What is s pen in samsung. How are stylus pens for Galaxy Note, Surface Pro, and iPad Pro different? Selecting text on a web page

The first years at school we learn to write, diligently fill out the copybooks, look at notebooks in calligraphy lessons, form handwriting. Volumes of scientific papers describe how complex this process is and how it is associated with the brain. Information written by hand is remembered better than any text that we type on the keyboard, the second one may not be remembered at all. Writing by hand is more difficult than typing, and this is a deliberate action, a person's choice. The advent of smartphones and their proliferation should have brought the manufacturers of pens and notebooks to their knees, but they feel great, since many people do not consider the smartphone a worthy replacement for the notebook. And this is easy to explain, because when we write, we do it for important things, information that we want to remember and / or think about.

Smartphone line Galaxy Note from Samsung is unparalleled, as it unites two worlds in a relaxed manner - digital and analog. For example one can look at Samsung Galaxy Note8 as the most modern smartphone which has everything you expect from a flagship - a huge screen, great dual cameras, water resistance, lots of memory and a fast processor that makes the device easy to use.

Or you can look at the Galaxy Note8 as a modern digital notebook, which is as close as possible to ordinary paper notebooks, but has all the advantages of digital devices. You can send your recordings, store them on your computer or in the cloud, plus transfer them from smartphone to smartphone from year to year. At the same time, the S Pen not only looks like a pen, it behaves exactly the same, has different degrees of pressure, and you can not only write, but also draw. For those who have tried the S Pen once and tried how convenient it is, other smartphones seem not too advanced and they always lack a stylus. And someone in absentia thinks that this is self-indulgence. Let's take a look at an example of real-life scenarios, how convenient the S Pen is, what it does, and why many people can't refuse it.

In everyday life, from time to time there are situations when I need to write down someone's number or some information, for example, the doctor tells how many times a day to drip into the child's eyes and in what sequence. On the Galaxy Note8, I just need to press the stylus to start writing even on the locked screen, and I can have a hundred such screens, if I suddenly need a treatise. My experience says that treatises are not needed, but that you need to write down at most a couple of sentences, a phone number, and this is very convenient.

Information on the run, when typing on the keyboard is not so convenient, but writing it down by hand is quite possible. These are quick notes that you can put on the screen in standby mode, see such a reminder, like a leaf that you attached to the refrigerator. After the specified time, they will disappear and remain in the notebook among other entries.

The analogy with a notebook is complete, Galaxy Note8 acts as a modern digital notebook, and you can store various notes in it. For example, when the screen is unlocked, you eject the S Pen, and a context menu appears in front of you, from which you can choose the actions you need now. Due to my work, I often need to take screenshots of pages, highlight information on them. With the S Pen it is much easier and faster, as well as cutting pictures as accurately as possible, since you do not need to do it with your finger, as on most other devices. But for the S Pen there is also a unique feature that is absent in other devices, this is text recognition in a photo or screenshot. You select part of the image, and the smartphone itself recognizes the text on it. Comfortable? Not that word. For example, I often need to use information about store promotions in my articles. Previously, you had to open a photo and scrupulously type text, with the Galaxy Note it is enough to select the desired area, and text in any language is recognized, you can immediately copy it to mail, a text editor, or anywhere.

This is not just a time saver, but a convenient function that allows you to work with information in a completely different way. In notes, you can draw, write, do whatever. For creative people, the "notebook" from Samsung has no alternatives, only on the Galaxy Note you can draw so comfortably, mix colors, draw individual parts of the picture. And immediately share your creativity with tens of thousands of people around the world who can appreciate your artistic talents. When you look at drawings made on the Galaxy Note, there is no feeling that they were not drawn on paper and then transferred to an electronic file. Moreover, people are surprised that such things can be done on a smartphone.

I have always kindly envied people who can draw, since this wisdom was not given to me. Not so long ago, the world was captured by a new fashion for coloring for adults, when you buy a book with templates and slowly paint them in whatever colors you choose. Exactly the same coloring pages are in Galaxy Note, and you can also share your results with other people. This is a good activity to calm your nerves, and you are drawn into it instantly and never let go of your smartphone.

For those who are not fluent in foreign languages, the S Pen allows you to highlight a word or part of the text in order to get a translation immediately. Many Android smartphones can do this, the difference is that with the S Pen you select text faster and easier, and the translation appears instantly. Comfortable? Undoubtedly.

