How to find drivers for a computer with a self-selected configuration! Reasons and solutions for the problem with the inability to install the driver on the video card.

Situations with the impossibility of installing a driver on a video card are very common. Such problems always require an immediate solution, because without a driver, instead of a video card, we just have a few very expensive pieces of hardware.

There are many reasons why the software refuses to install. Let's analyze the main ones.

NVIDIA

Green software, for all its ease of use (“install and use”), can be quite sensitive to various system factors, such as bugs, software conflicts, incorrect installation or uninstallation of previous editions or additional software.

AMD

The main problem when installing drivers from "red" is the presence of an old software... It is for this reason that AMD software may refuse to be installed on the system. The solution is simple: before installing the new software, you need to completely remove the old one. The easiest way to do this is with official program AMD Clean Uninstall.

note that this action will completely remove AMD components from the system, that is, not only the display program, but other software as well. If you are using a platform from Intel, then the method suits you. If your system is based on AMD, then it is better to use another program called Display Driver Uninstaller. You can read how to use this software in this article.

Intel

Problems with installing drivers on integrated graphics from Intel are quite rare and mostly complex in nature, that is, they are the result of incorrect installation of other software, in particular, for the chipset. This is most common during software updates on laptops, which we will discuss below.

Laptops

V this section Let's talk about the procedure for installing drivers on a laptop, since this is where the "root of evil" lies. The main mistake in solving problems with the software of the laptops is "sorting", that is, attempts to install different software, if "it did not work." Such advice can be obtained on some forums: "did you put this one?", "Try this one more." The result of such actions in most cases is the loss of time and blue screen of death.

Let's analyze special case with a Lenovo laptop with an AMD graphics card and Intel integrated graphics.

As mentioned above, the order of software installation must be observed.

  1. First of all, we install the driver for the motherboard chipset (chipset).
  2. Then we install the Intel integrated graphics software.
  3. The last driver to install is the discrete graphics card driver.

So let's get started.

  1. Go to the official Lenovo website, find the link "Drivers" on the menu "Support and Warranty".

  2. On the next page enter the model of our laptop and press ENTER.

  3. Next, you need to follow the link "Drivers and Software".

  4. Scroll down the page and find the block with the name "Chipset"... Open the list and find the driver for our operating system.

  5. Click on the eye icon opposite the software name, and then click on the link "Download".

  6. In the same way, we download the software for the integrated Intel video core. It is located in the block "Display and video cards".

  7. Now we install in turn the driver for the chipset, and then for the integrated graphics core... After each installation, a reboot is mandatory.
  8. The final step is to install the software for the discrete graphics card. Here you can already use the software downloaded manually from the official AMD or NVIDIA website.

Windows 10

The desire of Microsoft developers to automate everything and everyone often leads to some inconvenience. For example, the top ten provides for updating video card drivers through the standard Windows update center. Attempts to install the software manually can lead to errors, up to the inability to install. Since a driver is a set system files, then the OS thus "protects" us from software that is wrong from its point of view.

There is only one way out: manually check for updates and install the driver.

As you can see, there is nothing wrong with installing drivers, the main thing is to follow simple rules and systematize actions.

A driver is a special program that each device needs to communicate with a computer. Such devices include the chipset (control circuit) of the motherboard, sound card, network card, video card, disk controllers, etc.

Windows contains many drivers for various devices required for the initial installation and startup of the operating system. But they are usually simplistic and obsolete, and some modern devices and are not defined at all and do not work. Therefore, after installing Windows, the first step is to install all the necessary drivers.

2. Installing drivers from disk

The easiest way is to install the drivers from the motherboard disk that came with the computer upon purchase. Insert the disc into the drive and wait for the installation menu to appear. In Windows 7 and higher, startup confirmation may still be required installation program from disk.

If the menu does not appear, then right-click on the disk in Explorer and select "Install or run a program from media", "Open autorun ..." or something similar.

You can also open the disc in Explorer and independently run the file "Autorun.exe", "Setup.exe", "AsusSetup.exe" or similar.

