There are no questions about constipation - you will not accidentally press the button, and if this happens, the accessory will not fall out of the cramped tunnel. But the perfectionist in me is dissatisfied with the design part. The stylus does not fit flush with the plane of the end face and sticks out carelessly. Not elegant at all.

In edit mode, there are six types of brushes with adjustable thickness and color; those who like to do everything will definitely appreciate the eyedropper. The eraser can now work in smart or normal mode. In my experiments, it was this feature of the S Pen that turned out to be most useful - it provided drafts of authors with recommendations and highlighted errors.

Also in the Note 5 there is a notebook with an eye on handwritten notes S Note, but I will not describe its functionality. A good application without reservations, but the user of the device may well choose something more specific - for design, engineering, drawing and other tasks.

It is worth specifying the question: is a stylus in a smartphone necessary for a person whose occupation is not related to handwritten notes and sketches? As for me, more likely no than yes.

A full charge allows you to use the stylus for up to 30 minutes or 200 button presses. Users are notified when the stylus battery is at the 20 percent mark.

The S Pen uses a wireless charging method while in the device. This method is different from wireless way charging the Note 9. Therefore, you cannot wirelessly charge the S Pen. charger smartphone.

It is very convenient. You can enlarge items by 150%, 200%, 250% and 300%. There is also a switch that changes the magnification type, however we didn't see much of a difference.

Glance Is a great multitasking tool to enable picture-in-picture mode for applications. Open the app, turn on Glance, and it will collapse into a small window. Hover over it to open the app in full screen again. Just move the S Pen area to return the app to Glance mode.

Bixby Vision- a slightly controversial function that can identify various elements on the device screen and show information about them. It can be seen that the option was made somehow and, frankly, it does not work well. It is best used to extract text from an image using OCR technology or to scan a QR code. The rest of the features are just not polished enough yet.

Adding Applications- Air Command lets you add your own apps to the interface. We recommend adding apps that you use frequently with the stylus. For testing purposes, we even added the Draw Something game, as we often use the stylus with it.

Remote opening of applications- you can also set the stylus to open the app by long pressing the button. Unlike a real remote function, you can open any app you want, but only one at a time. The camera starts up by default.

Controls aren't limited to just one app- any program that can use the function works remote control... You can switch from the camera app to PowerPoint and then to Chrome. All S Pen compatible apps will work unless you turn off the option.

Remote control- the stylus can control the camera and music playback. The option should work in all applications with camera or music playback functionality. You can, for example, take snapshots on Snapchat.

Music remote control worked in all music and podcast apps I tried (Samsung Music, Pulsar, Google Play Music, YouTube and even Pocket Casts). It is possible to customize the function, but there are not many possibilities.

The S Pen is useful, but losing it is as easy as using it. Samsung has developed S Pen Keeper, a program that will prevent you, for example, from getting too far from the stylus. The gadget itself informs you that the stylus is missing in the phone. It is easy to check it - put the stylus separately from the phone and move away, then you will hear the notification alarm.

4. Draw with the S Pen.

The stylus allows you to make screengrabs, and it's amazingly easy. Hold the button on the S Pen and draw any area. Immediately after that, everything that was in the selected area will be saved as a screenrub.