For those looking to go a little further, there is the option to replace the standard keyboard with handwriting and write the old-fashioned way anywhere, in any application on the phone. This may seem a little old-fashioned to most, but the nice thing is that your text is immediately recognized and the smartphone does it well.

And for fans of animated messages there are “live messages”, they allow you to decorate what you write and send to another person on any phone as an animation. It is possible that a heart that glows and appears after the stylus will melt someone's heart.

These are just some of the possibilities the S Pen offers, and no one forces you to use the stylus. This is an additional tool in the Galaxy Note8, which comes to the court due to the fact that the device was made as similar as possible to ordinary notepads, and writing with such a "pen" is a pleasure, to feel every press, to be able to draw like simple schemes and complex watercolors. There is not a single device on the market that would allow you to expand the traditional capabilities of a smartphone so, in this aspect the Galaxy Note8 is unique, and the second question is how ready you are to use the S Pen. To understand this, you need to try, and for this you should go to Samsung store and twist the device in your hands. It is advisable to do this thoughtfully and not on the run, imagine how you can use the S Pen in your life. And finally, I suggest watching a video, which tells in detail about all the functions that you just read about.

You can use the S Pen in the most different situations on the Galaxy Note 3, from no-nonsense tasks like creating spreadsheets to gaming and other fun like opening YouTube videos in a window while drawing in the editor. But it's this variety of S Pen settings and features that might turn off a lot, especially if you're new to the Galaxy Note series.

That is why we decided to talk about Galaxy functionality Note 3 with S Pen to get the most out of your smartphone.

First things first: settings

You can set your smartset to detect when the S Pen is removed from its slot and play sound signal, automatically open the Air Command menu or any other application. If you want to extend battery life, you can turn off S Pen detection.

The basics

Now that you've customized the S Pen to your liking, it's time to take a look directly at it.

The stylus is more symmetrical and more angular than the Galaxy Note 2's S Pen, so the new stylus can be inserted into its slot in any position.

The S Pen retains some of the features that are on the Galaxy Note 2, and even more so that are available on original Galaxy Note. However, now we have a very serious change - now gestures are no longer available and an attempt to write on the screen leads to copying text or media data from the screen.

Pressing the button while hovering the S Pen across the screen will open Air Command, a new menu of 5 most useful features.

When you hover the stylus over individual elements interface, a context menu appears on the screen, or a contextual action is performed, for example, displaying the contents of a folder or a gallery preview.

Finally, if you place the stylus on a text field, such as an SMS text entry field, you will be able to handwritten text, and the Galaxy Note 3 will self-learn with recognition so that your scribbles are easier to understand. It's simple enough that you will find this option very useful.

Productivity vs Creativity

Two apps designed specifically for using the S Pen and immediately preinstalled on the Galaxy Note 3 are S Note and Sketchbook. The updated S Note lets you record your ideas and reminders, but it's actually much more. You can fill your notes with diagrams, images, videos, voice memos or even maps, turning it into a powerful little tool.

Sketchbook is the assistant you need to unleash your creativity. This is mainly a drawing app, so if you can draw, you will probably be using Sketchbook every day.

Air command

Back to Air Command, which is the biggest addition to the Galaxy Note 3's S Pen functionality, there are 5 menu items here:

Action Memo - This is probably the most useful item on the menu, which allows you to use handwriting input in almost any way. You can even write the address by hand and it will open in the maps application in a moment; you can write a number mobile phone and immediately call him; enter url, address Email, contact names, tasks and all this will be recognized correctly with access to characteristic functions.

Scrapbook - for those moments when you need to save any little thing: let's say you saw an interesting lot in an online store, or found an interesting quote in the text, or even just need to save the entire web page. Scrapbook is just the best tool to store and store any kind of metadata like URLs and the like.

Screen Write - takes a screenshot and allows you to leave a comment on it.
S Finder Is a powerful search tool that looks through all content, including handwritten notes. S Finder also has many tags that you can use to narrow down your search results later.

Pen Window - to some extent, this is similar to Small Apps from Sony, since the Pen Window allows you to outline a window in any part of the screen in which you can launch an application - a calculator, or YouTube, or Hangouts, so as not to be distracted from another application. This is the easiest way to present multitasking, but the list of supported applications is still too limited.