But previous way better, as the system will run the correct file itself.

The setup menu can look differently. We are interested in drivers for the chipset, sound card and network card.

The first step is to install the drivers for the chipset and restart the computer. Then you can install the rest of the drivers. If you are not in a hurry, then I recommend restarting your computer after installing each driver. If you are in a hurry, then reboot after installing the driver on the chipset, and then install everything without rebooting, in most cases everything will be fine.

There may be many more different programs and utilities on the disk, but usually there is no special need for them and they only slow down the computer. Therefore, I recommend installing only what you really need and you know how to use it. It is better to first look for information on the Internet for what this or that program is needed. Some of them are designed for overclocking and, if used incorrectly, can harm your computer.

3. Downloading drivers from the motherboard website

If you do not have an installation disk or the computer was bought for a long time and the drivers on the disk could be outdated, then the best option will download drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's website.

If your computer is connected to the Internet with a cable or via Wi-Fi, then you should already have a driver for a network card or Wi-Fi adapter... Download this driver in advance, because if Windows does not have a driver for the network card, you will not be able to access the Internet.

If you connect via a USB modem, then the drivers for it are usually installed automatically when you connect the modem to a PC or from the supplied disk.

Note also that the drivers can be large (up to 1 GB), so you could download all of them in advance, especially if you have a slow Internet connection.

So, Windows has been installed and we immediately go to the motherboard manufacturer's website for drivers. On the site you need to find the section "Service", "Support" or something similar. But so that you do not search for a long time, I have compiled a list of addresses by which you will immediately be taken to the desired section. You can download this list in the section "".

After going to the site, enter the exact model of your motherboard in the search field.

The model is indicated on the box and on the motherboard itself. Also, the manufacturer and model of the motherboard can be found using the "CPU-Z" program, which you can also download in the "" section.

After the model is found on the manufacturer's website, you need to go to the "Downloads" or "Drivers" tab and select the version and bitness Windows which you are installing.

You will see a list with many different files.

Everything about your motherboard will be here. These are BIOS and user manuals and various utilities. But we are primarily interested in the drivers for the chipset, sound and network card.

There may be several driver versions, see the date and download the latest version for each device, usually they are on the top lines. V in this case all drivers have only one version. Moreover, there is no separate driver for the network card, which means that it is included in the driver package for the chipset. There is a separate driver for a sound card and a controller driver AHCI disks... The AHCI driver only needs to be installed if Windows installation, the BIOS has selected the appropriate one.

AHCI drivers have a positive effect on the stability and speed of the disk, but if your computer still does not work fast enough, install it and your system will become much faster and more responsive!

HDD A-Data Ultimate SU650 120GB

Then just download the files and if they are in a ZIP archive, then unpack and run the executable file. If the driver was already in the form of an executable EXE file, you can start it immediately. The drivers are installed in the usual sequence. First, the chipset driver and restart the computer, then everyone else.

4. If there are no drivers for the required version of Windows

If the motherboard is old and it so happened that the drivers for the desired Windows version no, that is, there are several ways:

  • search for drivers on the chipset developer's website
  • installing drivers using Windows Update
  • driver installation previous version Windows
  • installing drivers using special utilities
  • search and install drivers manually

5. Search for drivers on the chipset developer's website

You can try to find a driver for the chipset on the websites of their developers Intel, AMD, nVidia. You can find out what chipset you have on the motherboard manufacturer's website or using the "CPU-Z" program, which we have already talked about.

On the site of the chipset developer, the driver is searched in the same way as on the site of the motherboard. Links to the necessary sections of the chipset developers' sites are in the "" section.

5.1. Find drivers for Intel chipset

Select everything in the search form as indicated below and click "Search".

In the search results window, select Drivers and the version of Windows you are installing.

Download and install the latest Intel Chipset Driver Update.

Select your chipset series and click on "DISPLAY RESULTS".

In the search results window, make sure these are drivers for your chipset and click "DOWNLOAD".

