processing Unit (CPU)

The pins on the bottom of the processor are very fragile. Damage to them can cause the processor to malfunction and be replaced later. Using a flathead screwdriver, turn the screw securing CPU, counterclockwise by 180°. Remove the CPU from the motherboard socket. After removing the processor, place it on a clean, dry surface.

It is necessary to replace the thermal paste, for this we carefully remove the old one. It is undesirable to use metal objects, so as not to damage the contact pad of the CPU chip.

    Matrix Replacement

Now you need to remove the screen of the Acer 5741ZG laptop, to do this, turn the laptop over and thread the black and white antenna cables through the bottom of the case. Now you need to remove the LCD screen frame, to do this, remove the caps of the two screws securing the LCD screen frame and unscrew the screws. Pry up the frame of the LCD screen starting from the bottom of the frame. Continue prying the frame along the perimeter, starting at the bottom sides and moving up, then remove it from the matrix. If necessary, use a tool to pry the edges of the frame from the outside.

On top of the matrix module is a webcam. Disconnect the webcam cable and remove it. Now we need to remove the screen panel. Remove the two screws securing the monitor and peel off the strip of tape that secures the cables. Detach the cables from the LCD panel module and remove the screen. Remove the 6 mounting screws (3 on each side) from the screen holders. Pull and remove the matrix holders.

Antenna cables, web camera, microphone and matrix cable

Peel off the strip of tape from the cable and the tape that secures the LVDS cable. Disconnect the LVDS cable from the LCD panel, now you need to remove the microphone cable. Pull the cable bundle out of the hinge groove. Peel back the foil tabs and pull the microphone cable out of the cable trough and remove it.

We remove the antennas. Pull the black antenna out of the cable trough. Peel back the foil tabs and pull the antenna cable out of the cable trough. Pry and remove the antenna module from the device. Pull the white antenna out of the hinge groove. Peel back the foil tabs and pull the antenna cable out of the cable trough. Pry and remove the antenna module from the device.

Why is there a need for cleaning? The fact is that the laptop itself turned off 10-15 minutes after the launch of your favorite game. Before cleaning, we ran a stability test for 30 seconds. As a result, overheating is more than 70 degrees, while there is a sharp jump from 50 to 70 degrees with a gradual increase. This indicates a severe contamination of the radiator grille.

Dismantling showed that over the year the radiator grille was overgrown with dust and lint.

We clean the radiator grill of the laptop cooling system from dust.

After all the measures taken to clean the cooling system, replace the thermal paste and cooler lubricant, the Acer 5741ZG laptop works stably. How to disassemble a laptop Acer Aspire 5552 model PEW76

Main page» How to disassemble laptop Acer Aspire 5552 model PEW76

In this article I will try to describe in detail the entire process of disassembling the Acer Aspire 5552 series laptop model PEW76. The purpose of the disassembly is to clean the laptop from dust and replace the thermal paste on the laptop. This is what this laptop looks like, see the photo below.

We turn the laptop over, and the factory sticker immediately catches the eye, with a detailed indication of the parameters of this model.

A sticker is a sticker, but the laptop itself will not understand. We begin disassembling the laptop by removing the battery from it. This is not difficult to do, by moving one latch and moving the latch, we can easily pull the battery out of the laptop case.

At the opposite end of the battery compartment, below, there is a cover that we unscrew. It is fastened with two screws. Under this cover, we will see a hard drive, RAM and a Wi-Fi module.

HDD we take out, however, like the rest of the elements installed under this cover. And memory sticks and a wireless module.

Then, unscrew the seven screws that are marked with red circles in the photo above. Also, we will have to unscrew the four screws from the compartment where the battery was previously installed. These screws hold the top cover of the laptop case in place.

Naturally, we also get rid of the optical drive. To do this, unscrew the screw, which is marked in the picture, and take out the drive through the side slot in the laptop case.

We check visually if there are any unscrewed screws left on the bottom cover. If all the screws are unscrewed, turn the laptop over and open it. Let's start removing the keyboard.

The keyboard is held in place by several latches. If you look closely, you can easily see them. We snap off these latches and lift the keyboard up a little. We just have to turn off the cable, which is marked in the photo, and you can remove the keyboard completely.

Under the newly removed keyboard, we will see seven screws and three cables. Disconnect the cables and unscrew these screws. After that, the upper part of the case should be removed without any difficulties.

We removed the top cover. Below it we see the motherboard. It is held by a screw, which is marked with a red circle in the picture. We twist it. Also, we need to disable several connectors. They are also shown in the photo.

Now, in theory, we should remove the motherboard from the laptop case, without any problems. But there is one caveat. When pulling out the motherboard, in the very corner, another wire will come up to it. This is the wire from the Bluetooth module. We, of course, also turn it off. I marked this process in the picture.

And in the next picture, the place where the power wire goes to the motherboard is indicated. We turn it off too.

Now for sure, there are no obstacles in order to remove the motherboard from the case.

The motherboard has been removed. Let's start with prevention. Flipping system board. Unscrew the cooling fan first. We clean it up. Then, unscrew the cooling radiator from the motherboard and clean it. Where there is old thermal paste, remove it and apply new thermal paste. We fasten the radiator back and return to it the cooling fan that we have just cleaned. Next, the reverse assembly of the laptop will follow. As you can see, there is nothing complicated in disassembling and cleaning this laptop.

On this topic, I found an excellent video material.