These are some of the most useful ways to use the S Pen on the Galaxy Note 3. As you can see for yourself, the S Pen adds a lot of unique features and is more than just a screen-poking tool.

Of course, if you don't like the stylus, you can simply ignore it and still the Galaxy Note 3 will be one of the most functional devices... However, we advise you to immediately try working with the stylus before thinking that the stylus is no longer needed for smartphones.

“The best stylus is your own finger,” said Steve Jobs and was damn right for at least 8 years to come. To control a smartphone with a large sensitive display and a well-thought-out mobile system, the stylus is completely useless. But there is a nuance in the framework of which first Windows tablets fit into, then Samsung Note series devices, and then an ambitious one. If you have to handwritten notes, draw or sketch on the go, your finger is no longer a good tool. The phalanx is too coarse to match the fine-tipped pen with adjustable pressure. As a phoenix from the ashes, the ashamed stylus is reborn, and comes into play.

S Pen stylus in Galaxy Note 5 Gold

There is hardly any need for more arguments in favor of the presence of such an accessory if we are talking about specialized devices tailored for certain scenarios. A mass flagship product is another matter. Naturally, I'm talking about Samsung's Note. These daring gadgets shifted the vector of development of phones towards phablets and today are rightfully considered the most advanced “stylus smartphones”. But for all my geekiness, Note did not work out. Even with the Note 2 briefly, I didn't give the S Pen any significant attention. After all, not an artist or a designer, my craft is text, and my tool is a keyboard. I used it actively on my laptop, typing notes and longreads literally on the go. The stylus, meanwhile, remained in the nest.

Note on locked screen Galaxy Note 5

Since then, I've heard rave reviews from Western journalists about the S Pen in Note devices. Some did not even imagine how a power user can choose a smartphone (a pocket branch of a laptop) without a pen. And I decided to accustom myself to the stylus, especially since my conquest of Android continued. So for a month I had a gold Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in my pocket.

I will not pay much attention to the filling and exterior of the smartphone, I told and showed all the most important things to. The Note 5 is a mirrored copy of it in a slightly different design, with QuadHD pixel frenzy in a boring (ha ha!) Flat display and also without memory card support and a removable battery. Emotion aside, the Note 5 is better than the Edge +. It's more grippy, it's really possible to use it with one hand and ... it has a stylus in the end. But emotionally, smarts are very different. "Edge" is perky and ambiguous, delight or irritation - no half-measures. The Note 5, on the other hand, is solid and uncompromising. But he lacks peppercorns.

Leaving emotions behind, I will say that the main feature of the Note 5 is in the stylus. It hides in the bottom end and is locked with a spring mechanism. There are no questions about constipation - you will not accidentally press the button, and if this happens, the accessory will not fall out of the cramped tunnel. But the perfectionist in me is dissatisfied with the design part. The stylus does not fit flush with the plane of the end face and sticks out carelessly. Not elegant at all.

I scolded, now I will praise the Koreans for the desired system prevent the loss of the stylus. If you leave the accessory on the table and go on business with your smartphone in your pocket-hand, the device vibrates and displays a warning on the screen.

What the stylus is capable of in the Galaxy Note 5

The Samsung S Pen, a Wacom masterpiece with 2048-degree pressure sensing

Smoothly getting to the point - what is the S Pen capable of as the best smartphone stylus? An innovation of the Note 5, which has never been seen before in either the series or other devices with a stylus, is the ability to take out the stylus and immediately start writing on the display. Suitable for noting ideas, sketches, mindmaps and commonplace phone numbers... You click a button, pull out the pen, and paint on a black display with white. There are no brushes in this mode, but there is a smart eraser (erases strokes, not areas of the image), as well as the obligatory save and delete buttons.

Armed with a stylus at any time you use your smartphone, you activate the context command menu. It contains several actions: creating a note, taking a screenshot of the screen or taking a screenshot of an area with subsequent marks, and also launching applications of the user.

An active note is a virtual hypostasis of a notebook, or rather even a piece of paper. The pen behaves like a fine-tipped felt-tip pen, you can choose the color. There again magic eraser, eliminating the need to cross out or aiming over errors, and from the new one - changing the background color, recognizing what was written, setting a reminder and the ability to collapse the note to the hanging on top open application pictogram. It is interesting that the “leaf” itself is easily reduced in size and moved around the screen. With a 5.7-inch diagonal display of the Note 5, the working area is enough to work with, for example, a Google Sheets spreadsheet and take notes by hand. Or just write down a sensible little thought, walking through the vastness of the Internet. Without exaggeration, there are a lot of scenarios.