5.3. Find drivers for nForce chipset

NVidia made chipsets under the nForce trademark and there are still quite a few computers with such chipsets. If this is your case, then go to the nVidia website, fill out the form and click "SEARCH".

Let me remind you that you can determine which chipset you have using the "CPU-Z" program (see p. 5). If for some reason you find it difficult to do this, then to automatically detect your chipset, use the "MOTHERBOARD DRIVERS" button in the form shown in the screenshot above.

Make sure you find the correct drivers, download and install them.

6. Installing the video card driver

After installing the drivers on the chipset, I advise you to download and install the driver on the video card first. Thanks to this, a convenient screen resolution for further adjustment will be established and the system will start working faster. Links to sites where you can download drivers for video cards are in the "" section.

If you have a GeForce video card, then go to the driver download section on the nVidia website, specify your video card model, Windows version and click the "SEARCH" button.

Once the driver is found, click the DOWNLOAD NOW button.

Wait until the file is downloaded and run it. Installation is quite simple, you just need to click the "Next" button a few times.

If you have Radeon graphics, then go to the driver download section on the AMD website, select the series your video card belongs to, and download the driver for the required version of Windows.

If you have an older video card and it is not listed, then use the search on the AMD website. After downloading the file, run it. Installation is quite simple, you just need to click the "Next" button a few times.

7. Installing drivers using Windows Update

It happens that the website of the motherboard manufacturer does not have drivers for the sound and network card for the required version of Windows. But do not rush, if the sound and the Internet are working normally, then Windows has installed its own drivers for them and in this case it is better not to touch anything.

If something still does not work, then you can try to install the missing drivers using the center windows updates... To do this, click on the START button and go to the "Control Panel \ Hardware and Sound \ Devices and Printers" section. Right-click on the icon with the name of your computer or laptop and select "Device Installation Options".

Select the radio button to "Install drivers from Windows Update if they are not found on the computer" and click the "Save" button.

After that, the operating system will start searching for missing drivers on the Internet and, if found, will automatically install them.

8. Installing drivers of the previous version of Windows

If you did not manage to find drivers for the required operating system, then you can for the operating Windows systems 8 try to install the driver from Windows 7, and for Windows 7 you can install the driver from Windows Vista. In most cases, they are compatible, it is only important to observe the bitness (x64 to x64, x32 to x32). These drivers need to be downloaded from the motherboard manufacturer's website, which we have already discussed.

9. Installing drivers using the DPS utility

If you did not manage to find and install drivers on some device or your computer is too old, then you can try to do it using special utility « Driver Pack Solution Online ”(DPS). You can download it in the "" section.

This utility determines what devices you have, the version of the operating system, downloads the necessary drivers via the Internet and installs them. Run the utility and click "Install manually".

I think this option is better, since it will allow you to abandon the drivers that have already been downloaded from the manufacturers' websites and installed in the system. You can also disable the installation of unnecessary additional programs.

Check the boxes only for those drivers that you could not install by other means. For example, I selected a driver for a sound card.

Go to the "Soft" section and you can choose additional programs you want to install. In principle, this is convenient if you have just reinstalled the system and you do not yet have the most necessary programs. I marked with checkboxes the programs that I consider useful and recommend for installation.

After that, click the "Install All" button and the utility will install all the drivers and programs you have selected.

10. Installing drivers using DPS drayverpak

A driverpack is a collection of drivers for a large number of devices. If you are often faced with installing drivers on various computers or you have a slow Internet connection, then you can download full version"Driver Pack Solution" on a computer with fast internet, and then use it to install drivers on any computer.

The disadvantage of this solution is the large volume of drayverpack (about 10 GB). Thus, to use it on various PCs, you will need an external HDD or a flash drive with a volume of 16 GB or more.

11. How to check if all drivers are installed

In order to check whether all the necessary drivers are installed, you need to go to the "Device Manager". This can be done in several ways.

