General features, of course, are available: for example, a black frame, covered with the same transparent sheet as the display. And yet, in Iconia Tab A500 there is some kind of identity - unlike many other tablets.
On the front of the front, the total minimalism reigns: physical buttons in Acer Iconia TAB A500 is not provided, only virtual. From an interesting here you can get angry except that the small window of the chamber. And also quite miniature - in the photo it is not visible at all - the eyes of the light sensor.
And, of course, there is a display immediately - perhaps the strongest location of this tablet computer. With a diagonal of 10 inches, it has a resolution of 1280x800 - the pixel does not cut the eye, the picture looks smooth. The speakers in the iconia tab A500 are two, both are located on the rear panel. The volume of their sound is quite high - at the level of the average laptop. Especially to worry about what they can be covered with fingers or knees - in this case, "forward" they begin to sound even louder.
The rear panel has a second camera. Her lens is a little more than the frontal, but also small. A large decorative non-peak around the eye, apparently, should emphasize the steepness of the 5-megapixel matrix.
The steepness, however, exclusively imaginary: photos are obtained, to put it mildly, disgusting. It was quite possible to do the less "megapixel" camera. And even it is not at all to be removed - it is difficult to assume that the owner of the tablet will not be at hand if not a camera, then at least the phone (and in the mobile phones they put much less shameful cameras).
The tablet is quite thin, but without busting, so that there has been a sufficiently large number on his side faces. useful elements. They are evenly distributed on different sides, which is pretty comfortable. On the right there is a power button, output to headphones and a digital video connector - unfortunately, a very exotic format of Micro HDMI. To even more regret, the corresponding cable was not found in the kit.
Both fit both uSB ports: and a full-size USB host, to which you can connect flash drives, and Micro USB-Slave used to communicate with the computer. Here you can detect the reset button and the external power supply.
On the bottom side of the case is an unidentified connector: it can be assumed that it is intended for connecting the docking station.

Despite the fact that the Iconia Tab A500 uses a display with the same diagonal value as Archos A101, the Acer tablet is noticeably larger: approximately the centimeter is wider and higher at the same thickness. Why is that? First, Archos involved the matrix with the aspect ratio of 16: 9, and the screen 16:10 was used in Icon. Secondly, the frame is wider here.
What is more unpleasant, the tablet turned out not too easy: its mass is 760 grams. Because of the "widescreen" form of the body, it strongly outweighs, if you keep it with one hand, the "reference" hand is rather quickly. Of course, when there are no problems with both hands, but it will not work with the keyboard: the screen is too wide, so that the fingers get to the center without tearing hands.
There is no built-in stand here, but as an optional accessory Acer offers a stand Cover - True, without magnets and other wonders of technology.

If you compare a device with a hits of a famous fruit company, there are certain advantages. At a minimum, the ability to normal with files without using a BDSM attraction called iTunes.