Working with screenshots of the screen or area (there is different modes image capture up to the likeness of Magic Wand from PS) is no less interesting. In edit mode, there are six types of brushes with adjustable thickness and color; those who like to do everything will definitely appreciate the eyedropper. The eraser can now work in smart or normal mode. In my experiments, it was this feature of the S Pen that turned out to be most useful - it provided drafts of authors with recommendations and highlighted errors.

Also in the Note 5 there is a notebook with an eye on handwritten notes S Note, but I will not describe its functionality. A good application without reservations, but the user of the device may well choose something more specific - for design, engineering, drawing and other tasks.

It is worth specifying the question: is a stylus in a smartphone necessary for a person whose occupation is not related to handwritten notes and sketches? As for me, more likely no than yes.

For a month I have been imagining scenarios for using the stylus. A couple of times I wrote down the phone numbers on the lockscreen, but I could not recognize them normally - I write like a chicken with a paw, and the system loses some of the numbers. It would be normal handwriting, the thing would be very useful, but it would be wiser for me to spend an extra minute and immediately create a new contact. I did not take notes by hand in a notebook, although I have been carrying it with me for more than one year, with the appearance of Note 5 nothing has changed. Again, the problem of handwriting and lack of writing practice. And the buzz of noting wisdom in the moleskin with a parker pen is not here. Screenshots are very good, but it's hardly worth choosing a pen device just for the sake of them.

The stylus in Note 5 is not in the least obligatory, you don't have to use it at all. The accessory settles in the tunnel and pretends to be only a slightly protruding hat, which you stop paying attention to the day after that on the second use. And this the right approach... The Note series has historically crowned the Samsung smartphone business - the ultimate devices based on the most powerful hardware and with all the technologies available to the company. Nothing has changed today. And the stylus ... is a nice bonus for some and a good reason for a relatively small group of professionals. This is perhaps the most honest answer.

Samsung's S Pen stylus is one of the most recognizable smartphone accessories in the world. Have you ever wondered what he is capable of? Before you the most complete guide from which you will learn what the S-Pen is capable of.

Samsung's Galaxy Note series smartphones are among the most popular and productive Android devices... IN this moment eight generations of smartphones have already been released, latest model which Note 9. Samsung missed the Galaxy Note 6 immediately switched from Note 5 to Note 7. Each phone came with a proprietary S-Pen stylus, and the smartphone itself was implemented with software support.

This is an unusual stylus. Each new generation has been replenished with functionality. Thus, we focused primarily on the S-Pen. Galaxy smartphone Note 9. Most of this material will also be relevant to previous Note series devices. Well, let's start.

Clicking on the stylus not only helps to remove it from the smartphone.

Let's take a quick look at the basic S-Pen features of the Galaxy Note 9. Some of these features are carried over from previous generations, and some are completely new. Of course, we expect the Galaxy Note 10 stylus to be updated with enhancements as well.

The new S-Pen connects to the phone using Bluetooth, a feature introduced in 2018. The stylus is still inside the case, unlike most of the competition.

It is powered by a supercapacitor instead of the classic solutions with lithium-ion batteries like Microsoft Surface Pen or Apple Pencil... Samsung claims a full charge takes only 40 seconds.

A full charge allows you to use the stylus for up to 30 minutes or 200 button presses. Users are notified when the stylus battery is at the 20 percent mark.

The S Pen uses a wireless charging method while in the device. This method is different from wireless way charging the Note 9. Therefore, you cannot wirelessly charge the S Pen. charger smartphone.

According to Samsung, the stylus requires a current of 0.5 mAh to fully charge. In other words, the S Pen shouldn't affect battery life, even if supercapacitors slowly lose power over time. For reference, 0.5mAh is just 1 / 8000th of the 4000mAh battery found in the Note 9.

S-pen will still work without charging, you just can't use it as a remote control remote control, until the next charge.

The stylus tip is 0.7 mm thick. It records up to 4096 pressure levels. This is equivalent to the Microsoft Surface Pen 2 and most Wacom stylus pens.

The 2018 S Pen is available in several colors - yellow, ocean blue, lavender, black, and brown. These links can be used to check their availability on Amazon. They range in price, from $ 40 to $ 50. They are also responsible for your main letter color, but we'll talk about that later.