1. Click the right mouse button on the "Computer" icon on the desktop or in the START menu and select "Manage".

Then go to the "Device Manager" section.

2. Click the START button and go to Control Panel \ Hardware and Sound \ Device Manager.

The first way is easier and faster.

If the Other Devices section contains icons with exclamation mark, it means that the driver for this device is not installed.

If there are exclamation mark icons in other sections, this means that the driver is installed, but it probably did not work and the device does not work.

In such cases, you will need to find and install the driver for these devices manually, which we will talk about further.

Go to Device Manager, right-click on the problem device and select Properties.

Go to the "Details" tab, select "Hardware ID" in the "Property" field, find in any line the device ID in the format "VEN_xxxx & DEV_xxxx" or "VID_xxxx & PID_xxxx" (instead of "xxxx" there will be 4 characters).

Write down this data or right-click on any line and click "Copy". Go to the site "DevID.info" and enter in search string device ID and click Search.

Select your version of Windows and click on the name of the found device driver or the floppy disk icon.

Often two driver formats are offered - a repackaged file "devid.info" and "Original file".

If you have fast internet and you are in no hurry, then it is better to download the "Original file", as there are fewer problems with its installation. If the Internet is slow or running out of time, then try downloading the repackaged file "devid.info".

If you downloaded the driver in a ZIP archive, then extract all files from it before installing. If the driver has been downloaded as an executable EXE file, then it can be immediately launched for installation. Installation is quite simple, you just need to run the executable file (such as "Setup.exe") and several times click the "Next" button or another similar.

If the driver does not have an executable file, you will have to install it manually. To do this, in the device manager, right-click on the device for which you downloaded the driver and select "Update drivers ...".

Then "Search for drivers on this computer."

Click the "Browse" button, specify the folder into which you unpacked the downloaded file with drivers and click "Next".

If a suitable driver is found in the specified folder, it will be installed and the device should disappear from the list of undefined devices in the device manager.

13. Roll back or remove the driver

Sometimes it may happen that the driver that you installed does not work or works worse. For example, there was background noise or clicks after installing the driver on the sound card. In this case, you can roll back the driver to a previous version or remove the current driver from the system.

In order to roll back the driver to the previous version, go to the "Device Manager", right-click on the desired device and select "Properties".

In the window that appears, go to the "Driver" tab and click the "Rollback" button.

If the Roll Back button is not active or if rolling back the driver did not help, then you can try to remove the incorrectly working driver. To do this, in the same window, you need to click the "Remove" button and confirm the removal of the driver.

After that, restart your computer and the system will again try to find and install the most suitable driver for the device. If the device does not work, try to find and install a different driver using one of the methods we have reviewed.

14. Do I need to update drivers

Manufacturers periodically release updated versions drivers that fix found bugs and improve compatibility with other devices and software.

Some enthusiasts like to keep drivers up to date latest versions... But, if you are not a sufficiently experienced user and your computer works fine, then I do not advise you to do this. Since some problems may appear with updating drivers, and you may not have enough experience to fix them yourself.

The only driver that is recommended to keep up to date is the driver for the video card, since it adds support for new games and improves performance in old ones. However, also don't rush to update it if all of your games are working well. Because games during development are always tested on older drivers, and new versions of them can cause performance degradation. Update the driver for the video card if you have problems in some games.

15. Other drivers and installation methods

Drivers for other devices can be found on the websites of their manufacturers. If you know others good ways or programs for installing drivers, share them in the comments!

16. Links

Below you can download all the files mentioned in the article.

After installing all the drivers, I recommend doing it again on external drive... This will help you quickly recover your system with all drivers in case of a crash.

Installation official drivers.

Never try to install software that was downloaded from questionable and unverified sites. For these purposes, there is an official nVidia website. If you downloaded drivers from other sources, visit the nVidia website and download the software from there. It is best to download and install the latest drivers.

Cleaning the system from old versions of drivers.

To do this, it is better to use specialized programs that will remove old drivers from absolutely everywhere. We recommend using the Display Driver Uninstaller or DDU utility for this.