The range of the stylus when using bluetooth is approximately 9 meters.

A little known feature of the S Pen is its multiple nibs. Each of the recent Galaxy Note devices comes with a small tool that you can use to pry out the stylus tip. The stylus has a soft rubber tip by default, but you can replace it with a hard plastic tip. The puller should be in the box of your Galaxy Note smartphone.

Main functions

Air View function allows you to remotely control Google browser Chrome.

An example of direct S-Pen input. Direct Writing is a direct input function that fully justifies its name.

Notes on the off tap can later be saved to regular notes or left for later use.

The S-Pen comes with a variety of features. They are enabled by default and you can manage them in the settings menu.

Air View- Air View allows you to collect quick information by pointing the stylus at various elements. The feature works best in Calendar and Gallery. We do not know how the stylus will work with third party applications such as Google Calendar or Google Drive.

Direct Writing Input- Direct input that allows you to fill text boxes, actually by hand. Just hover over an empty text box, click on it and you can start handwriting.

Screen Off Memo- classic note function. You can take notes on your device without unlocking the screen. Just remove the S Pen when the screen is off and follow the onscreen instructions. You can save these notes in the app Samsung Note, make multiple entries, erase, and even change the thickness of digital ink.

PENUP- it's kind of social network for Samsung Note owners. You can create drawings, color in existing art, and share your work with other community members. The application is installed by default, and you can uninstall it if you don't need it. PENUP is also available in the store Google play.

Change S Pen ink color- you can, in fact, change the color of the digital ink of the stylus. Unfortunately, there are only two options - the actual, physical color and the white color of the pen itself. If necessary, you can buy additional styluses in different colors. The applications themselves do not allow changing colors, for example, the Screen-off memo function does not have such an option. You can change colors in Samsung Notes like most other stylus-enabled apps. This is a minus, but not so noticeable.

Visible Pointer- the pointer displayed when the S Pen is close enough to the screen. This is an old feature and is enabled by default.

Air Command features

Press this button in the Air Command menu for quick access to S Pen settings.

Air Command is the main interface for most of the S Pen's functions.

Screen Write takes a screenshot and then lets you take notes on it.

S-Pen Translate does the translation using Google Translate, which is very convenient.

Air command Is an interface for everyone to use different functions stylus. It is displayed by default when you take out the S Pen from the device. A circle appears on which you can see all the available options. You can turn it off in the settings, you don't need it. The interface does not interfere and is not displayed anywhere else.

Notes- Of course, you can take notes in the Galaxy Note. There are two functions from Air Command for taking notes. The first creates a new note, and the second opens the Samsung Notes app to view previous notes. Notes are synced across devices via account Samsung, this is helpful if you decide to upgrade to a new Note device in the future.

Smart Select Is our favorite way to take a screenshot. You can use the S Pen to mark an area anywhere on the screen and your smartphone will take a screenshot of that area. It's much better than taking huge screenshots and then cropping them when you just need to save certain information. There is also the option of capturing animation in a specific area. Smart Select can do GIFs. A very handy feature.

Translator Is a useful but unremarkable feature. You point the S-Pen at a word in a foreign language and millet will show its translation. The option uses Google Translate and we appreciate Samsung using the tried and tested options. You can also listen to the translation.

The magnification function is very useful for visually impaired people.

Live Message creates GIFs. Not entirely productive, but we like it.

Bixby Vision when using the S Pen.

Magnifier- this is another useful, but again completely unremarkable feature. Hover the pointer over something and get a magnification that makes it easy to read or see small things. It is very convenient. You can enlarge items by 150%, 200%, 250% and 300%. There is also a switch that changes the magnification type, however we didn't see much of a difference.

Glance Is a great multitasking tool to enable picture-in-picture mode for applications. Open the app, turn on Glance, and it will collapse into a small window. Hover over it to open the app in full screen again. Just move the S Pen area to return the app to Glance mode.

Bixby Vision- a slightly controversial function that can identify various elements on the device screen and show information about them. It can be seen that the option was made somehow and, frankly, it does not work well. It is best used to extract text from an image using OCR technology or to scan a QR code. The rest of the features are just not polished enough yet.

Adding Applications- Air Command lets you add your own apps to the interface. We recommend adding apps that you use frequently with the stylus. For testing purposes, we even added the Draw Something game, as we often use the stylus with it.

Accessing S Pen Settings- after opening the Air Command interface, you can click on the wheel in the upper left corner to access all various settings S-Pen. This is the fastest way.

Hardware Features

S-Pen Menu - the best place to check the battery level of the stylus.

If the S Pen disconnects from the Note, get ready to see this screen.

Many apps have separate S Pen functions for remote control.

With the S Pen, you can open any application by holding down the remote control button.

There are also additional small hardware features. Usually, this section is pretty boring. However, the addition of battery, Bluetooth, and remote control capabilities has brought a lot more material into this category along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Lost alarm Is a hardware feature that comes from older versions of the S Pen. When the stylus is removed from the device and carried over a long distance, the Galaxy Note will constantly remind you that it is missing until you put it back. This is good way do not lose it, everything is such an expensive accessory.

Power saving mode- enabled by default. The Galaxy Note will not try to detect the presence of an S Pen while it is in the phone. This saves valuable battery life. The option can be disabled.

Sound and vibration- you can set your Galaxy Note to serve sound sound and vibrated slightly when removing the S Pen. Both of these options are enabled by default.

Unlock with S Pen- you can set up your device to unlock with S Pen instead of PIN, password, fingerprint scanner and so on. This is a fun way, but we don't recommend it. Keeping a key in a lock, shall we say, is not a good idea.

Alarm and power saving options for S Pen.

You can unlock your smartphone using the S Pen. However, we think keeping the key in the lock is a bad idea.

Remote control capabilities- Galaxy Note 9 with S Pen introduced remote control capabilities. This can be used in two ways. The former allows the S Pen to perform tasks inside specific apps. It works with many applications like Microsoft Office, Google chrome and many others. The available controls can be viewed in the Settings menu. They will automatically appear for any application that might be using them.

Changing Remote Control Settings- you can also customize any app that uses remote control. Each application can have up to two functions, one and double tap S Pen buttons. Popular examples include flipping slides. I have been using this feature with Google Chrome.

Remote opening of applications- you can also set the stylus to open the app by long pressing the button. Unlike a real remote function, you can open any app you want, but only one at a time. The camera starts up by default.

Controls aren't limited to just one app- any program that can use the function works remote control... You can switch from the camera app to PowerPoint and then to Chrome. All S Pen compatible apps will work unless you turn off the option.

Remote control- the stylus can control the camera and music playback. The option should work in all applications with camera or music playback functionality. You can, for example, take snapshots on Snapchat.

Music remote control worked in all music and podcast apps I tried (Samsung Music, Pulsar, Google Play Music, YouTube and even Pocket Casts). It is possible to customize the function, but there are not many possibilities.

The S Pen has always been relevant. The stylus is still adored by people. It can do a bunch of useful things, and we can't wait to see what Samsung has in store for the future.

If we missed any features, let us know in the comments!

The S Pen makes apps easier and more convenient. The possibilities offered by the stylus for the Note S will be discussed below.

1. Quick commands.

This is one of those S Pen features that most people overlook for a long time. But it is incredibly useful - it allows you to launch any application with a single stroke of the pen. All you need is to hold down the button on the stylus, then swipe the screen from bottom to top. At the same time, a quick command window appears on the screen. Desired application will be launched by you when you draw a symbol on the screen that you have predefined.

2. Optical letter recognition.

The OCR function will let you not even remember about virtual keyboard... And if you need to suddenly write text message, send a letter or find something in global network- take a stylus, and at this moment your keyboard will become a window for writing. OCR perfectly recognizes characters, although we have not tested this feature with a doctor.

3. Stylus keeper.

The S Pen is useful, but losing it is as easy as using it. Samsung has developed S Pen Keeper, a program that will prevent you, for example, from getting too far from the stylus. The gadget itself informs you that the stylus is missing in the phone. It is easy to check it - put the stylus separately from the phone and move away, then you will hear the notification alarm.

4. Draw with the S Pen.

The S Pen stylus opens up new horizons for creative people and children. S Note has a great Idea Sketch feature. It makes it possible to add sketches of objects by name - ideal for kids' education or entertainment.

5. Screengrabs.

The stylus allows you to make screengrabs, and it's amazingly easy. Hold the button on the S Pen and draw any area. Immediately after that, everything that was in the selected area will be saved as a screenrub.