Virus software and antivirus.

In rare cases, the above error can be caused by a virus that "lives" on your computer. Perform a system scan for such pests. Sometimes, it is not the virus itself that can interfere, but the antivirus software. Therefore, if you did not find viruses after scanning, try disabling your antivirus while installing the nVidia drivers. Sometimes it helps.

Error 2: Incorrect bitness and version of the system

Such an error often means that when choosing a driver, you simply made a mistake in the version of your operating system and / or its bitness. If you do not know these parameters, then you need to do the following.

Error 3: Invalid video card model selected

The error highlighted in the screenshot with a red frame is quite common. It says that the driver you are trying to install does not support your video card. If you are simply mistaken, then you just need to go to the nVidia download page and carefully fill in all the points. Then download the software and install it. But what if you don't really know the model of your video adapter? In this case, you need to do the following.

NVIDIA driver is not installed

Solution: NVIDIA driver is not installed

There are many reasons for the inability to install the NVIDIA driver. From the banal non-coincidence of the operating system and driver versions to the lack of information about the video adapter in the driver itself. We will dwell on the latter case in more detail.

First of all, you need to be sure that the installed video driver is compatible with your operating system and video card. If they are not compatible, you will see a message: "It is impossible to continue installing NVIDIA."

This warning looks like this:

The installation program signals that there is no video adapter for which this driver is intended, but this is not always the case.

The sequence of actions will be carried out in the windows 7 x32 operating system, therefore some differences are possible for windows XP.

First of all, you need to get into the "Device Manager". Click "Start" "Control Panel" "Device Manager".

Without a driver, any graphics card is defined as "Standard VGA graphics adapter"

Double click on the inscription "Standard VGA graphics adapter" and in the window that appears, go to the "Information" tab. In the drop-down menu, select the item "Equipment ID" and the most top line this is the identifier of our video card.

Those. in our case, the video card identifier will be the line: PCI \ VEN_10DE & DEV_0407 & SUBSYS_30CC103 & REV_A1, right-click on this inscription and select "Copy", now the line with the device description for the driver is in the clipboard.

After the first installation, the NVIDIA driver is self-extracting by default into the C: \ NVIDIA \ DisplayDriver \ 301.42 directory (the folder with the driver version name) \ WinVista_Win7 \ International \ Display.Driver \ Next, we find the nvaa.inf file located in the Display.Driver folder

We open it with notepad or any other text editor... Using the Ctrl + F key combination, we find the line inside the file.Under it there is a list of video cards identified by this driver for windows Vista and windows 7 and without SP1

Now, you need to add the copied line to the clipboard. The same should be done under the line. As a result, it should look like in the picture below.

Everything is fine, the driver has recognized our video card, you can proceed with the installation.

Solving problems installing Nvidia drivers

During the installation of the software, problems of various kinds can arise. Some can be solved quite quickly on their own, and there are others that will have to spend some effort to resolve them. Nvidia graphics accelerators, due to their popularity, are installed on their computers a large number of users, and sometimes it crashes during the installation of drivers. What to do in this case?

The easiest way: use DrivePack to update all drivers automatically and fix the problem.

Failed to install drivers

Installing drivers for Nvidia graphics cards may crash and stop during the startup process. In this case, a window is displayed on the screen with a warning about the failure that has occurred:

There may be several reasons for this situation. This and the incompatibility of the driver and the device, or the software may not be designed to work with the existing operating system. How to proceed? You need to start by removing the version of the driver that is already installed.

Removing the old version of the driver

To clear the system of the driver being used, you need to perform a few simple steps:

  • through the "Start" menu go to the "Control Panel";
  • find the "System and Security" section there and enter it;

  • in the item "System" open "Device Manager";
  • in the list of video cards, find the one whose driver caused the error;
  • remove the driver by going to the device menu with the right mouse button.
  • restart the operating system.

Now you can continue the process.

Downloading the latest driver version

One of the reasons for an error during loading may be the inoperability of the file with the driver itself, or its outdated version. On the Nvidia website, you need to download the new version by selecting your device and the system in which it will be used according to the following algorithm:

  • model selection;
  • "Search"
  • Download Now.

If removing the old version doesn't help

When old version the driver is removed, and the downloaded current release is still not installed, you can advise to take the following steps:

  • manually unpack the archive with the driver using any archiver;
  • Install the driver using the device manager (go to the device properties as described above, and in the "Driver" tab, click "Update"); first of all, you need to select the Display Driver folder, then HDAudio;
  • To restart a computer.

In some cases, disabling the antivirus before installation can help. You must not forget to turn it on again after a successful update. Another way is related to tampering with the driver files: in the properties of the video adapter (in the "Device Manager" section) in the "Details" tab, find the second line with the hardware ID and copy it.

Find the nvamn.inf file in the folder where the driver is installed and open it with Notepad. Scroll the text to the line and paste the copied fragment right after it. One must not forget to bring appearance the inserted row to the standard view, for this you need to insert the first part in front of it next line to the point. The next step is to copy the newly created line and paste it in two places after this text further in the file:

Why won't the Nvidia driver install? Solving all problems with installing the driver for the Nvidia video card

Despite the fact that the process of active computerization began more than two decades ago, there is still a long way to go to completely eradicate the complexities arising from the interaction of a user and a computer. So, now one of the pressing problems is the process of installing control programs for one or another computer equipment.

Two bridges to the world of video

Once upon a time, video adapters for computers were produced various firms: Trident, S3, NVIDIA, Ati, Cirrus Logic, Matrox, etc. Since then, a lot has changed, and on this moment the most common products are from only two companies - AMD and NVIDIA. The famous Intel never presented a discrete solution, limiting itself to a line of video cards integrated in CPU... It is believed that the popularity of Nvidia products is higher than AMD, so it is quite understandable that users often face difficulties when using video cards from this particular manufacturer.
This is the main reason. It is worth noting that because of all the above, it is impossible to say that Nvidia is not installed, while the Intel driver works stably. It is also necessary to take into account the degree of distribution of solutions from a particular manufacturer. In this article we will answer the question “why Nvidia driver geforce is not installed? " and point out the ways to solve it.

Correct control program

In order for applications to display all colors correctly and to be able to use 3D acceleration, you need to install a video card driver. This is a special program that is installed once and provides interaction between the operating system and the hardware units of the video adapter. One of the reasons why the driver is not installed Nvidia graphics cards, lies in the fact that users download the control program from unverified sources. It can be various forums, overclocking resources, sites by directions. For "advanced" computer scientists, such drivers are an opportunity to increase the performance of the video subsystem or get some additional features blocked in official releases.

However, ordinary users who decide to get all these fabulous bonuses are often faced with the fact that the Nvidia driver is not installed. When you try to install, you may receive messages about any inconsistency, an error in memory addresses, about a driver already present in the system, etc. All this can be avoided by downloading the program from the manufacturer's official website. So, the first rule says: the driver must be obtained from the Internet resource of the company - the manufacturer of the video chip; a support disk supplied with the computer / laptop; site of the assembly company (Asus, MSI ...).

Reading the markings

Some users, having entered an Internet page, get lost in its seemingly simple menu and download the wrong thing. Unsurprisingly, trying to use other control programs leads to the fact that the topic is often raised on the forums "why is the Nvidia driver not installing?" Every owner personal computer or a laptop must know the full name of the video adapter installed in its system unit or the type of chip used. These data are provided on the website of the assembly company.

Let's look at two examples. There is an Asus GTX780TI-P-3GD5 video card. Going to the site of the same name and selecting the "Computers and accessories" section, you can find the specified model. Its characteristics indicate that this card based on nVidia video processor GeForce GTX 780Ti.

Or, the laptop's sticker says "nVidia GeForce 8400 GS". In this case, the name of the chip used is directly indicated. In other words, the second rule says: know the exact name of the video chip!

Right choice

Avoid the question "why is the Nvidia driver not installing?" it is possible if you select the program corresponding to the chip. Previously, the principle of backward compatibility was followed, in which newest versions could have been installed to support outdated video card models, but this is now the exception rather than the rule.

Thus, on the Nvidia website, you need to go through the menu tree "Drivers" - "Download drivers". Here the user will be prompted to fill in the simplest table by specifying the type, series, family, and operating system. After clicking the "Search" button, a link to the most suitable program will be displayed, which you need to download and install.

The manufacturer also offers the opportunity to try a test version of the control program, which, in theory, should have a number of advantages. The choice is the same, except that you need to follow the link "Beta versions". Note that an attempt to install it may cause an error like "Nvidia video card driver is not installed" - here you are, how lucky.

So, the third rule: it is recommended to download and install the control program marked as WHQL ( verified for compatibility). An indispensable condition is the exact indication, if not of the family of the video chip, then at least of its series (for the 780Ti it is 700, and for the notebook 8400GS - the 8M series).

There is a contact

Sometimes even experienced computer specialists are faced with the fact that the Nvidia driver is not installed in any way. The reason may be not only software, but also hardware. As you know, a discrete video card is inserted with a comb of sliding contacts into a special connector on the motherboard. Fixation takes place by means of screws or special fasteners. In some cases, in order for the card to slide out of the slot a little, it is enough just to accidentally touch the hard video adapter-monitor cable. The performance is not completely lost, but there are software problems in the form of the impossibility of using 3D functions, limiting the color gamut, periodic artifacts on the screen. This does not install the Nvidia driver, so the problem cannot be solved this way.

How to install drivers

I understand the question! There are situations when it is quite difficult to find drivers for a specific device. For example, take the case of our reader. Usually drivers for all laptop devices are present on the website of this laptop itself, and if there are no drivers there, then what to do? Of course, this happens quite rarely, but it happens.
As you understand, all components for a laptop are supplied by certain manufacturers and each such manufacturer has an official website on which drivers for Windows XP, Windows 7 or Windows 8 are probably posted. and not all of them are in Russian. It's a good thing, for such a case, to run special program and it will find all the drivers not installed in Windows.
There are not so many good and free programs that can determine the drivers missing in the operating system, and even install them. In my articles, I often mention the DriverPack Solution program. Service automatic installation driver ma-config.com is also good and we will talk about it today. But first of all, to install the missing driver, you need to use the capabilities of the operating system itself Windows 7, Windows 8. How? Find out now! Let's take a look at some good ways to automatically install drivers.

How to install drivers automatically using Windows itself

One friend brought me a laptop, which had one device without a driver, together with his friends he searched the entire Internet and could not find this ill-fated driver. Finally, everyone decided that the device was faulty, so the driver could not be installed on it, so the laptop came to me.

Modern operating systems from Microsoft Windows 7, 8 contain a huge database of drivers for a huge number of different devices. We will use this database to help ourselves. Before starting work, I recommend creating a system restore point.
Let's apply the Device Installation Parameters tool, with its help you can install the missing driver into the operating system. Some experienced users do not use it, considering that the drivers "from Microsoft" are truncated, maybe this is so, but it is better than nothing and the device will work with them, and not an eyesore with a yellow circle in Device Manager.
Usually, the Device Installation Options tool is disabled for users, let's enable it and see how it works, for this you just need to switch the Device Installation Settings tool to Automatic mode in the Control Panel.
In Windows 7 Start-> Devices and Printers.

In Windows 8, right-click in the left corner and also select "Control Panel"

Right-click on the name of your computer and select "Device Installation Options"

Check the box "Yes, do it automatically (recommended)" and Save.

If the operating system contains a device without drivers, then almost immediately there will be an automatic search and installation of drivers on these devices.

But sometimes the system will not be able to do this and you will see such a warning "The driver could not be found"

Or you can just go to Device Manager, right-click on a device without drivers and select "Update Drivers" and it will search for drivers for the device.
